These shoes seem to past the quality test. I am only a few weeks into this purchase and will update, if necessary; if I have that ability. On the downside, this shoe is heavier in weight than I desire. I don't require a shoe to look feminine, but this shoe, (especially in black,) more closely resembles a male shoe. The rise around the ankle is slightly higher than I expected, and my ankles are liking that extra support. I have no idea what on earth, roller ball technology plays into this shoe, or what the heck that means. Is this a marketing attempt, or a legit benefit? #1 on my wishlist for change is a more comfortable, cushy inner sole. In reality, I can not isolate New Balance for inferior inner soles. When I walk in many shoes nowadays, it feels hard, like cement. Adding to this frustration is having to purchase tolerable inner soles when the price of the shoes came very close to $150 with tax and shipping. I would not be happy spending half this amount on a pair of shoes that necessitated another purchase.

Ok I have worn this shoe for 8 yrs and went through all the versions. 3rd version better than the others. UNFORTUNATELY This shoe smells like tires! I get migraines from tires and rubber. So now I am not sure what I am going to do. I need the support of this shoe. But I have to be able to stand the smell. It's going back. And will new balance design other shoes with this base (like sandals)? I need this design. Please get rid of the smelly rubber soles/bases!

Why do the stable walking shoes for women have to be so ugly? Do you think that we are all little old ladies who don't care about what we wear, or how we look? It was really hard spending all this money on such an ugly shoe, but this was the only shoe recommended by my orthopedist and this color was the best of the lot. Ughhhhh

I have worn NB for 35 years, no other athletic shoe fits me so well. But from the moment I put these on (I ordered through mail while the virus is rampant and do not believe NB is open-so did not return them) the front corner of the shoe, both shoes where the laces start to end dig into my ankles.

So frustrating--size 7.5 2E a little too short, but size 82E is much bigger. Shouldn't be such a difference in 1/2 size difference. Keeping the 7.5 and hoping it will stretch and returning the 8.

My foot and ankle doctor suggested this style as a good walking shoe for persons like myself with foot tendon issues. With a narrow, low volume foot, I ordered a 9N. The length was OK, but the width was more like a Medium and the toebox area was super large, causing my forward foot to move around too much. Lacing tightly is not recommended as that may have been a cause of some of my tendinitis. So, back they go.

Just an average sneaker, not worth the cost. Stitch or seam in front right sneaker irritated my little toe for some reason. Left side was fine.

I loved how this shoe fit and how it looked on my foot. However, when I walked my heel would come out of the shoe. It was like the heel in the back was too low. I wish it would have worked but I will have to go to the more expensive 928.

Hey girl, I get that model, or similar, whichever is cheaper, either in the white/gray, the white/pink, or the white/blue. Shoe Carnival always has, buy one get second half off. Therefore, I, always get two. As an amputee, they're the only style I can wear. Got my 2 pair, jumped right in the first, oouu, no can do?? I tried my best with prosthesis and metal shoe horn, but, absolutely no way. Tried on my real leg with real foot, lol! Man, was it hard. I got it on, alright, but, my toes were all jammed up?? Could I have gained that much weight on my feet?? I grabbed an dirty one from my old pair, fine? The got the same from box of my second new pair, great! Well, I checked every box, we width to no avail. Clearly, something is off with their production of some of the shoes. I wear an 8.

I am a nurse spend long days on my feet And 928 mesh is best fit only give 3 star due to lack of more color options. Feel like this style is geared towards seniors but I am younger and would appreciate some color in the mesh design

I have been buying the 928 for years and before that one that was similar but you have changed the shoe in the process. The back of the shoe use to go up farther on the heel of the foot. I don't care for this change. I will be looking for a different shoe.

I have foot problems and was told the higher product numbers were better for my feet. I wore the new shoes and stood for about an hour at a event. I could barely make it out to my car. The pain was awful. I have been wearing a model 409 and seem to do better. Not as much pain. Open to any suggestions!

I have serious feet problems and have depended on the roll bars. This one advertised that it did. My feet hurt something awful but after I swapped out the insoles, they are doable. For the money, I am disappointed. I had hoped for a different looking shoe but the same properties at the 928s I have ordered in the past.

I can comfortably walk and wear this style daily without pain. This time I have noticed a loose thread in this pair and that is why my rating is not five stars.

I wear a size 10 medium ladies shoe and bought the 928 in a 10 1/2 Med and I should have bought wide. I bought two pair and I am stuck with them, a black and a beige. I am very disappointed and out about $300.

I thought this product ran small. I ordered a size 8.5, which is typically what I wear, but it was very tight on my foot and caused pain. It seemed a little narrow in width. Perhaps a larger size might have been better. This shoe was recommended by my podiatrist as a great shoe for people with plantar fasciitis. It seemed very supportive, but I couldn't wear as it caused me pain due to the narrow width. Also, I would like to see this shoe available in Black color and perhaps I would order a larger size and try again.

I originally purchased a pair of the 928s in white nylon for summer and was very happy with them. Decided to order the navy suede for fall/winter. They are not as comfortable as the original pair I bought. I use heel inserts which help but cannot use them for long distance walking or treadmill at gym. I am hoping as I break them in they will be more comfortable.
