I bought this boots 4 months ago and they are comfortable, I like everything about this boots the only downside on this boots are the soles they wear out right after 4 months. I feel that for the price they could off done a better job on the soles. That's disappointing because I have been buying different brands at the same quality and price and never had a problem with soles.

I owned the Payload, this was the most comfortable boots ever. The Helix sadly has a different antifatigue and is much harder compared to the payload. This boot NOT soft squishy like the payload :(

This is a good boot but the soles are not that good after a year and a half the rubber out sole started coming off plus it's too heavy even with the composite toe style

Comfortable boots but they didn’t even make it a year before they started falling apart.

While the boots are comfortable, and have mostly stood up to the wear of my work, there is one failure in my opinion:
The outsoles of the boots, that is the rubber on the bottom, have been slowly coming off over the past year and a half that I've owned them. The pad which these outsoles attach to looks as though its designed specifically so that they cannot be resoled by a cobbler, large blocky obstructions which make putting a new sole on difficult, though I haven't taken my pair to a cobbler yet.
I would like to see the outsoles available for purchase individually, or at least have some way of acquiring new ones when the current pair has been worn down.
I will not be purchasing a new pair of these boots, but I would very much like to keep wearing the pair I have. If I cannot find a way to repair and replace the soles, I will be looking to purchase from a different company.
I would not recommend these boots to a friend unless this issue is addressed.

Work in a refinery in Alaska so the boots go from wet summer to wet winter conditions a lot. Haven't used them in the snow or ice yet, but the pentagon pieces on the sole are already falling off. The rest of the sole is doing better than most boots I've had for 1 summer.

Purchased them about a year ago for outdoor chores. Within 6 months, the stitching connecting the top hook lace eyelets to the dark band around the top of the both boot pulled loose/broke away. The outside eyelet on the right boot and the inside on the left boot. I continue to use them, as they have good tread, some scuffing, can be laced enough to wear and cost over a hundred bucks at my local Coastal store.

Overall, a great boot. Not too heavy, but still does the job. Makes my feet a bit hot while wearing them.

I don't know where they get that these are anti fatigue. My boondocks were more comfortable than theses the heels on these things have no existing cushion. You'll swear that you are walking on concrete barefoot. I would not recommend them and it's only because of how awful the heels are. I plan on returning them under the 30 day comfort guarantee. I will be going back to the boondocks.

The Helix HD is a well made boot however isn't good for my trade. I'm a commercial flooring mechanic. I work long hours. These boots are a little too heavy and slow me down. I'm up and down on my knees all day in tough industrial settings. The boots don't move as well as I need them to. They are over 2 pounds. I'm sending mine back for a lighter style. Overall I really like Timberland. They have always served me well and have terrific customer service.

Loved these boots from day one. Ultra comfortable for the job I have being on my feet all day on the pavement. I've only had them for 3 months and the bottom of the soles are almost wore away. I would hope for a brand like Timberland that I'd get at least 1 full year of wear from a boot but that's not the case here. If you don't use these as work boots they may last, but if you put them to work you'll be disappointed like I am.

Bought these due to the immediate comfort. The felt great for about two months then they seemed to have lost the soft feeling. Along with that the out sole has completely separated from the midsole. The leather also has broken down and split with regular cleaning and protectant.

That are OK. I hate that they don't stay waterproof for very long. The sole always separates from the leather on the sides, then water comes on in. I always have problems with the insole's wearing out too. And those are getting expensive.

Boots took about a week to really break-in. I work in the railroad industry and you would think these would stand up to the constant walking on rock ballast. The orange sole pieces come off in about a week of use. The laces that come with the boot leave a lot to be desired. I had to buy another pair of laces which have only lasted a month because the metal eyelets on the boot chafe the laces when you tighten them. Do yourself a favor and find another boot company. This is the second pair of Timberland boots that I've owned and they don't stand up to the harsh conditions of the railroad industry.

The Lower sole falls/peels off after 6 months. With some glue I was able to make last a year but it has been a sad experience.

I’ve been wearing 11s in Keen work boots for the last couple years and figured I’d give these a try because my Keen’s waterproofing kept failing after about 6 months due to the chemicals I work with in our brewery.
The first pair of these in 11 were too small and the arch was too far back on my foot requiring me to order an 11.5 which worked withy arch but felt too large. I had to tie them as tight as I could to keep them from feeling sloppy. They were less than comfortable when standing on concrete all day and began leaking in less than 4 months even after applying Sno-Seal.
I’ve since bought rubber work boots for brewing and kegging and will go back to Keens on dry days in the brewery.
I'd also recommend:

I really like the look of these boots and no obvious quality issues after a few weeks of wear. That said, my heel is blistering because there is just no padding in that area. It isn't a slippage issue, it's just built poorly as far as I can tell. I dislike these boots fit wise as much as the hyper charge I had before, so I'm giving up on Timberland in the future.
Positives: they look nice, are waterproof so far, and seem sturdy.
Negatives: heel blisters without slippage, no locking eyelets at ankle, sole is really thick and seems heavier than others, fit just seems off (crouching down, the boots are short over the toes, so they fold into your feet.)
