Fit for my first pair of Altra running shoes was great. More importantly the comfort and feel was awesome. Haven't been able to sprint in many years but with these I can add interval sprints into my walk, run, jog routine.

I ordered my regular size footwear and it was to small. A half size larger would have been perfect. They felt very comfortable when I was just sitting with them on my feet, but knew I wouldn't be able to walk in them without my toes hurting. I am sorry to say I had to return them, but I loved the color and ease of return was wonderful. I will definitely be looking for another sale and will go to a local foot store to have myself fitted. I have a friend who has them and says they have changed her life, her feet now feel so good.

My second pair of these Altra running shoes. Perfect for Morton's neuroma - no pain or discomfort. Other reviewers were bothered by the top of the shoe pushing into their foot. I haven't found this to be an issue. As other reviewers noted, the shoelaces on these come untied a bit too easily so always use a double knot. Otherwise you can't go wrong - it is an affordable pair of zero drop running shoes with excellent support.

I ordered a half size up on the recommendations I read here, however, they were a bit too long for me so ultimately I sent them back. Was in the market for shoes to treat my (repaired) bunions, hallux rigidus, and general absence of cartilage between the first phalange and metatarsal which has caused arthritis caused by years as an ultra marathon runner, which I have since given up due to the damage it caused to my body. Was looking for a zero drop shoe (I was a minimalist runner and I still believe it is best for the spine to be on an even surface), that had a stiff, rocker-like forefoot. And I found it. I ordered a smaller size from another retailer and I am excited for them to come. While these aren't as stiff as say a birkenstock or a keen boot, it is just about as stiff as could be while still allowing the foot to be and do what a foot does. I have a narrow to normal heel, wider across the toes, and I would say a "medium volume" foot. I was able to take out the insole and put my orthotic inside and had enough room for a mid weight sock. While ultimately I did not need to size up and the 9.5 felt like clown shoes on me, I am positive a size 9 (my usual size) will be Cinderella's slipper on me. If you believe in the zero drop and minimalist philosophy, but have foot problems and need a more rigid shoe, or put on a lot of miles and need something between yourself and the ground: look no further. This is it.

The size is bigger than my usual (I used to wear a size 8 running shoe), but this is normal with Altras. O only buy Altras now because I have major toe and feet problems. This is my second pair of Torin 3.0 - I got it because I knew it would fit and didn’t feel like playing around. My last Altras that I still wear is the Duo, and I like it better, but it is very breathable mesh on top, and it is too cold for that this winter. I wore these new Torins with heat packs on top of my toes yesterday and my feel were very warm.

Really like these tennis shoes a lot. I'm normally a size 10 in other shoes, but with these I did order a half size up.
The toe box is very roomy and I like the zero gravity shoe. they're kind of like Earth shoes in that way.

I love the styling of these shoes, they are like little works of art, with the super-cool weave of the fabric and the super-comfy "Keen" style toe box. I wanted badly to keep these, but I have a high arch and there wasn't much arch support. My arch supports didn't fit well in the shoe, so I had to return them. Suggestion to the company: Offer arch supports for higher arches that you can purchase separately. Then I would never take these shoes off! I also wanted to compliment Zappos on their amazing customer service. Love you guys!

I love this shoe. Had to add an insert but that’s ok. I walk miles in these shoes. Unfortunately Altra changed the new 3.5 style. No where near as comfortable as these.

I work as a nurse and would absolutely recommend these for long days on your feet. I just ordered my 2nd pair and did go up a size because I also wore to run a half marathon. My feet slid forward slightly during running and one of my toes hit the end. I have a bunion and these shoes are wide enough in the regular width to not put pressure on it. I have owned numerous brands of running and work shoes and these rank right at the top for comfort.

LOVE this shoe! I also suffer from a few foot problems, the worst of which are bunions with developing hammertoes and chronic neuropathy. Needless to say, before Altra, my shoe selection was fast approaching zero. I was living in flip-flops. When I first tried the shoes, it seemed like they would be too narrow to accommodate my ever widening feet so I only wore them inside for the first 3 days. However, I noticed that each day they were a little more comfortable and realized that the uppers had relaxed somewhat and would probably continue to do so. Now I am very satisfied with the fit and love the cushioning every step of the way.
I also want to thank Ally(?), the very helpful Zappos rep who helped me with my order. You made me very happy Ally -- thank you!

These shoes are wonderful. I can walk with little or no pain for the first time in months. Have a funkly 2nd toe that is trying to become a true hammer toe with a very painful corn where it presses against my great toe. The foot bed and wide toe box have made it possible for me to walk without pain. Am ordering a second pair while I can still find them.

Fantastic shoe, I did go up a half size and the fit was perfect. I have neuropathy due to chemo and these are the most comfotable shoe I have worn since developing it.

I have multiple OA joint discomfort and must keep walking which is my only form of exercise. The Torin has the most padding which allows me to exercise. Without this shoe I cannot keep active to keep my OA pain from keeping me imobile. I order the Torin 3.5 and it is the worse shoe ever. I tried to make it work. The Torin 3.5 is not a shoe for OA/RA discomfort. It is a shoe for high athlete runners. I was able to find a Tornin 3 on Zappo to continue daily walking. They are out of my size. I keep trying for another shipment.

Love these shoes! Just got my second pair, have had the first pair about 3 months. I do a lot of rough ground walking for my work and really like the support, toe box and cushioning. Wish there were more color options.

For me, shoes fit well...however, the shoe size seems to run short. I ordered a 9.5 and a 10, which were Euro 40 and 41. I ended up keeping the size 10/41 as the metatarsal, medial, transverse and lateral arches all hit my foot in the correct places. Whenever purchasing shoes, the arches should always rest in the correct valleys of the foot.

I am an altra fan, and these did not disappoint. Usually I get an 8, but with Torin 8.5 works better.

Love this shoe, great to run in or for everyday use. No break in and wide toe box. I like these better than my Hoka’s and even ordered and second color as a spare.

I am committed to Altras. This pair felt good, but not as great as the Ultra model. I was conflicted, but decided to return them and get another pair of the other model

I've had a really hard time over the years finding running shoes I liked, and my biggest problem was finding a large toe box. When I read about Altra I had to try them. Overall I am satisfied with these. The toe box is definitely the widest I've seen and is great to let your toes spread out while running. For cushioning I personally need a bit more, so I think next time I'll try for their higher cushioned ones since these are only moderate - but for the average person these are probably fine in that area. I would say you should definitely size up at least a half to a full size. A 10.5 was perfect for me and in other running shoes I wore = Brooks 10, Newtons 10, New Balance 9.5 Ryka 9.5, Nike 9.5, Sketchers 9.5 (casual shoes I wear an 8.5). AMEN to someone finally creating a shoes that is shaped like the human foot!
