Bought this shoe primarily for hiking and around town walking. I like the comfort of the increased toe box. Tight fabric weave does not allow dust and dirt to filter through. However, I normally wear a size 13 but had to size up one. definitely not true to size. Also the zero lift (no heal lift) takes some getting used to. Take it slow and do some stretches to avoid shin splints and achilles stress. The first pair of size 14s showed a defect after two weeks of wear. Something in the heal of the right shoe began to deform bunching the fabric inside the heal - a potential blister problem. Sending the pair back now and ordered another which I hope doesn't have the same issue. Over all a good shoe right out of the box if not defective. Can't speak to durability yet.

If you're commenting and down talking this shoe because of sizing then you need to work on your letting go of your attachment to a size number and try them on at a store and buy your first pair there. This shoe will help you gain more foot strength. People want the shoe to run for them and heal their pain. I work at run specialty and this gets me every time. Learn how to work out your feet and lower extremities just like your upper.
The foot shaped toe box allows you to splay more upon landing. Idk about you but I splay my hands when I do push-ups. The features in this shoe company surpass the others. Google footbinding. It seems most company's want to restrict your feet to desensitize your foot reflexology. Altra will awaken those sleepy feet. Salutations.

I bought these shoes after having problems with ingrown toenails that developed during a particularly intense set of hikes. I noticed that Altras were one of the more popular shoe brands used by thru-hikers, and decided to give them a try. The toebox and width are perfect, and have saved my feet over the past 6 months of use. These shoes maximize support and comfort without compromising function.

My son, an ultra runner and Altra die-hard, told me I MUST try these shoes. I did and I'm now a true believer. The shoes are sturdy, comfortable, and reliable. They are the best running shoe I have ever owned.

I ran 700 miles in the previous style. I only retired them because of the smell and I have the neoshells for the snow and cold.
They lasted two years, mainly used for training runs. Get the king mt for racing.

Great shoe, Altra really heard customers complaints about the LPs 3.5 running a bit more narrow than its predecessors, so I feel that they went back and adjusted that issue in later productions of this same model. I think these should be called 3.5-2. First pair I got of LP’s 3.5 was way narrower than this fresh pair!

The traction, zero drop and toe box made for a very comfortable, stable and reliable foot plant. Instead of feeling like I may slip or toe poke, each and every step was confident. It almost felt like I could run trails without thinking about my steps 'hands free'. As the miles progressed I came to realize how pleasant it was to have the properly shaped toe box which allowed my toes to naturally spread and create great stability. Good work Altra.

The shoes are the best footwear I have ever owned, period! When laced up tightly, they fit like second skin! I wore these bad boys on a 3 day/2 night trip to Broken Top in the Three Sisters Wilderness in central Oregon, having only tried them on a 9 mile day hike... No hot spots, no slipping, no rubbing, no blisters- even after walking through numerous snow fields and dunking one foot on a river crossing!! I'm so impressed that Ima score a second pair to stash for whenever these cash out!!

I've been using my LP3.5 for 1 month now. I am new to zero drop , my feet are very wide and high arch. I decided on Altra LP due to overwhelming positive YT reviews by hikers and backpackers.
They took me a week to get used to... a bit of break-in on mid-foot tightness, I'm accustomed to wider platten for stability. Once I dialed in I love them... super light, dry fast when they get wet, I love the way they cup my heel, my toes LOVE all the room.
My first pair was too small... normally wear 10.5 EEE, ordered 10.5 W... no problem with Amazon Prime, sent them back and got 11.0 Wide, gave me a bit more room for swollen feet after a long hike.

Bought these for my husband. He normally wears size 8.5. The reviews stated the shoe ran small so I ordered 8.5 and a size 9. Going to keep the larger size. He is pleased with the look, fit and feel of the shoe.

Great sneaker for hiking and trail running. Excellent tread! Felt a bit small at first but after a few hours walking around the house they “broke in” and now feel great.

Shoe runs slightly short, but has great cushion and rarely causes blisters. Overall, the Lone Peak feels soft and forgiving when the terrain gets rough. The heel cup is more compliant than most trail runners.
I love the shoe, but wish Altra made a narrow version for distance hikers who enjoy the comfort, but have too low of volume of feet. I have stacked insoles, used thick socks, and still have issues with the upper not being snug enough. Please, please make a narrow version!

I use my Lone peaks for ultralight backpacking and they are amazing shoes. They are very comfortable, light and they dry fast. The traction is great, i never slipped on the rocks in the White Mountain National Forest when other people were slipping. Also the wide toe box is great. I would highly suggest these shoes and i will continue to buy theses shoes when ever i need a new pair.

I just finished my 5th run in my Lone Peaks 3.5's . I've never ran in a zero drop shoe before and it is a lot different than any other shoe I've ran in . I have arthritis in both my knees and these shoes help out a lot . You really work your calfs and Achilles taking pressure off of your knees . The bigger toe box is amazing , letting your toes splay the way they were meant to and relax your feet .
I would definitely recommend these shoes for anyone looking for a really comfortable shoe for trail running and hiking !

I used to love to hike and walk but at 63 I found my mobility to be iffy at best as I began suffering from lower back and hip pain. I have had my Line Peak shoes less than a week and I am ecstatic. I just got through an amazingly beautiful hike on the Colorado National Monument. My body is still adjusting to the shoes but I felt stable, strong and solid in these shoes. Amazing! It's been a long time since I have been able to enjoy a hike like this.

I love my Lone Peaks. I bought them to use on longer trail runs. I'm used to the King MT that I've been using since they came out, so I was a little worried about the stack height on these because I've always had issues with ankle rolling on trails. But they're really stable and super comfy!

Excellent hiking and trail running shoe. Runs quite small. I typically wear a 10 in *most* footwear and had to go up to an 11 in these to get a comfortable fit. The toebox is super wide which is great when your feet swell. No more cramped toes!

Ever since I was a kid, I have hated running! I would always get fatigued and everything would hurt! I was also slow and would constantly trip over my ankles! Modern day, me and my Fianc are on a weight loss journey! She is also Vegan, so haveing a company who is run in a human and animal ethical way is important! So for some reason, we went for a run on night out of the blue and ankle pain galore! Then she found out about Altra from a Vegan Youtuber she watches. And for so weird reason, we dove right in and bought 1 pair of Altras each! After one run.....MY GOD! As die hard as a Adidas fanboy I thought I was. No more wasting money on pricey Boost. Altra has done the impossible. My flat feet and ankles don't hurt and you have earned some lifetime customers! I really enjoy the freedom of running in my Altras!

Amazing shoe and I'm my humble opinion a massive improvement over the 3.0 (which I also liked). I have a narrow heel and a wide forefoot which originally lead me to Altra, however I have always found their other shoes a little too wide in the hall and toe box, but this time I feel that they have absolutely nailed it, my foot never feels like it's swimming and I have super confidence in steep, rocky, technical terrain. I really hope Altra stick with the toe box and tighter heel which this model has, rather than the super uber large toe box and wide heel which previous models have. You nailed it!!!!

Literally the most comfortable running shoes, and pretty any shoes, I've ever had. And right out of the box! Can't speak to the durability because I haven't had them that long, but WOW, they feel so good on my feet. Altra just got another fanboy.

I run with perfect form with these shoes after the first run. Amazing! The toe space is such a great feature, I am a product designer, and these guys got it right! I will be back for many more pairs. If you value your feet and want to run with great form, buy some Altra zero drop shoes!!!
