Selected the wrong size as the second toe on my left foot touches the front of the shoe when I'm walking my two miles in the morning and it hurts. Couldn't walk in shoe inside the store as had to try on shoe outside the store due to virus and couldn't walk around.

Picture not a good representation of what the shoe would look like. If I had it to do over again, I wish I would have ordered the 990.

I've worn New Balance for many years, especially since they are among the few who sell athletic shoes in a narrow width. These are attractive, but this style fits rather oddly. The arch is a little behind its usual placement, and worst, from the standpoint of comfort, the hard upper edges are a trifle higher than normal and rub painfully against my anklebones. Had I tried them on in a store, I probably wouldn't have bought them.

I use it as a walking shoe. It's OK but I still have my original 847 and it was much more well made and comfortable right out of the box.

I use this shoe for everyday wear. Very nicely built shoe; but, after adding my orthotics to inside, the toe area did not fit me well. I have had more luck with an older model fitting me. That model is no longer available.

Overall the shoe was well designed except for the logo of the shoe rubbed my toe and it was very uncomfortable. Bought another type of New Balance and they were great. Would not recommend buying

This is my second purchase, I purchased the 877 2 years ago and LOVED them. Wanted to try something different this time, so I got these. So different in quality even though they cost more. They are not as roomy in the toe box and are stiff vinyl. I am sorry I switched. I did find a new company though and will be using them from now on. Bye bye New Balance!

I've worn New Balance shoes for many years, and they've always fit perfectly and worn very well. This pair, the right shoe is great, the left shoe is apparently running smaller, as there's not enough room in the toe. I've tried to "stretch" it by various means, but still no luck. Don't know what I'll do with them, too expensive not to wear, but not able to wear this way. Might try a shoe repairman to see if he can enlarge the toe area...

I wear these almost every day. I owned the previous 2 versions of this style and absolutely loved them. Bought this version because I've had good luck with it, but am not as happy as I was with the older versions. This version seems to fit well, but after wearing them for any length of time one foot becomes very sore; and after taking the shoes off, I have a hard time putting weight on that foot. I wear the last version (which I still have), and I do not have that problem. I bought a size bigger than I normally do because that has been my experience with this style, and it does fit fine. I'm not sure why the foot problem, and I'm still trying to figure that one out. I love New Balance and how sturdy they are, but I may have to look for another style if this continues.

The shoes fit fine for about 5 days. After that time, an inside seam began to hurt. Looks like the seams are not attached properly.

I returned the shoes because of a defective seam in the collar of the right shoe. I have not received a refund but would consider reordering the shoes when I do.

Although I have purchased wide width's from New Balance before, this one is definitely on the narrow side.

You have made the insole cheaper than the last ones. Could use one that lasts longer.

I have been wearing New Balance for decades, and especially like their models with wider/taller toe boxes, of which the 847 is one example. However, when they changed from the v2 to the v3, the upper structure of the shoe got much stiffer, and even with time doesn't soften up, so it almost feels a bit more like a shoe than a sneaker. The other minor complaint is that the top of the toe box on these wears much more quickly than the rest of the shoe. The fit, however, is perfect for me. In previous days, New Balance used to be more concerned about fit for its customers than about color. You used to be able to search for a shoe based on a specific "last" or the pattern used in structuring the fit of the shoe. I used to specify a specific last that I found fit well, and then their website would show those shoes that worked for me. Unless that information is deeply hidden somewhere, I can no longer find that.

Not as well made as the 847v2. It is kind of clunky and a bit stiff. Padding at the heel is a bit much. Hope the 847v4 goes back to the quality of the 847v2. And the original 847 was the best of the line. It gets five stars. The quality seems to go down with each version.

I wish you could count on the sizing of these shoes being as advertised FROM SHOE TO SHOE

I ordered my 3rd or 4th pair of this model on July 11, 2019 and I just started wearing them on July 27th, 2019. Unfortunately, this latest pair was a replacement for one that was purchased on April 29, 2019. I wear the shoes only a couple of hours per day and do not walk far. I called on July 3, 2019 to report that a chunk of one of the heels came off and I did not believe the shoe wore well considering the amount of time I wore them. I sent them back with an authorized return Master Card credit. Then I purchased the same pair on July 11, 2019. Except for the pair that wore out prematurely, I have liked the model. Although I prefer a jogging shoe for walking (for the cushioning) this walking shoe provides stability in the form of motion control. It's a little stiff unlike the jogging shoe but it is more affordable and I do like it.

The shoes are OK, but kind of pricey for just OK shoes. I really do like that they are mostly "leather" and that the N is same color as shoe. They probably offer more stability than the 877's I have worn, but are not as comfortable. What I want is a good, comfortable walking shoe. ALSO, I never purchase white or black shoes and this is mostly what New Balance is going to. Keep gray ones, please!

Shoe is the 6th one I've ordered in Narrow from NB and from other companies in the last 3 months trying to find shoe that fits my narrow foot. NB used to work for me but now is still too wide in the toe box. I am keeping these anyway as I need shoes.

My heel kept coming out of these shoes, no matter how I laced them. The other problem was the plastic like material at the toe bent in an odd way on one shoe and hurt the toes, the other shoe was fine. Shoe was also wider than my other New Balance shoes.
