I have a narrow foot so I am limited in shoe variety. I have had three pairs of these and they are very comfortable. However, the soles will not last. The outer layer is glued to the shoe and has separated within a year. I wear the shoes only on smooth concrete surfaces, so they are not abused. I will not buy these again.

I love New Balance shoes but for some reason these run big. I ordered the same size as my others but they seem at least one size larger and wider. Not a good fit. I wish I had returned them.

Soft leather leaves room for foot movement, especially heal. Very little support. Definitely not a walking sneaker as advertised. Overpaid for a poor product!

I bought this product in my normal size, women's 12 but my toes were flush against the shoe toe. I returned them in exchange for a size 13 women's. These were just as short and were returned as well. Disappointing! I had never had this problem with New Balance before. I loved everything else about the shoe, style, colors, leather toes. Can this be evaluated please? As women are taller due to genetics and nutrition, larger feet, and shoes, are becoming more the norm. I believe that NB which has always made larger sizes available to women could really dominate in meeting this growing need. My great niece, age 10 wears a woman's 11.5 and she's not alone. Please consider this input as you plan for future NB growth. Thank you!

I have purchased many New Balance shoes in the past, always with a SL-2 last. This is the first time I have been so disappointed. The heel is definitely not narrow which causes my foot to slip every time I walk. Lacing the shoes differently has not made any improvement. I have never had this happen in the past so I am assuming the heel is not "slightly more narrow" in this model. Unfortunately, at the price of your products, I cannot afford to purchase a different shoe and will have to keep these for at least a year. I am very disappointed because this has never happened in the past.

I like New Balance model #W990GL4 which is no longer available. I have the replacement model W990Nv5 which is too high and hits my ankle. I was told by a rep. on the phone that this model #847v3 would be a good replacement for me. Wrong. I have a narrow heel and this shoe slides up and down in the heel as I walk.

Been purchasing same size for years. 9 1/2 way too big; more like a 10 1/2. Expensive loss.

Runs large. Materials are not up to snuff and the heel cup is kind of a sloppy fit. Great laces though.

Disappointed that could not find my choice, per headline above, I took a chance on the more expensive one, which I found I could not use because it pinches me on the upper right side of my right foot. Really sorry you apparently no longer offer my longtime favorite, per headline above. Wish I could return the pair I bought, above.

Shoe is a motion control shoe. Sole not rigid enough. Disappointed in that every time new balance updates 847 shoe gets worse ! 847 v1 was the best of the bunch ! V2 went backwards in over all quality and v3 also seem to have got even worse. Bring back V1 and I will buy.

I bought the 847v2 about 3 years ago at a New Balance store. The salesperson was exceptional at helping me find a pair of good walking shoes to help my painful foot problem. I am very active and an avid walker. Love to walk outdoors everyday. After seeing a foot doctor and finding out my feet roll inwards, I understand why these shoes were the only comfortable pair I could wear for more than a short time. The ROLLBAR technology! Plus the Azorb makes you feel like your walking on clouds. I recently had to get prescription orthotics and these shoes were still great because you can take out the foot bed and insert your orthotics with no problem. When my doctor recommended that I get a new pair since they were 3 years old, and I wore them all the time (I mean all the time!) and the material was starting to break down, adding to my knee pain, I went right to the website to order a new pair of 847v2. When I discovered they'd been replaced with a v3, I was skeptical, but I ordered them in my normal size 10 wide. However, since I purchased this v3, I have not been successful at finding a good fit. I am normally a Wide D width, which is what I had in the v2, so I ordered the v3 in a wide but it was too wide. My feet were moving all around in there. I even laced them up tight and I had the orthotics in them. I returned them and ordered a Normal B width. I just tried them on, but they are also too wiggly in the heel on my left foot only. I even tightened up the strings and laced them all the way up to the top holes and had the orthotics in. Not happy they changed this shoe. It is suppose to be the same shoe just with more Abzorb cushioning and was suppose to help with a loose heel problem. I never had a problem with v2 having a loose heel. It is SUCH a disappointment for me! I LOVE the mesh upper and LOVE the style. I was wanting to take walks again but now I have to continue to shop for another good walking shoe.

New Balance used to offer attractive shoes that also provided great support for feet and arches. Sometime in the past year or two, the company has shifted to only sell attractive shoes that provide very little support. I developed plantar fasciitis while I was wearing these attractive-but-unsupportive shoes. Almost all of the shoes that provided great support have been discontinued, except for the 2-3 that are still hanging around. The 847v3 is one of them. I'm not thrilled with how they look, but they do provide better support than the rest of the lineup. The best part of getting a new pair of New Balance shoes was how the shoes would hug your feet for the first month or so. These shoes don't do that. I usually wear a 6 1/2 in New Balance, but that size was way too large, and I had to exchange them for a 6. Even at a size 6, the shoes are a little loose, and I could comfortably go down to a size 5 1/2 -- but I've already put some mileage on these and can no longer return them. So be it. In summary, the quality has gone down, and the shoes are less attractive -- but the worst part is the price. I used to purchase supportive, cute shoes from New Balance for $60-70. These shoes cost twice as much, and I'm half as happy with them.

I've never had an issue with the fit. I wear narrow shoes and the 847v3 are definitely not narrow! The 843 were the best looking shoes you've ever made!

I was a big fan of the 847v2. I had 3 different pairs. Unfortunately the v3 is most definitely a step backward. This version is definitely stiffer and narrower than the previous version even for the same size. As comfortable as the V2 was, this version is equally as uncomfortable.

This style is so much wider and even a bit long. I purchase many shoes from New Balance and this is the first time that my normal size did not fit correctly.

The shoe had a hard spot that came through and rubbed my foot. It was located at the bottom of the N and was so hard that after wearing the shoe for about 10 minutes, I had a red spot that would have been rubbed raw, or blistered, if continued wearing. My previous 847 did not do that. I returned the next day.

This is one of the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever purchased. The bottoms of my feet hurt, the tops of my feet hurt, my lower legs hurt, and now one of my knees. Oh and by the way the laces are too short.

Very disappointed the interior liner wore out so soon. I don't even have 100 miles on these shoes. Must be poor quality. My other NB shoes have not had that problem. Will not buy this model again.
