DID NOT FIT well. I have the escalante's and they fit like a sock. These hurt my feet.

I have yet to see an Altra shoe that has quality matching the price. At first I thought it was the Altra Instincts that were the problem. But it turns out Torins are also poorly manufactured. Despite the fact that Altra claims their shoes last from 300-500 miles, the upper material on both shoes tore after only 185 miles. This is consistent with every other pair of Altras I've owned (this is my 6th pair) in which the upper tears from front to back on the side of the foot. I always thought it was something I did that caused the uppers to tear. But I only ever took this pair out on roads for 2-6 easy miles per run every second or third day. It's incredibly disappointing that Altra can't use upper material that would last for at least 2/3 of the low end of their mileage estimate. I would not recommend buying these Torins or any other Altra shoe. I made the mistake of thinking a different pair of Altras would be better, but 2 pairs of Instincts, 3 pairs of Torins, and 1 pair of Lone Peaks later, Altra has proven to use poor quality material in their expensive shoes.
