Customer Reviews New Balance Fresh Foam Vongo v2

I bought this shoes to help with heel pain. The cushioning is fantastic, as is the stability. I have worn prescription orthotics for years, but they are stiff and have slowly stretched out. They do fit in these shoes, but right now I am not using them. I might purchase a set of Spenco or Power step innersoles to increase the arch support.

I love these shoes. I usually wear more expensive New Balance because I am rough on shoes and need all the sturdiness I can get. However, my husband asked if I could please try some of the more affordable New Balance. I did try some of the most affordable ones and found them too flimsy. This, however, will be my new shoe. It is not as bulky looking as my normal wide New Balance. The arch support is great. There is plenty of room in the toe box, but I don't feel as though my foot is going to slip around as it would in too wide a shoe. I look forward to taking a nice long walk in them later today.

I read the good reviews of these running shoes, so I ordered them, and even though I'm generally a big fan of any shoe with a foam innersole, I found these very hard and uncomfortable and they seemed to put pressure on the joints at the base of my toes, the area where I need the most give. These are going back.

Yahoo! After many tries with New Balance, found one that fits lengthwise and is just wide enough. Thank goodness for Zappos great customer service!

I switched to version 1 of this shoe after years of running with Brooks Pure Cadence. After my first pair wore out, I considered a return to Pure Cadence version 6 (Brooks listened to customer complaints about version 5). By then, NB had released version 2 of this shoe. However, Vongo v2 remained the better choice for fit, support, and comfort. NB shoes can seem pricey but why scrimp if you run regularly and you want a reliable shoe? I run 10K's regularly and Vongo v2 is a very dependable, comfortable shoe for that race distance, and all the training miles between races.

A cute very cushy shoe. I just could not get the size quite right. I order Wide in athletic shoes and the width felt right, however two half sizes over my street size did not allow me enough room for my smaller toes after my foot came forward a bit in the shoe. My feet are deformed with the bunions and the resultant pointing outward of my toes, so this was my problem. If my feet were straight I think I would have been okay with the size I ordered. Lots of cushioning and I was looking forward to walks on all this cushion! I just lost patience and confidence that I could make this shoe work size-wise and would have liked to have had this shoe with the proper fit. I also liked the material that composes the upper shoe, soft and comfortable.

Ordered this in white - fit really well. Ordered this in black and the toe box is really small height wise - rubs on my toes. Very disappointed!

I've worn New Balance running shoes for 40 years, my orthotics fit nicely in the wide size and the overall comfort is good. I'd been having trouble with my knee and getting new shoes helped more than I'd expected. Am going to order another pair.

I love it this shoes, I looking comfortable sneakers because my podiatrist tell me looking for new balance sneaker is the best for walking and stay to long standing, I think I find the best for my feet

I've had these about a week, and so find them very comfortable. I have fallen arches and a wide toe spread, and I find the New Balance brand usually has a nice wide toe-box. I do buy the wide style to accommodate my toes, and then lace through the farthest holes and cinch the laces tighter around my ankle to keep them from slipping up and down. The shoe fits my custom arch-support orthotic, and I have not had any pain while walking. I like the bright, cheery color.

I love these shoes. I have short, wide feet, and my foot doctor told me years ago (after bunion surgery) to stick with New Balance. Needed some new ones as my old favorites were getting worn out. These are great - fit very well (D-Wide), room in toe box, no tired feet at end of long walks. Added bonus: the poisonberry is a gorgeous color :)

I have problem feet - flat and wide so it is difficult to find a shoe that is comfortable and supportive. Not only does the Vongo v2 fit those requirements, they're really cute! I bought the poisonberry and I really love the color. Note: I usually wear a 7 wide in women's shoes but wear a 7.5 Wide in New Balance.

They run a little big in my opinion

Love these shoes. They have great cushioning and just the right support. Switching to these from the Saucony Rides as the heel on those is too short and slips. Very happy with this shoe for road running.

Best sneakers I’ve had so far. I wear a 10 1/2 wide and these felt true to size. Toe box is roomy. Arch support is good. Very breathable too.

I love this shoe! It’s not often that a pair of sneakers comes out of the box and are immediately comfortable! The toe box is a little wide but that seems to be a theme with new balance. It doesn’t bother me but it may be bothersome for others. I’ve worn this shoe to the gym, around town, and through a 10 hour shift (I’m a nurse). Great shoe! Highly recommend!

My feet loves these sneakers. They keep my turf toe stable and I can get thru my day with little or no pain.

I really like the New Balance Vongo v2. I bought them as a replacement for my worn out Hoke One One Stinson 3. The newer version of the Stinson was too wide in the toe box for me so I needed to find a new heavily padded shoe with good arch support. I tried several (thank-you Zappos!) and found the Vongo worked well for me. It does run a little small as I am usually a 9 but I needed a 9.5 in the Vongo. The shoe fits well through the toe box -- not too wide and not too tight, and provides cushioned support. I plan on using this shoe for long walk and sightseeing for travel.
