it's been 5 or 10 years since I've been able to walk a mile NOW I can. These shoes are built RIGHT!!

After 23 years of not running(due to getting ill and having to stop), getting out of shape and gaining weight(happy family weight), last year I picked it back up thanks to the Bondi 6. This year, after dropping almost 60lbs in the last 10 months, and hundreds+ miles wearing down those Bondi's, I bought the Tracer 2. I have been running in them about a month and they have been fantastic. Fits like a glove, and I almost don't feel them on my feet. I look forward to starting up 10Ks and half marathons again this year, this time wearing the Tracer 2.

I've been using this shoe for track workouts and speedwork on the road. I loved the feel of the shoe from the first mile and it has continued to impress me. I hope to use it for my next half marathon.

Comfortable, fast. All my best marathon times have been in the tracer or tracer 2.

fast, light, and comfortable while providing enough cushion without feeling sloppy. Best race shoe for me!

Basically the perfect shoe for me. Perfect balance of lightweight, fast and cushioned. I train mostly for half marathon and marathon and triathlon, so I am conscious of weight and I don't feel any lack of cushioning. No real cons that I can think of!

This shoe is light weight and responsive. Perfect for short and middle distance running. Just ran a half marathon PR in them 2 weeks ago! No blisters! No complaints. Great product.

Hoka regular width shoes fit traditionally from "slightly narrower than regular" to narrow when compared to the majority of brands. Hoka wide models fit like a roomy regular to a single E width shoe (which fit excellent, by the way). While you make the Bondi and Clifton in a wide model, you offer no up-tempo training/racing shoe in wide. Too many equate speedy runners to narrow feet and larger runners to wide feet. However, there's no correlation. I wear the Cliftons in wide to train, but race in different brand shoe (and know many others who do the same - attracted to the cushioning of the training shoe, but finding no compatible Hoka racing model). I would prefer to race in Hoka. Hoka really should offer the Tracer model in wide (or an even lighter up-tempo training/racing shoe) - you're missing a large section of the running public.

This is a good shoe, light good cushion and pretty stiff so you get good push off. Only thing that would make this a better shoe is if it were a little bit wider the toe box is narrow.

Fits great and super comfortable. Been buying Hoka shoes about a year. Great support and these are modern style without losing comfort.

Great shoe, very comfortable. Only downfall was I had ran on avg 40-50 miles a week for years in Brooks that had 12mm drop, these Hoka's have 4mm drop, took a few runs to get used to them

I really liked the Tracer 1, but it had a narrow toebox. The box is wider with the Tracer 2 and so far (150 miles) appears to be just as good! I also like fact that it doesn't have a lot of drop/displacement. *** The Tracer 1 only last me ~300 miles before the cushioning started to give out and the fabric started to tear. I am not sure how long the Tracer 2 will hold up.

After 2 weeks running 30+ km/week, fits like a glove, cushioning feels responsive and comfortable at the same time, my search is over - give these a go if you are looking for something a little more than a racing flat but a lot less than a typical cushion

These are my new favorite racing and interval shoes. Great for mid foot striker, provides support even during longer runs, I have up to 1/2 marathon in them and might be able to go a full marathon as well. As per previous reviews, these are far different than version 1. Much wider, I sized up 1/2 size from version 1 after reading other review. They are slightly firmer in the forefoot, definitely feels better at speed.

I just finished a marathon in these shoes and I'm VERY glad that I wore these! I've run over a dozen marathons and these have been the best shoes that I've used in a race yet. I've worn Nikes and most recently Hoka Clayton 3s and Gaviotas. The previous Hokas were nice and cushioning for sure, but these Tracer 2s were much lighter and I felt a good amount of spring in my stride compared to the others while still giving me good cushioning. Plus, in my last race with the Gaviotas a month ago I got several blisters which made the last few miles of that race really uncomfortable! No blisters and not much stiffness post race this time at the same distance and same size and same socks and same conditions as the last race. The toe box wasn't too narrow for me though it is definitely narrower than my other Hokas and my heel stayed very secure in the back. The sides around the heel didn't dig into my ankle like other shoes that I've worn so that was great. The tongue stayed in place and has minimal padding if any, so I made sure not to crank down on the shoelaces. The tread hasn't shown much wear yet, but it's still early in the shoe's life and given the limited harder rubber coverage on the sole and the cost of these shoes I think that I'll reserve these just for races. This is especially true for my training which is almost exclusively on trails. I'd love to get the Hoka Speedgoat 2 for that. Overall I'm very happy with these and look forward to using using them in a month for my next marathon.

It's my first Hoka One One pair of shoes. I'm very satisfied with my purchase. My first 5K was a pure pleasure, I ran faster than my average time. They are very comfortable and they give a nice kick. I have only one cons, the laces are a bit too long.

I run 50 and 100K races and you notice the difference in every once at these distances. If you need cushion like me then hands down Hoka did it again making the shoe even better than before. I bought 2 more pairs of these before they sell out. I highly recommend this shoe for race day!
