This version does not fit the same on the heal as other versions. I returned the shoes.

I've looked continually for sneakers like I bought 5 years ago but none of them are properly wide and all of them really rub the back of the heal and creates blisters. Something has changed with New Balance if you want anything other than white

Seemed to fit smaller than the 1260 V6 I have. Also the color is darker than it appears on the website.

As Edith said when her husband passed, “there’s no Archy” in these shoes. Who makes a running shoe that has maximum cushion AND an excellent high arch?

The toe box is too shallow (not high enough from foot bed to lace), especially for larger sizes (like me - 15). It is like they took a size 8 shoe and made it longer and wider, but forgot that people's toes are also bigger. This is not a common problem for me. Also, most NB run a bit narrow.

I need a very large toe box. I ordered these in the same size as my current New Balance 1340's (ver 2) ... 13-4E, and which are nice and roomy. The toe box in this new pair of 1260s was entirely too small and tight. I had to return them. If you need a roomy toe box, this is not the shoe for you.

Made in the USA! Sad that I have to return it. I ordered an 8.5 2E wide, and it's cut so narrow in the toe area that it's a joke. I already order my New Balance shoes half a size larger than my size 8 feet, so this is really concerning that New Balance engineers don't seem to know how to size their shoes properly.

I was hoping that these were going to be the same as the 1260v6 (these are the best fitting shoes ever). I wear wide shoes and bought the 2E since this is what I wore with version 6. Unfortunately, the 2E is too small on the version 7.

I don't know what it is now but most of NB shoes never fit correctly. Length was good but toe box was tight. I ordered a 4E but looks like I would have to go to a 5E. Too tight to wear so this is as far as I can review.

I have purchased each version of 1260 about every 6 months when I wear them out. They have been phenomenal shoes. They changed V7 and it immediately hurt my feet, ankles, knees and hips. I put on my old V6 and the pain went away. I thought it might be a fluke so I tried to break them in. Dang near did major damage to my knee. I hope they go back to the old version. It'd be nice if they refunded my money, they ignored my email that I contacted customer support. I've purchased no less than 20 pair of shoes for myself and my wife and never a single complaint. My first complaint and they ignore me.

I have been buying these shoes for many years. I have a 2/3 orthotic which I have always worn above the inner sole. The shoe (same size as always) now appears to have been narrowed (it is a 2E). I have put a simple Dr. Scholl's thin inner sole in to replace the NB inner sole, and then add my orthotic. This allows it to fit my foot better. Perhaps next time I should get the 4E, although I wonder if that may be too wide. Sorry NB, but why would you change the fit of a classic shoe?

I like this shoe, but not sure if I love it. This NB sneaker runs NARROW. I had to get a wide in this one, and I still don't feel super happy wearing it. However, it does have excellent arch support and is very comfortable. I don't know about any other versions, but the 1260v7 is an excellent stability shoe but again, it runs very narrow. The length is okay, but I feel like NB is really changing for the worse. NB shoes are getting narrower, shorter, and less comfy.

When I first tried on this pair I thought I had found a great, comfortable shoe and was excited to go for a run. About 10-15 minutes in, the comfort wears off and I felt a tightness in my arches. I have tried it two other times on a run and it just doesn't last. It seems this is a better pair for casual or less intense activities. I would recommend you try it out well before making a decision to keep the pair.

I've been buying happily buying 1260 shoes for years. I find myself looking at other models and brands after the v7 refresh. While the support is still good, the top of the shoe and toe box seem much smaller than the 1260v6. They are at times tight. I've also found the tread to be wearing dramatically faster than previous versions.

I live in a remote location in Alaska and don't have the pleasure of trying shoes on prior to purchase. Over the years I've owned several 1260s. The V7s are entirely too tight where the tongue meets the toe of the shoe.

NB1260: I wore this shoe a few years ago, loved them so I bought another. These are no longer the same shoes. Way, way lower profile. Previous shoes had more side to side support and higher profile. These are ok, but not the 1260s I hoped to get. Tried the 940s, they were good also, but no longer made in my size (7-2E). Out of luck now. No more New Balance for me.

not sure where to start. the tongue does not stay for more than a min or 2. I Got the extra wide as i always do and 1 day with these gave me a blister on each foot the outside edge about where toes are. i could not use with the cheap insole it came with but even a good insole was not enough th help these much. my first time ordering on line sneakers and hard fail. I Love NB the only thing i've had for 20 years. hope they make up for this flop. reading other reviews is like i got some completely different sneaker as everyone else as i cant believe what others are saying.. I'm not a sugar coater but do give an honest review. the 2 insoles i got are great this sucks

These shoes feel true to size and look awesome! I really want to like this shoe, but my feet just really ache after wearing them. The do not have any arch support and I have a high arch...may have to try some inserts, but hate to have to spend more money on a shoe that is already expensive. Wish I would have returned them. They will probably end up in my closet or a hand me down to a relative. I do not recommend the shoe for people with a hight arch. Other than that, good luck, great looking shoe. Zappos question, if you read these; can these still be returned? Worn, little past the 30 days and don't have original box. Please advise... This is not a knock on New Balance or Zappos. This shoe just doesn't work for me.
I'd also recommend:

I found that the shoe has no softness in the heal. It is stiff a a board. Not a very comfortable run.

I've been a loyal NB 1260 customer since v4, but I'm very disappointed with this version 7. It seems to me that NB forgot the reason why their customers buy a "support"/ stability shoe! The upper of this shoe is so flimsy, it does not keep my feet correctly situated upon the soles of the shoes, no matter how tightly I tie them. All the advanced technology used to stabilize the stride of overpronators is rendered useless if your feet do not remain in the correct position within the shoe. The upper may as well be a single sheet of canvas, like the old school converse... no stability or support for the feet at all!!! Stability shoe buyers don't care about the weight of the shoes they buy. They need their shoes to provide the stability and support they need to prevent injuries!!! Now I'm at least a month behind in my training and fighting an ankle injury that I haven't had to deal with since I started buying stability shoes over 15 years ago!

When buying this shoe, I tried to order a narrow. Between what I clicked, and placing the order, the system invariably changed the "narrow to "B". Thinking maybe the shoe ran narrow, I ordered anyway. I could have put both feet in one shoe. I hope New Balance is not discontinuing the AA sizing, because I really need it.

I'll preface with that I've owned the following 1260s: V2, V5, and V6. The V6 was sloppy fit with the heel slip, and that has been corrected in V7 but the new V7 is now too small of a last (foot volume), and has less stability due to the T-beam being removed. Width feels narrow, and toe box is HORRIBLY shallow. Lot's of cushioning, however they may be too soft to offer long term stability? I returned 1260 v7 and instead picked up a pair of 860 V7.
