Altras are my favorite because of the generous toe box. They are very comfortable and offer good support. I always buy them on sale because they don't hold up as well as other brands. I have read that durability has improved, so I'll have to wait and see with this pair.

The drop ended up being something I couldn't get used to at this time. I "know" it is a great approach, but with too many other foot, ankle, and hip problems, it was too much for me. Very comfortable (sitting down). My only real complaint is that the laces are far too short - especially for folks with painful arthritic hands.

I was really hoping this shoe would work for me. I had read quite a bit about altra shoes and zero drop. the toe room was good and I liked the fact that it allowed my toes to spread out naturally. I use orthotics in my shoes and these were so small that I couldn't get my orthotics in them. I returned them and will try a different Altra shoe and a larger size. If you don't need orthotics they may work for you. I think they are definitely worth trying.

The Torin's are definitely narrower in the middle of the foot compared to the Paradigm and Intuition. I kept the Intuition.

Unfortunately, I had to return theses shoes. I was expecting a much wider toe box and they did not fit me comfortably.

Very nice looking shoes, but I found the size to be much smaller than other brands, perhaps even 1 1/2 sizes smaller. Women's sz 8.5 should technically be the same as a men's sz. 7, but the men's sz 7 fits me better (partially because men's come in wider sizes). However, even though men's 7 fits me better, it's still too small. I may need to try a different style in women's 9.5 and see if they have a wider fit. I have tried 3 men's styles and have noticed that they vary in arch support and width of toe box. Altra is unique in that they don't have any unnecessary space in the shoes. They fit around the toes and are created to cause the toes to splay out naturally, but because I have large bunions, and thus, my large toes point inward, my big toes do not point straight, even with Altra. Even still, I like that even though this shoe was too tight and small, my toes were not squeezed into a pointed shape. They are light and supportive and very flexible.

These shoes were very short and much more narrow then advertised. There was no room for my orthotics.

I have had several versions of the Torin and they have kept getting better until this version. I am very disappointed. The wide toe box which has made this shoe so comfortable for me is significantly narrower in this model. I could tell as soon as I opened the box that I wouldn't be able to wear this shoe.
