I ordinarily take a a size 13, but this style in a 13 is much too short, more like a 12. Maybe a 14 would fit, but I don't feel like sending shoes back and forth. I'll have to go to the stores.

This product is a boot and not a comfortable walking sneaker. Still trying to break in after a month. Worse NB sneaker I purchased in years !

Ugh. I had this exact pair of shoes and wore them until they literally fell apart (3 inch rip on the side. They WERE extremely comfortable, fit my orthotics and I loved them! So, when the side ripped (after over a year), I ordered the exact same pair, same size, same ugly brown look and color. Because they worked! Something has changed in the making of this model, because no matter what I try, the tongue slips down after a few hours of wearing them, resulting in that uncomfortable feeling where the top of your foot (the bridge) feels the pressure of the material scrunching up between the shoelaces and your sock. This results in me having to take off the shoe and pull the tongue back up and put my shoe on again. And a few hours later, again. And again. Eventually, I figured out that the tongue is just a bit shorter than the same model was engineered two years ago, and that a bad run at the New Balance factory resulted in a number of negative reviews. I am returning these (even though I have worn them outside) and will order other ones in the hopes that they have the longer tongue. Still a Zappos fan!

I've been buying these 928s since v1, and I've loved them. I have gotten white, brown, black and tan pairs. So why the change to a cloth top? In a white shoe? What were you thinking? Were you thinking? It got dirty the first time I walked through some dust, and there's no way to clean them! Good job! If I wanted cheap Keds, I would have gotten Nikes. Thanks, New Balance. For nothing.

I have ordered these shoes several times before. They are sturdy with great support and have always had a very cushioned heel which I need with my back issues. My recent purchase looked like previous pairs of shoes but there is very little cushion if any in the heel and it hurts my back and knees tremendously. I don't know if the shoe changed or the insole material changed but I am in lots of pain with my recent purchase.

The tongue is so short when its laced up the laces sit across my foot instead of the tongue between my foot and the laces. Very unhappy because the shoes are so expensive.

I’ve been wearing New Balance exclusively for perhaps 15 years or more. In the last few years, they’ve changed many of their designs for the worse. This one is no exception. This model used to be comfortable right out of the box, with good cushioning and quality leather uppers. No more. This one is stiff, with cheap leather and not nearly as comfortable as past models. I have a wide, somewhat flat foot. I wear a 9.5 EE. I wound up ordering the Brooks Addiction instead, in 9.5 4E, and I love it. It’s made like New Balance used to be. I returned the New Balance. (The Brooks Addiction runs slightly narrower, so the 4E fits like the New Balance 2E).
I'd also recommend:

If I lace them snugly the left shoe rubs a sore spot on my ankle bone.

The shoes I purchased were not good. I have worn them 3 times and they have stretched. I need a different one of your pairs 10B & return this stretched pair. Not what I am used to from New Balance. Thank you

Continued complaints about the "short tongue" in these shoes suggests that this design problem has not be corrected since my purchase in November 2017. Short tongue precludes lacing to top precluding use for Serious walking, limiting use to casual wear. My pair was purchased in November of 2017. A that time I posted a review calling attention to the apparent design or manufacturing failure. Reviews posted earlier in 2017 had already noted the problem. I find it disturbing that that these "reviews" no longer are included on this site. Gray suede shoe is quite attractive. Unfortunately, the inability to lace them to the top without the laces rubbing the ankles and irritating the skin precludes its use for "serious walking", limiting my use to casual wear. I was prepared to purchase another pair if the problem had been corrected. I was further disappointed the read the similar complaints regarding the the newer 928v3 shoe in tan leather. Obviously, , no one is initiating corrective action in response to these reviews. I would be most as interested in buying a pair in tan suede if available with a "tongue" of the proper length

Toe box narrow at toes, so 6E pinches. The 813 toe box fits will. To much arch for flat feet. Returned for 813 - fits and feels great.

It’s too hard on my feet, the cushion, the leather feels hard. Maybe wearing them one more week will soften them

This version of the 928 walking shoe unfortunately does not "Roll" as you walk like the earlier version. The heel impact is jarring and then the front of your foot feels like it just flaps down, will not be buying this version again.

I buy 3-4 sneakers per year. I have two unused boxes that I may return due to the frustrating tongue that is too short. I would have rated it 5 stars if not for the tongue issue.

Very nice looking shoe, very dressy looking, unfortunately that's where the compliments end. Although the shoe looks and feels good as long as your not walking in them, the shoe will not bend with your foot movement. Try to imagine having two 2x4s strapped to your feet. These were 928v2, hope the v3's are better.

I've been wearing NB Walking shoes for over 15 years. They've declined in quality with every "redesign" This one now has a tongue so short the laces ride up over and dig into your feet. Comfort and Support for top of the line shoe, just average! Shame, were top notch, not this model.

After enjoying the comfort and spring of the first two versions of the 928 walking shoe, I am really disappointed with the tinkering that went into Version 3. For some reason, a decision was made to go with a short tongue. The result is that the ties inevitably cut into my foot after the tongue slips further back into the shoe. The rest of the shoe is great, but this feature is a serious impediment to a comfortable walk.

I have been wearing NB 928s for years. The shoes I got looked like 928s but they didn't feel like them. These shoes hurt my feet and knees. No way these were New Balance shoes. So much for buying on line

My husband never even tried on the sneaker. The picture depicts laces and the description describes laces. He was sent sneakers with velco straps. This is unacceptable as these are for work.
