A beautiful shoe BUT such a tight toe box!

I have plantar fasciitis and my feet need a lot of support. I put these on and they were tight and hurt my feet after a few minutes of wearing. I'm so sad because they are so cute!

Good quality

These are so comfortable, I am able to wear them for my whole flight without having to change in to different shoes. The insoles did stain the bottoms of my nylons black. I’ve worn them for 5 months now, and the insoles are still slightly dying new nylons that I buy. Very frustrating.

These shoes are very cute and I was disappointed that I couldn't keep them, but they were a tad short and had an inadequate arch for me.

Actually didn't even try them one. I didn't like that the toe of the shoe was darker than the rest of the shoe.

I normally wear an 11.5 wide in New Balance and a 12 in most other shoes. With this one, I ordered an 11.5/12 wide size (largest available). They hurt my toes. I think they're a European size 42, and with Danskos, I really need a 43. I've already worn them, thinking I could "break them in" but they're not going to work.

The shoe was sturdy and cute but way too big. Afraid a smaller size will be too narrow though.

Only has whole sizes, so the shoe was either too small or too large for me.

Dumpy looking shoe.

I really wanted this shoe to work, because it is hard to find a Mary Jane that is not overly sporty or frumpy. This is a great looking shoe, the leather feels like a nice quality, and they and would look so cute with so many outfits. However, I have a double foot problem: my high arches require that I wear a custom orthotic, but I also have arthritis in my metatarsal joints due to said high arches. This shoe does have a removable insole to allow for custom orthotics, and the toe box is nice and roomy. BUT, once you remove the insole you will find the hardest sole imaginable—ZERO impact absorption in the sole itself. Seriously, you might as well be standing barefoot on a concrete floor. I tried them out in my house for several hours with my orthotics and a supplemental foam cushion, but these have to go back.

I liked the shoes and they seem like they might be comfortable if I could get them 1/2 size smaller. I got 6.5-7 size but did not try the 5.5-6 as there is no way I am size 6.

I normally wear an 11 W, but this 10.5-11 was more like a B width.

smaller and more narrow then expected

The toe box was too shallow so the shoe pressed down painfully on my big toes. They felt about a half-size too small in length, and slightly narrower than a medium. I have narrowish feet, so the width wasn't a problem. I know these work for a lot of people, and they are pretty cute for a comfort shoe. But if you have toes/toenails that naturally curve up, these may not work for you.

I love these shoes, but I have worn the black shoes 3-4+ times a week for a year and the velcro is not working well anymore.

I wear a 7.5, and ordered a 38, as suggested by site, but the shoes were too big and slipped on my heel. Plus, I didn't like the overall design.

I have been wearing the Fawna in brown for a couple years and they're great! I bought them in black recently, but they don't fit the same. The footbed is fine, it's the velcro strap that seems shorter... the velcro closure doesn't reach all the way, leaving a 1/4 inch strip of velcro hooks to catch on my pants or anything else nearby. Gotta send these back, unfortunately.

Lovely shoe, but Dansko’s size chart says a 42 will fit women’s size 11.5 to 12. It does not. I am size 12 and the 42 was too small. Back it went.

These are really beautiful shoes, and I wish I could've kept them. However, the toe box was much too short (vertically), so the tops of the shoes were squeezing down on my toes and I think a size up would've been too wide on the heel. I would not recommend these shoes if you have narrow heels.

These shoes were more stylish than most mary janes. I'm usually a 5.5 but the 36 was too big. I went down to a 35W which fit well. But I returned the shoe because I found the craftmanship lacking - the top seam of the shoe (where the two pieces of leather meet) was rubbed and irritated the top of my foot. For the price of these shoes, I expected better. I did not have that problem with SAS mary janes, which are made from one piece of leather. Also, the toe vamp just barely covered my bunion - it was right on the verge of cutting into it.

Very comfortable but dorky style. Always looking for work shoes that I can wear with dresses, I kept Dansko Marcelle clogs instead.

This was my first pair of Danskos. I'm a teacher, so on my feet minimum 4.5 hrs per day at work. I have several problems in one foot including posterior tibial tendonitis, mild neuroma pain from time to time, and sharp arch pain. I usually wear Clarks with a variety of insoles. I'd never found a pair of shoes that could help my pain until I tried these. After I tried them on, I couldn't wait to go to work just so I could wear my uber-comfy work shoes. They literally removed all my foot pain. Beyond that, they were cute, a good fit, and the strap with adjustable velcro fastening had a strong hold and allowed me to tighten up my shoe as much as I wanted. Seemed to be good quality. However, after about 3 weeks of wearing them to work, I began to notice terrible aching pains in my knees - pain that I hadn't previously experienced. It took me a while, but I've been able to connect it to wearing these shoes. Searching around the Internet, I realize this problem isn't unique to me. The NIH has even published a study about how clogs can increase joint loading on the knees causing pain for people with knee arthritis (which I didn't even realize I had...). So, I'm no longer wearing these. To sum up, these are great shoes if your knees can take it. However, if you deal with knee pain, you might want to consider a different shoe.
