These are fine for walking on flat surfaces. Terrible for uneven surfaces even as mild as small bumps in the grass. They need to make an indentation for the heel to stabilize the ft. Because of the elevated heel for comfort the heel slided around on uneven surfaces.

Marketed as a recovery Flip Flop but my wife and I found them to be very hard, stiff and uncomfortable. We expected something soft that would relieve the tension in your feet.

Runner who swears by Hoka Bondi shoes....
I bought in March 2024, and I suffer from plantar fasciitis in both feet and have a lot of mileage on my feet. I've tried about a dozen different brands and styles of sandals looking for something with arch support that's also comfortable. These are without a doubt the most comfortable flip flops I've ever had.
The rub is they're cheaply made. The top strap which is properly snug at first stretches out quickly. Within 2 months the backing of the strap started to separate from the main front portion bunching and causing rubbing. Now, just over 3 months into owning these the strap is ripping down the middle.
I adore how these feel on my feet but for this price, I'd expect them to last more than 3.5 months. I also live in Buffalo NY, it's not like they've been used daily for that time span lol. They basically lasted the spring and are now shot.
The soles are still perfect and super comfy, but these things just don't last. I'd give 5 stars on the soles and -1 star on the straps since they didn't even make it through a Buffalo Spring and summer... I still have 3 year old pairs of a rival brand which aren't as comfortable but also aren't ripping, sadly I'm going back to them.
I will try Hoka again for the next generation to see if they got it right because I can't oversell how much I LOVE the soles.
Super , I love my Hoka running shoes, and these are half perfect and half disaster.

Somehow all of my orders here I always go for sizes 11 for slip on and 11.5 for the shoes but this one I chose size 11 and it's big so returned it and have it exchange for a smaller size, will update as soon as I get the new one

I was happy with the support and the comfort of this product. But after wearing for a month they broke. The piece between the toes snapped. Which is unfortunate for the price paid.

I love how the support my foot and how good they feel however on the right flip flop the strap cuts my second tied .
I half to put a bandaid on in order to wear them .
If they could make the edge have a piping or roll the edge they would be amazing

These are very comfortable sandals, but they don't last very long. I live in Minnesota, so I really only use sandals for about five months of the year. I bought these a year ago, and the toe strap just snapped. I guess they just don't last.

I wanted a comfortable pair of flip flops, however, after a day of wearing the pair I my toes ended up getting a blister from the little piece that connect between the big toe and "pointer". Unfortunately I will be returning these.

They feel way too small. I wish they had a size 15. I would return them if I could.

They are not super cushy at all actually quite the opposite they are hard.. Nothing special, no idea what recovery is supposed to mean in this situation since they are so hard. DEF not worth the money. Returned.

I was hoping that this would have a sole that feels like those on the Hoka running shoes. It's not remotely like that.

My husband loves Hoka shoes and only wears them for walking so I bought this slides for my husbands birthday, He loved it but after a couple weeks, the strap came off. So I did an exchange and got a new one, it still is the same thing, the straps come off easily. He ended up putting super glue so it will hold better. My recommendation to Hoka, please do a better inspection on the straps and upgrade them to a better one so it wont come off easy. The bottoms are great, its just the strap is cheaply assembled.

Very comfortable base , however the edges of the straps dig into my skin one I start walking. The edges of the straps ended up cutting my skin & causing minor bleeding.
Might I suggest for the next version to have leather or soft meshy like materials like all the other brands use for their slipper straps.

I bought these for my boyfriend because he is dealing with plantar fasciitis. They were recommended on multiple sites. I bought them in June and in September, the thong part broke rendering them unusable.

This is my second Hoka sandals. The first one was very comfortable and I used it all the time. This second one has a comfortable sole, but the strap is too sharp on the edges and it really bothers.

These were pretty comfortable except for the detailed design on the sole which hurt the bottoms my feet. They show a lot of toe cleavage which I wasn’t thrilled with. Then the thong broke so they are headed back as a return. Also, in true Hoka style I find most of the color options obnoxious except grey and black. Now the grey is out of stock so I’m stuck trying a color I would never choose. Bummed.

Super comfortable. But, fell apart (strap between large/2nd toe broke) after 6 months. Alot to pay for a flip flop that only lasts that long.

Its not been a month that I have used it but part of the strap are peeling off already. But using it helped me a lot with my Achilles tendinitis.

These flip flops are just wayyyy too loose. The length was fine, but the straps are too high making it really hard to walk without my feet slipping off. I love Hoka shoes but these flip flops were really disappointing because the straps don’t hold your feet in place.

My husband loved theses shoes and only wore these flip flops about 8 times and the toe pulled out from the bottom of the sole.

After trying on a friends Hoka slides, I was eager to get my pair! Both my husband and I felt the thong was too sloppy fitting. The bed was cushion comfort, but the strapping was not tight enough to ensure safety while walking.

HOKA makes incredible running shoes, however this sandal felt very low quality, like a slippery plastic. Returned immediately.
Return was easy and fast refund, so I do appreciate your customer care, HOKA!
