Returned them. Too long and narrow. Not like the original 928s. Liked the blue suede, but the width was not accurate. Returned and disappointed . Not made well

For years now I have worn this shoe. My orthotics were made specifically for this shoe. However, in the past 2 years I can no longer wear it. This time it is the narrow toe bed. Two years ago I purchased 3 pair of the old shoe when the 928 first came out because the next model fit terribly. I had hoped this new 928v3 would be just the one. I am disappointed

This is the third pair of NB shoes I've bought (same exact size), but I have noticed this pair runs a little big.

I first ordered my size 8 1/2 M. They were way too tight, using my inserts as usual. I ordered the 9M, and 9W. I have never worn a 9 before. I settled on the 9W because they felt, better on the bottom of my feet. I waited a couple weeks to write a review. Like other reviews, they are cut lower, therefore needed to use last lace hole, making the laces much too short, and the tongue too short. Since the bottoms of my feet don't hurt, I'm keeping the 9W. I'll probably try another brand on my next pair. The dark navy does make my feet look smaller.

Ipr3030 insoles have become thinner over the years. I used to be able to feel tne met pad under my toes but not anymore. Give us back the support we used to have with these. We need that to keep walking.

I've been a faithful NB wearer since the 925, When 928v2 came out, they did not fit me at all, so I switched to Brooks, but they didn't have enough support. Switched back to NB with the 928v3, but these shoes are not as good as the original 928. The tongue is too short, and they lose support for me and the sole wears out after just 2 months of wear! I am afraid I'm looking for an alternative, as I can't afford to buy new shoes every two months.

I've been wearing NB shoes for years, since I have serious arthritis and bad feet -- mostly running shoes for the best support. This time, I thought I'd try leather for the winter. These shoes are a bit of a disappointment -- they're heavy, and the leather is very stiff -- I have a hard time getting them on and off, with my arthritic hands. But the support is good, and the shoes are not uncomfortable. I just like my fabric 990v4s better.

I've been wearing 928's for years. I'd even managed to get a couple of pairs after the v2 came out, but those are now showing signs of wear, so I ordered the 928 v3. I'm so disappointed and will return them. First, as others have written, they're a little narrower than the 928, especially around the toe box. Although I usually wear a B width, I always order a D in this shoe to accommodate my orthotics. I could fit the orthotics in, but it was tighter than usual. My biggest complaint is that the v3 is higher/deeper. This doesn't affect the fit, but they look like orthopedic shoes. I don't know what to order instead because I need a wide toe box because of arthritis. Any suggestions will be very welcome!

just couldn't handle the opening of this sneaker. the top of the tongue put pressure on the top of the foot where the leg meets. also around the ankle area was hard. wore all day and couldn't get comfortable.

I've been wearing the original 928 and possibly it's predicessor for many years. I have wide feet and used to look for an SL2. Always knew the shoes would fit if I got that last but you removed that from your search and I was forced to stick to what I knew to fit. The original 928 fit perfectly. Wide, deep toe box that gave my toes plenty of wiggle room. While no one was looking you drastically change to the 928V2 which was not even a distant cousin of the original. You did make improvements to the V2 in the V3 but the toe box is still narrower. I also have to say the NB has always provided insoles that gave support and lasted a long time. The new insoles in every shoe I've purchase over the the 5 years has gotten thinner and more flimsy. I have custom orthotics so I don't use them but that doesn't mean I haven't noticed you cheaping out on the insoles. The V1 weren't sleek or sexy and didn't look like "old lady" orthopedic shoes - even if they wore like them.

While happy with the size and fit (they were my usual 10W), I found these shoes to feel hard and uncushioned. I am incredibly disappointed that New Balance changed their website a couple of years ago. Now, you can no longer filter by things like cushioning, roomy toe box and narrow heel. This means trial and error when I order--and alot more returns.

I have depended on the 812's for years. You have no more 812"s. Why? This 928v3 seems to be the closest I can get. The toe box is larger, bigger than I need. The tongue irritates the inner ankle!!!!!! I miss being able to check the last for your shoes, since I found that AL2 works well for my back. I don't want shoes for pronation which most see to be. I hope I can make these work despite the tongue irritation. Other than the large toe box they feel similar to the 812"s which is good.

Tried hard to get a pair of these shoes that fit, but after a couple of tries, gave up. Shoe is narrow and if I got a wide, that fit of shoe was off, especially in length. Shoe looked good, but not good fit for me and all went back.

Very disappointed as I really liked the look of these shoes. New Balance used to be consistent with sizing, but not with this style. Tried usual size, 7 1/2W, way too big. 7w still too big, 6 1/2w too short. Tried putting in a thicker insole and not work. For the price would like a good fitting pair of shoes, so all sent back.

I am looking for a shoe that can be used with custom orthotics. These New Balance shoes were recommended by the professional who fabricated the arch support orthotics. I had high hopes that these would feel great, but they are heavy and very stiff. There is little give to the sole of this shoe. They are too uncomfortable to keep. They are going back.
I'd also recommend:
Nike, Asics.

I'm required to wear shoes with leather uppers for work. This was my first pair of New Balance and I returned them. The shoe was all around too tight and the heel cup was too shallow. Lengthwise they were fine, but the toe box was very narrow. I didn't bother reordering a wide as I didn't care for how low they sat on my ankle. I wear Protalus Orthotics since I walk upward of 32k steps at work. It's important for me to feel secure that my foot is inside the shoe and not walking on top of it.
I'd also recommend:
Hoka, Saucony, Brooks

Shoe was okay. No where near as comfortable in the arch as Saucony (I put my own arch supports in both shoes). Unfortunately Saucony has been making their shoes narrower.

This shoe seemed so tight in the width, and I compared the appearance of the top stitching to my other pairs of this model and the shoes I am returning seemed more pointed. I love this model for the support I have when I apply my inserts and will order again soon to see if this is how they are made now.

I used to wear Durea, but I am older now and my feet have changed.

Too short in length. My foot felt like it was right up against the front of the toe box.
