Really comfortable, horrible quality. The shoe fell apart less than 30 days of use; the sole is separating from the shoe on both pairs . Altra shoes simply do not hold up. This is my second pair and they are not worth the money they charge for the substandard product

Regarding size, it runs about 1/2 size small by OLD shoes, but since newer running shoes have changed so much (for the worse) in the past few years, it runs true to size by modern running shoes. This is my first pair of Altra. I wore Asics for about 2 DECADES, until they changed and I used to wear 12 4e in ALL Asics, but now a 12.5 4e in Asics is smaller than my old size 12. I like any and all of my old Asics better than these Altra Torin, but I like these Altra Torin 3.0 MUCH better than any Asics. I ordered the Nimbus 20 and these Torin 3, and kept the Altra, and sent the Nimbus back! These look much better too! Very cool shoe! I am leaving 5 stars, but I do have a small complaint in that the toe box is a bit short (speaking about height, not width) and my heel slips up and down a bit.

Absolutely like every aspect of this shoe, except that there is a lot of movement in my heel, therefore they were regretfully returned. This shoe keeps the heel secure better than the Escalante model, but still too much movement.

Love the wide toe box and zero drop. So comfortable for both running and walking!

This is my first pair of Altras and they're one of the most comfortable pair of running shoes I've ever owned. I like them so much that I ordered a second pair. As always, the customer service and next day shipping at Zappos is the best! Thanks!

This is my second pair of Altra Torin. I really like the roomy toe-box, something I've required of all my running shoes. Cushioning is excellent especially in the forefoot where I land. The soft cushioning does limit the shoe's useful mileage. I was just over 500 on my first pair and my knees and back were telling me that was about 100 miles beyond where they should've gone! (see pic) The shoe feels a bit tight around the upper part of my foot, but perhaps once I get more mileage on them they'll stretch out - the previous pair was fine and they look identical in size and proportion.

I love these shoes. Will never buy another brand of tennis shoes again if I can help it. Want to try the hiking shoes next!

These shoes are consistently great! My husband has been wearing them for 4 years. He usually buys about 4 pairs per year. His foot is not considered wide but with running he finds these so much more comfortable with the wide run footbed. In these he goes up a 1/2 size compared ASICS.

Bought these shoes because I am running more on roads and had been experiencing foot and heel pain. Was looking for something with more stack in the sole. Have 30 miles on the shoes now and the foot pain is gone, while I’ve been able to increase my miles. Sole has more cushion without being spongy. I have a medium width foot and am a neutral runner. The wide front foot bed is nice. I thought I might slip around in it but I don’t. Great shoe.

I love these shoes so much but the pair I just bought from you is 1/4 inch smaller in the toe then the other pair I bought so it feels to tight.

Absolutely love these shoes!! My orthotics fit easily in these, and I love the wide toe box! It is the perfect shoe for me.

These are very comfortable shoes. I'm a female in men's shoes. I had foot surgery and these have a wide toe box, so very helpful. They are not waterproof, so your feet will get wet if worn in the rain.

Nice Shoe, was wide enough in the toe box but the rest of the shoe to thin for my foot. I opened the laces up as far as I could but then there was no string to tie the shoes. Had to send them back.

A comfortable and well made road shoe. The stack is great for comfort and support during long runs. The zero drop and wide toe box are made to promote a midfoot/forefoot strike, and a more natural running gait. I'm closing in on 300 miles and they are still in great shape! Highly recommend to anyone looking to tack on a lot of road miles and looking to do so in comfort.

I'm a female buying men's shoes because Altra doesn't make a women's 11.5. Bought these because the new Torin 3.5 is IMHO a pretty ugly shoe, so wanted to go back to the less bad-looking Torin 3.0. I also am not a fan of the interior lacing set up of the 3.5. I gave the men's 10.0 (44) a try. It's a tad wide in the heel like most men's shoes are for me, but is a better length than the 12. And my toes will take the extra width in the forefoot. They look as cheaply made as the 2.0s I'm replacing, but for now I'm sticking with Altra because of their foot shaped shoes. And here's a plug: ALTRA, you REALLY NEED TO MAKE A WOMEN'S 11.5 (44).

This model gives more toe room than the Altra Provision, but is also very awkward-looking (very prominent webbed look). I have tried 4 different Altra shoes (1 women's and 3 men's styles) and they all seem to run smaller--possibly even up to 1 1/2 sizes smaller, than other brands. This shoe has moderate arch support, as opposed to the Altra Provision which seems to have more arch support. Very soft, rubber, built-in padding on the insole gives extra cushioning. Altra does not create a 4E width so I'm not sure Altra will work for me, because of my extreme bunions, but the concept of the splayed toes does seem to give extra room and might work for some "bunioneers."

Felt much smaller than size marked both in width and length. For someone with a wide foot, these are oddly sized because the toebox is wide but the rest of the shoe is strangely narrow. When I first opened them, I thought they accidentally sent kids shoes rather than adult sizes (I was wrong, but that gives you an idea of sizing). Style is minimalist but cool looking. Concept of a normal toebox is great.

This is second pair ordered in less than two weeks. Same size 10.5 but uncomfortably tighter in heel area than other pair. Also, of note, Zappo recommended size of 8.5 estimate inaccurate though I wear orthotics that sometimes increase sizing by 1/2 size.

Been wearing ASICS for year having a wide foot. Bought this shoe thinking it would work for wide food. Toe area is fine, foot-lace area is narrow. Had to return and going to try Hoka's next.
