I was hoping for a supportive shoe to help with a bad knee. However, these shoes are just too stiff, no flex whatsoever. Walked 5 miles in them and haven't worn them since.

I have been wearing this shoe ever since version 1 came out a long time ago. We walk a lot, and I have replaced them regularly (every 6 months or so). This will be my last pair of New Balance shoes. This version has been redesigned and has more material at the toe box, and the heel cup has been redesigned and my heels slip in the shoe even using the plastic heel retention lacing holes. If you have worn these shoes before, my recommendation is to look elsewhere- because the fit and feel is nothing like previous versions. I have literally had dozens of pairs of these shoes (versions one and two in both black and white- mesh and full leather) over the years- and these ones are headed to Goodwill since I cannot return them. Hugely disappointed.

the tongue on the left shoe was digging into my instep when I walked and wanted to exchange for the 487V3 that I usually buy. Sent back yesterday UPS. Will have to wait to see what NB is going to do.

I bought the 928v3 for stability but the shoe is rigid making it unwearabe for extended use.

This shoe was hard on my heel. I have been wearing the 847V3 for years and it is a much better fit for me.

I've been buying this walking shoe for over five years but this version is made for flat footed men. The tongue slides down and the laces end up and over the leather upper tongue on my foot! Terrible design. Only shoe in my whole life, that I had this problem with.
Hey New Balance- If you are going to design walking shoes for men with only flat feet then can you at least include that fact in the description of your shoe.
This is how you lose customers.

I love the look of these sneakers, but they are very uncomfortable and my back has been hurting since I have been using these sneakers.

Width is critical for me, so I was very disappointed that the 6Es I bought were noticeably narrower than 4E MW677BK pair I want to retire. You can just look at them side by side and see it -- and believe me, I feel it. In addition, they are long -- probably a true size 10, rather than the size 9.5 they are marked.

Though the shoes are new, they seem to run small especially in the width. I went up 2 widths and they are tighter than my older smaller shoes.
The room on top of your foot seems tighter to a point it hurts within 5 minutes. These are nothing like the older shoes. Thinking of returning them. Disappointed.

I have had these for some time. Initially, I assumed that the length was correct and that I just needed to tighten the laces really tight. Tonight, I used a tape measure and discovered that the length, though marked as an 8, is really a 9. No wonder I had to tighten the laces so tight. The shoes aren't the size that they purported to be. It seems like a big shoe company like New Balance could size their shoes properly. Apparently not.

Twice tried on 928 version 3. Both times the right shoe dug into the outside of my ankle and hurt just walking around in the store. Shame to design like that. Bring back version 2.

It's been over three weeks, and the soles of these shoes are still rock hard. They're just plain uncomfortable shoes

Very bad shoe . Hard as a rock. A cheaper model does a better job. Don't buy.

I am used to NB 990 sneakers, so these feel very strange and I don't like the feeling although some people may. It feels to me like there is a horizontal bar at the sole, so the shoe "rocks" when I walk. I guess the forward rock could be considered helpful for walking but I don't like it. Unfortuneate I found this out on a long outside walk so I can't return them.

I have been wearing NB shoes for over 20 years. My recent purchase may be my last. After two days of wearing, I literally cannot walk without severe pain in both feet. This was a shoe I had purchase several times in an older version and I can only deduce they made changes in the cushioning that drastically changes it. These soles feel like they are hard as rocks. I don't know why this latest version was changed, but it was a mistake. Sorry for being brutally honest but I am laid up hoping the pain disappears over the next few days.

I've been wearing New Balance 928 for years. Ordered these in same size and width and they are not the same wide width. So sad.

I purchased these "walking shoes" after buying New Balance's 608 sneakers for years. Little did I know that the heel of the "walking shoes" was inverse to the front of the shoe, just like the earth shoes of the '70's. This made my calf muscles stretch and hurt. Nowhere on New Balance's website was there an explanation or description of the shoe's design. The "walking shoe" may be fine for someone looking for the inverse configuration, but I returned them immediately and bought another pair of the 608's.

The toe has changed. appears and feels that the shoe lasts has changed as well. Even less leather across instep. Seam across top of tongue catches the laces ensuring another morning aggravation. Textured leather simply appears cheap and doesn't take a shine. Much preferred the previous editions all of which are now worn out. Disappointed but will wear these and shop for another pair.

Almost a hundred and fifty dollars wasted on poorly made cheap shoes. My first pair of New Balance shoes, what a sucker I was for the hype.
