Shoes in this class usually feel a bit overbuilt to me...a lot of Cushion and a lot of Stability = a lot of shoe. Not any more, the 1260v7 destroys that perception. It is light, close to the foot, fits great and feels great once you get moving. The way this shoe runs I can even use it on faster days when in the past I might have worn a different shoe. Can't say enough about how comfortable this shoe is and how great my feet feel even after a long run.

Other reviewers have slammed the 1260V7, but I think that goes to show that **you** need to try the shoe for yourself. I've had other versions (V4 & V5) and skipped V6 because I had a bad experience with V5. That said, I love the V7 and it makes running effortless. I love the fit and feel. I will be purchasing another pair...or two, or three.

Recently got a pair of the M1260BB7 for the first time. Perfect amount of cushion in the forefoot and great amount of firmness in the heel. Has a really nice fit to it. Recommend this shoe if you want a light and supportive shoe.

I have the grey pair. They look so much better in person than online . I've had every version of the 1260 I use them for everyday use and for working out. They made changes, but I feel they are for the better. On the V5 I was a 4E and for V6 I was only a 2E. With the V7 I'm a 2E. They are a little more snug than the older versions. I prefer that right out of the box. After a week the older versions became sloppy in the toe area. These once broken in are perfect (everyone's preference is different when it comes to how snug you like your sneakers). I use to grip my toes when running or walking fast with the older versions when they got loose. So far I don't with these. I actually have less foot fatigue. The cushion in the soles hits on all points. I have an issue with pronating this gives me the support I need(like the other versions). They are lighter in material and shorter. I love it because they look more like running sneakers instead of cross trainers. When I put them on it felt like a slipper. They are also shorter on the sides they are below the ankle bone instead of on or above it. If you like the 1260 series you should like these even with the new design.

Came back to NB after a couple year absence, and I am extremely thrilled with the overall fit and finish of the v7. They are like walking/running on a cloud and fit like a glove. I really didn't realize what I was missing until I slipped these on my feet.

Fit is good and the overall width of the sole on the pavement is wider than my v5 of this shoe. Still a solid purchase and I keep coming back for the next version as my old ones wear out.

I ordered these in a 15 B and returned them and re-ordered a 14 B. I will keep the shoes. They have good cushioning. However, I had to put heel rubber adhesive aids on the inside top of the back of the shoe to keep my heel from lifting. The back of the shoes seems lower than, say, my 990s. I wish they made these in an A or 2AA. Nonetheless, I will keep them. The fact I wear 2 orthotics in both shoes may contribute but I do not have this challenge in my 990v5s.

This is only the second time I purchased the 1260 but I've been running in the 860 for years. This pair doesn't fit as true as my first 1260 or the previous 860s

Great support for flat feet. No complaints there. However, they were a bit tight in the toe box. I upgraded from the 860V5 which had more room in toe box, but reading reviews on the current 860, there are complaints of the shoe being tighter than previous versions.

I am used to Asics and since they keep changing the design of their shoes I have to search for ones that help my flat feet. Found these shoes and decided to try them. They have great support. Only wish I could get more choices on colors.

I've been wearing 860s for a while now and love their stability, especially for longer runs. But sometimes you just need a change so I opted for 1260s and stuck with New Balance. So far, all indications are good. Before I discovered New Balance, my knee ached after a run, even in stability shoes...the 860s and now the 1260s have solved that for me. The 1260s feel more responsive (the longest I've run in them so far is 6 miles). I now have a big decision to make... do I wear them for my marathon next month or stick with the 860s?

The shoes are true to size. I like the fit ,feel and colors. I have plantars fasciitis so I would love to see NB make them feel softer on the balls of my feet. I have to replace my shoes every 6 - 9 months.

The 1260v7 is yet another staple in the lineage that is a running stability shoe with a generous amount of lightweight cushioning. The previous models up to now have become noticeably lighter & softer, but don't let that fool you - the 1260v7 still packs a substantial amount of medial posting suport. If rigidity is what you think it's lacking, take the time to visit and NB retail location to try on other stiffer, more supportive models. Ie 940v3 or 1340v3.

Started running more seriously with the 1260v6, and had great results. Needed a new shoe, so, logically, bought the newer version. Salesperson says the v7 is more narrow than the previous version, but I haven't felt a negative difference. Have run about 5 times in these shoes already (3+ miles a time), and they feel great. The tongue moves outward a bit but nothing serious. Could be a result of my gait. I recommend these shoes.

Bought the Black and Thunder 1260 v7. This version seems smaller, narrow when compared to 1260 V6. Not much room for orthotics and less support or stability for pronation of foot. Still a good shoe but its not as good as the 1260V6.

I really love the 1260 style - so much so that I bought a men's size because they were sold out of my women's size. But these only come in Men's Narrow and Standard. Standard seems too tight. Hoping a half size up will fit better.

I've been buying NB shoes for 7 or 8 years due to their comfort and durability. The original version of this show is the best I've ever worn. The series 7 is much smaller in the toe and is narrower in the back of the shoe. The more I wear I keep thinking they will break in but they keep getting less and less comfortable.

While the footbed was narrow and fit perfectly, the profile of the shoe, i.e. the outside, was quite wide. I prefer a narrower shoe, both inside and outside. I guess the term 'stability' should have been a hint for me, but until I saw the show in person, it was hard to determine. The shoe fit very well and I would have kept it had it not been for the outside width of the shoe.

I ordered a 4E but The shoe was still to tight for my custom orthodic. I currently have the 840v4 I will order this one again it has a wider toe box.

I decided to try a different style. The 860 has been my go to shoe for a few years now, but thought I'd try a different stabilizing shoe. This shoe was visibly narrow when removing it from the box, but still optimistic I tried it on. It fit narrow as well. So, I have ordered my old stand by. Sticking with 860s.

I'm not sure what's going on at New Balance, but suddenly the 11EE's are running at least a half size too narrow. Might be time to switch brands.
