These shoes are really stylish and look great. They’re classic with a modern twist. I’m always a 6.5 in Frye but I had to return my first pair and get a 6 which fit much better. They’re stiff at first but end up being comfortable after wearing them around the house to break in. With all this being said, I AM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. I am a loyal Zappos and Frye customer. I own many pairs of Frye boots, some of which I’ve bought from Zappos and some of which I’ve bought from Frye. After wearing these boots for ONE DAY the sole is pealing off both of the toes. I understand soles aren’t invincible and I’ve had to have some of my boots resoled after multiple years which is completely fine. But seeing this much wear and tear after one single day of wearing these boots around town makes me question the quality of the producer and the seller. Maybe if I had purchased these directly from Frye I would not have experienced this problem. However I chose Zappos because of the quality and customer service I have always experienced here. Again these boots are beautiful but I’m so confused how one single day could’ve been enough to break these boots down so much.

Nice leather. Loved the zipper. Loved that the top of the boot fit my calf; often boots are too big around my calf. The charcoal seemed more brown than gray. There was no support or cushion and my feet would have been hurting by noon. No heel slippage for me as other reviewers reported. For the $, Frye needs to get current with support and cushion. Returning this boot.

Wow, Wow, Wowie. I haven't been this excited about a pair of boots in a long time. Of course Frye is the best - true to size and always fit me perfectly. But these...are so perfect with all jean styles (skinny to boyfriend) and dresses and come summer I will wear with shorts. Fit close to the lower calf without scraping when I walk. Comfortable, Beautiful, AND easy to get on and off, which is huge considering I couldn't manage the Chelsea styles. I love that the style works as western to modern.

These boots are great! They are structured looking, and the zip adds a great touch and a cool sound when you walk, like spurs! I own a pair of Frye chelsea boots with a leather sole that I love, but in the winter they can be slippery and I seem to need to get them resoled every year (yes I walk a lot). I will keep those of course because they are beautiful and will last a lifetime, but these will be a great addition to my Fall / Winter / Spring rotation and the rubber sole should grip better and last longer.

These are very comfortable. I just needed to get the right size. Started with an 8 and it was too tight in the toes, ordered an 8 1/2 and it is perfect. I can feel these will break in very nicely. And they are really cool looking.

Beautiful Boot & fits well. I purchased the off white 7 1/2. Comfortable.....Zipper works well.

Love these boots! They were very comfortable straight out of the box and I can walk in them all day, even with my mild plantar fasciitis. Highly recommend!

I read all the reviews and ordered my usual size 8 which is perfect. This is my third pair of Fryes and with all leather boots there a break in period but these are so unique and sexy. Love the metallic!

I wear 7.5 and that's what I purchased. They fit perfectly. I own 6 paIrs of Frye boots and these are the bomb! I bought these for a trip and I can not believe how comfortable they were with all the walking we did! I wore them to dressier events and to watch football. They made every outfit look perfect! I purchased the black metallic and they truly are a show stopper! The compliments are non stop and for good reason!

These boots are totally bada**. I love them. I have not worn them yet, mind you so I don't know how long they will take to break in, and I do expect a bit of a break in period, but that's normal with boots like Frye's. They are otherwise great looking boots and feel pretty good at first wear even with the relatively pointy toe. I was afraid they would pinch but were true to size. I consistently wear an 8.5 in Frye boots (although I often wear an 8 in many other shoes). If in doubt, I'd size up a half size unless you have narrow feet or shoes tend to run small on you.

Bought these boots in the black metallic finish & I love the way they look. Love the style- funky, but sophisticated & they fit great. I wear a B width, but have slightly narrow feet, so sometimes boots are too sloppy on my feet. I rarely find a shoe as comfortable as these .Also tried the white - which are really cool looking, but sending them back because I don't have the right outfits to wear with them.

I bought these boots in white. They are beyond! These are full-blown rockstar mode. Prepare yourself to fall in love. They are a gorgeous slightly off white (not stark white, not creamy white, more a of a putty white color), and they just are crazy cool. I wear a 7.5 normally in boots and that is what I bought and it fit perfectly.

Great boot for fall! What a great edgy style! Will look great with skinny jeans, straight leg pant and skirt with tights! Leather feels rich and buttery. I normally wear size 9 in Frye boots but with this boot I needed to size up to 9.5, mostly for more width. These fryes definitely run more narrow than other styles I’ve tried. I absolutely love my purchase and I even got them on a great sale ! Thanks Zappos!

THe fit and sizing of this boot felt great. I like the styling a lot, though for me it was a little too tall and seemed a bit clunky for wearing with dresses and skirts. My only other issue with the boot is that the zipper pulls are quite long and they clank with each step. Those two issues made them a return for me, but if you don't mind the accompaniment, and wore them with pants or leggins, they'd be great.

My wife has several pair of Frye boots. All 8.5, but this particular style is a bit snugger. A half size larger would have been perfect.

Super comfortable true to size

OMG what a gorgeous pair of boots! I love Frye and have 7 or 8 pairs of Frye boots, but these are my new favorites! I have small feet (6.5/7) and I love the fact that they actually make my feet look bigger for some reason. I also LOVE the look of the diagonal zipper. I got the green suede and the color is gorgeous. I just CAN'T WAIT to wear them! SO tempted to now buy the red ones...
