These walking shoes are okay, but because the sizes are now "universal" and not really made to fit narrow feet, they are less than perfect. My heel slips around in them, and even after ordering 1/2 size larger than previously, my toes are cramped. When I adjust the laces to tighten the heel, the shoelaces are so short they don't really tie properly and keep coming undone. For the money, I don't think they are good value at all.

I have used this shoe for years; normally buy at store 60 miles away, but sometimes online. I generally keep one pair ahead to have a new clean pair when needed. So I ordered these and made the mistake of putting them away without trying them on. Now that I have started to use them they simply don't feed right. The toe box is tighter than before and my orthotics don't feel the same. They are not the comfortable shoe I can wear all day, every day. Very disappointed in myself for not trying on immediately and in the apparent change in the sizing of the shoe.

I have worn New Balance for years. Because there is not a New Balance store where I currently live, I decided to order on line. The first pair was too short so I sent them back. I ordered the next size up in a wide. They are not fitting properly either but I have not received credit for the first pair so I am reluctant to send them back until I do. It has been almost two weeks since I sent them back and UPS shows them received two days after I shipped them! I need a good walking shoe but I may have to go elsewhere for a different brand due to this. My feet are hard to fit as I have a very high instep and need a wider toe and the stability that New Balance gives. They are quick to ship and charge credit card, but not quick to return the money.

I wanted to use these shoes for every day. Since they're leather, I might have to break them in a little bit because they are really snug on my feet compared to my 880s which are fabric.

I was trying to replace my beloved 4-year-old 812 walking shoes. This model has too built up a heel and disturbs my balance. I have since discovered the model 813 which is a perfect replacement, making me feel as though I'm walking on the level. The 928v3 is going to Good Will, a practically-unused gift for someone who likes that type of heel.

The fit in leather has been the problem for me. I have wide feet, and where I could buy other New Balance mesh shoes in Wide, I would have had to buy a WW to even come close to a fit. The footbed seems to be a medium, not wide.

I like that it's wide width .The shoes has a good streach . I don't like that it's not have a cushion insole and it's hard inside . It's also a heavy shoe. For the price I paid I expected a more comfortable shoe.

Like all NB shoes, these shoes are very well made. I have worn a similar NB shoe for years but in the last several months I tried to order the model that I regularly buy but it was never available. So I tried this model shoe. The toe was more pointed that my regular model. I wear orthopedic inserts, by the way.

The Rollerbar helps with my balance. The only thing I would complain about Is your have to get used to them right when you get them. Like you have to wear them in.

Supportive. Comfortable. Not youthful or stylish, but needing double wide requires a lowered ego or perhaps a desire to be invisible.

I've worn multiple pairs of 928v3 for a long time. I needed a new pair. I ordered the same size (9W) as I always have in the past. Upon putting the shoes on when they arrived, I discovered that they were wider than the ones I wore in the past, including the pair I was replacing. I swam in them. I returned them and ordered the medium width. The ones I got are just a wee bit tight, if I think about it. I'm going to wear them anyway. Can't return them now and I need a shoe that has maximum control over my foot and ankle.

The new shoe smell is almost overwhelmingly bad. I've worn these shoes for years; and, this is the first time this has happened.

I still haven't decided whether I like these shoes. They fit well and feel good on my feet; however, they don't bend. I feel like I'm walking flat-footed in the boxes!

When I went on a long walk the other day My husband and daughter told me that they look like nursing homes shoes. So even though felt good, I probably won't wear them too much. I need to find a better looking shoe!

I have worn the 847 shoe for many years up through the V2 style. I tried the 847V3 two times, but whatever change was made to them caused rubbing issues on the outside of of right food. I recently tried the 928, the one style that is mesh and leather. I do like. Its comfortable and recommend it for walking. Ive only worn them them for 2 weeks though and there is a small area where the leather is breaking down already, so for that reason I give it 3 stars.

I was trying to find a shoe that would allow me to use my inserts. The toe box is too tight. .I need a shoe with a roll bar for additional support. Not really happy.

These shoes seem to past the quality test. I am only a few weeks into this purchase and will update, if necessary; if I have that ability. On the downside, this shoe is heavier in weight than I desire. I don't require a shoe to look feminine, but this shoe, (especially in black,) more closely resembles a male shoe. The rise around the ankle is slightly higher than I expected, and my ankles are liking that extra support. I have no idea what on earth, roller ball technology plays into this shoe, or what the heck that means. Is this a marketing attempt, or a legit benefit? #1 on my wishlist for change is a more comfortable, cushy inner sole. In reality, I can not isolate New Balance for inferior inner soles. When I walk in many shoes nowadays, it feels hard, like cement. Adding to this frustration is having to purchase tolerable inner soles when the price of the shoes came very close to $150 with tax and shipping. I would not be happy spending half this amount on a pair of shoes that necessitated another purchase.

Ok I have worn this shoe for 8 yrs and went through all the versions. 3rd version better than the others. UNFORTUNATELY This shoe smells like tires! I get migraines from tires and rubber. So now I am not sure what I am going to do. I need the support of this shoe. But I have to be able to stand the smell. It's going back. And will new balance design other shoes with this base (like sandals)? I need this design. Please get rid of the smelly rubber soles/bases!

Why do the stable walking shoes for women have to be so ugly? Do you think that we are all little old ladies who don't care about what we wear, or how we look? It was really hard spending all this money on such an ugly shoe, but this was the only shoe recommended by my orthopedist and this color was the best of the lot. Ughhhhh

I have worn NB for 35 years, no other athletic shoe fits me so well. But from the moment I put these on (I ordered through mail while the virus is rampant and do not believe NB is open-so did not return them) the front corner of the shoe, both shoes where the laces start to end dig into my ankles.

So frustrating--size 7.5 2E a little too short, but size 82E is much bigger. Shouldn't be such a difference in 1/2 size difference. Keeping the 7.5 and hoping it will stretch and returning the 8.
