Over the years I've purchased probably 6 pairs of these penny loafers. I like them because of the classic looks (no weird heel or toe profile). I usually wear an 8 1/2 M, but order the 9W. I think they do run a bit snug. Zappos is amazing, ordered at 6:30am on a thursday, and just got them at 12:45pm friday.

These are some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned! Worth every penny (including the ones in these penny loafers)! I ordered three sizes because I wasn't sure (11 M, 11 W, 10 W) and went with the 10 Wide. This size is big enough to wear socks without being too tight and small enough to wear them without socks and not slip off my heels. I ordered them in the cognac and now considering the black in tumbled leather or eggplant. Love these shoes!

I so badly wanted these shoes to work out. I love the style and the wooden heal with the black leather--perfection!!! However, I'm an 8 wide and they pinched way too much. I think Bass runs narrow in general so the wide wasn't enough for me. Totally bummed out!

I did not receive the soft tumbled leather that I requested. These are stiff and going back.

These are beautiful, comfortable shoes but they seem to run large. I am returning my size 8 to try the 7.5.

These are stiffer than the other colored weejuns and a slightly different style also, they go up higher on the sides, hitting my ankle bone. They also run bigger, cute if you are looking for the shinny yuppie look. Returning for cognac.

I ordered theses in my normal size 7 1/2 and I did not have any width issues as other reviews stated to go to a wide. I am returning and getting smooth black instead, the tumbled leather reminds me of the old folks movie "Cocoon" hehe.

These are comfortable but I am returning them. Listened to reviews and sized up to a wide width and I didn't have to. Also decided to get them in all black smooth leather.

Classic, pretty loafer. I love the cognac color and the leather had a nice feel, but I had a bit of a struggle to get them on. I’ve always been a solid medium width, but these were just too narrow for my feet. Disappointed they have to go back.

I love these shoes. They feel like butter and have great arch support. I have been having foot problems and these immediately felt fabulous on my feet. They are a tad narrow but were not troublesome for me. You might need a shoe horn to get them on the first time but they give and conform to your feet. I wish I could order them in every color. Zapops recommended a 6.5 for me even thought I typically wear a 6. I ordered both and the 6 was good. I would not order up in size but order up in width if necessary.

Nicely constructed except the foam insole is glued in place. The medium width is fairly wide at the back. It fell off my feet, as I have narrower heels. No extra room in the toe box, so sizing down isn't an option.

Very comfortable, high quality shoe. I bought the Mustard and Nude. They do run a little narrow, my feet are skinny and they fit me very well. I wear with no socks and capris this summer and fall. Plan to wear with socks in winter.

I have loved these since high school, and these replaced an old pair that were chewed up in storage. I took these out of the box and wore them all day at work - immediately comfortable and zero break in time needed. Weejuns always make me smile.

Disappointed -- size 10 is too small and size 11 is huge. I don't understand why shoe manufacturers don't make size 10.5.

Super cute and comfortable. I bought the mustard yellow first, never had brightly colored shoes before. They look smashing with blue or green capris, with no socks. Then I bought the beige and teal. I plan to wear in the winter too, with socks. They must run a little narrow, because I have a skinny, narrow foot, so they are perfect for me. I went half a size up so my toes wouldnt be cramped, because they are a little pointier than my minamalist shoes. The leather is buttery soft and stretches some aftrer wearing. I like the leather sole, good for "grounding", which some say is healthy.

I like that these are a classic that is a current wardrobe refresh piece for fall. They feel polished with a pair of rolled slim jeans and a fall shirt for sweater--late 50s/early 60s meets 80s meets now. They are very narrow and can be difficult to put on at first. A shoe horn would be a good idea till the leather breaks in (which it will) AND going up the half a size (if you are between two sizes) for the best fit. Once on they feel nice and supportive with a comfortable insole-- a solid shoe for a walking, city lifestyle. Again, they feel like proper shoes and a great piece for fall. I hope more autumnal colors come back into stock soon!

Love the shoe but too narrow. Had to return

I have bunionettes, narrow heels, and have been looking for a long time for a shoe that did not put pressure on the bunionette. These shoes are amazing straight out of the box. The leather is soft and supple and there is just enough stretch in all of the right places. I am now a very big fan of these shoes.

I *love* these shoes. These are my first Weejuns, but certainly not my last. I originally ordered the blush, but they were too brownish (anyone else remember "dusty rose"?) so I sent them back and exchanged them for the tan. They are so very comfortable and supportive for a loafer. They fit perfectly to size and width for me and the arch support is great. I've had multiple knee surgeries and comfortable and supportive shoes are a must. I am able to wear them to work and errands afterwards. I love these and will get some in other colors.

Runs small - had to order a 1/2 size up from normal, and the heel cuts into my ankle. However, these are sooo cute (I purchased the teal color), and the leather is very soft (they should easily wear in quickly), so I'm definitely keeping them.

Super cute, but I had to return them because I have a very high arch. I'm sad because I haven't had any "true" weejies since high school.

Favorite shoes for 30+ years! I have been buying black Bass Weejuns for over 30 years and have never been disappointed. Black loafers are the most versatile shoes ever (...and I have over 50 pairs of shoes at any one time.) You can dress them up or down, wear them with shorts, and they look really great with ankle jeans or any skinny jean you have. Specifically, Weejuns are superb. Good quality leather that you can beat up and then get looking good again with a decent polish. The old pair I have (before this new purchase) still have great-looking uppers despite the abuse I put them through, though I did wear holes in both soles during the years I had them. Weejuns soles are leather, so they are slippery on ice. Be careful. But this is my only caution on these shoes. // don't forget that these are good quality leather and as such will feel a bit tight when you first put them on. The leather will stretch a bit and relax after you wear them few times and they'll be great friends for years to come.

These shoes are the most comfortable shoes I own, and I have the worst time finding comfortable shoes. The leather is so soft that they do not give me blisters as most summer shoes do. I use them for walking shoes instead of sneakers. I have them in three colors and am about to buy more.
