I found the arch to be Too High and higher than moderate.

I wear an 8.5 US and initially ordered a size 39 (8.5-9 US); they were too loose. I reordered a size 38 (7,5-8 US) and they fit perfectly. They are very comfortable.

These are cute shoes as comfort shoes go. The fit was very good, could use more arch support. I did return, but only because while the description says there is the hook with elastic strap, in many other shoes I have had of this style, the hook is for adjusting only, this one must be opened to get the shoe on and off. I wanted a slip on.

When I first tried these on they almost seemed too narrow. Part of it is that the toe bed is fairly wide but near the arch it is not as wide. After walking around a minute or two though they felt comfortable enough to wear. I wore them for the next 8 hours without any issues. The leather is very supple and that helps with the overall movement. Decent arch support. The shoe design and height make for easy walking and movement.

It’s a very nice looking shoe while being very comfortable. There is a tiny bit where it doesn’t quite fit perfectly which is why it’s just a 4/5 for me.

I am returning this shoe because my toes felt cramped, as in my size, (11.5, 42) it was too narrow across the ball of the foot. Surprisingly the heel did not slip, although I'd have liked it a bit narrower. Overall a very comfortable shoe, but the toe thing...felt cramped.

This is a beautiful shoe, but it isn't working for me. I have a high arch and need padding under the ball of my foot because of metatarsal pain. From the reviews I read originally, I got the impression this shoe was cushioned, but if it was, it wasn't enough for me. And since I could really use a shoe with an excellent arch support, this one with moderate support wasn't sufficient. In addition, the shoe seemed a bit short. I am a firm 8 1/2 and that is what I ordered. But my big toe seemed to hit the end of the shoe just a bit too much. If I kept the shoes, I imagine I could stretch them to accommodate that problem. But with the lack of cushioning, I decided to send them back and try another shoe. I do want to stress again, however, that this is a beautiful shoe and appears very well made.

I want to love this shoe because it's really comfortable I wanted to try Dansko, but not the usual clog. I like that this shoe has a little "style." The color is not what I thought, though. The Velcro tab on the side is also pointless. It will not make the shoe tighter, if need be. That is the reason for 3 stars. When trying with different socks, I need to be able to adjust the fit a little since I wear a mid weight sock in winter, but want to be able to wear thinner in summer.

Sizing just didn't work. I needed a 9.5 and the sizing of 8.5-9 vs. 9.5-10 didn't work for me. The heel was somewhat narrow too. Felt a little wiggly when walking. Not solid. Sadly, returning them.

I selected these because I'm desperate for a dressy black leather shoe I can wear with pants (like a loafer) in situations where I think Dansko clogs or Blundstone boots may not be acceptable, or when the weather's too hot. My feet are wide, especially across the toes, and very sensitive. I have nerve damage from trying to wear ordinary last and taper-toe shoes in my twenties. My typical size is a 39. I got these in a 8.5 Wide. They are too long and too narrow, and also not attractive. I still have some long-ago Dansko options (boots) that I still use. They are not even Wide size; but the foot bed is generous and supportive, and the style is classy (eg low stacked or shaped heel), so they work with some polish and TLC. Sure wish Dansko or *any other* company would create functional, chic, operative shoes for the huge wide-foot market out here.

This shoe was great looking and I kept my fingers crossed that they would fit. They were way too big, so I had to return them. The size is a European one; my suggestion is to order 1 European size down from what the size equivalents state.

I liked the style but heel area is too wide.

The shoes that I received looked as if they have been used. The black leather is very delicate and I can see that it is easily damaged. They are scuffed in multiple places on the outside. There is a sticky spot on each insole as if there had been a small round sticker there. I will return it and might order a new pair.

The heel is not as padded, nor as comfortable as similar shoes from Clarke's.

These ran true to size and were comfortable but I didn't like the style when it was on my feet. Just because I'm a grandma doesn't mean I want to look like one. I will be returning these.

I've purchased this exact style before so I ordered the same size.. TOO BIG!

Overall too small

I ordered a 7W and this was too narrow. I returned them.

I liked the look of the shoe and it was wide enough in the front to not hurt my bunions, but unfortunately the heel was too wide and the shoes slipped off so I have to return them.

I feel like I can almost walk right out of these. The heel slips. I have many pairs of Dansko in a 37 but this fit is not right. I do like the look of the shoe but they are going back.

The toe box was comfortable (I ordered a wide) but the ankle was way too loose.

Shoe felt too big, heel slipping out. Material at the side of ankle would dig in if I ordered a smaller size.

These are darling and I really wanted to keep them but they feel too snug. They would have worked with stockings but I wear socks.

Had to send it back, as it was too large.
