I have a somewhat narrow foot and this model feels perfect. My favorite Hoka so far. They don't seem to be causing my feet to roll to the outside. - seem to be holding up well. I have two pair of these and 6 or so other pairs from the past that are now gathering dust or used as mud shoes.

I have run in the Odyssey, Vanquish2 and now the Clifton4-they are the firmest so far but felt good out of the box on a 7 mile easy run today-they don't have as much of the 'marshmallow' feel but my feet felt more 'upright'-they were a half size bigger than the V2 but feel the same(?)-I don't have multiple pairs to run in as I can't justify that until I do more than 1-2 runs per week-I also go cycling-I ran in the V2 for 2 years

Been running in Hokas a while, all version of Cliftons. These, C4, have lasted longer than any of the other version before. I was only getting about 250-300 miles out of the previous Clifton versions and I only wear them for running. The 4's I have now are already at 350 and not ready to retire them yet. May get another 50-60 miles out of them. So big improvement on longevity, also heel crash pad and forefoot crash pad have better traction on wet surfaces. Another improvement. I always thought the Cliftons were just a little too soft, so I put Superfeet inserts into stiffen them up a little. Just my preference. I'll buy them again. I also thought the upper was a big improvement over previous versions.

Let me start by saying I have FF feet (aka Fred Flintstone) and they seem to be getting wider sadly. I used to be able to squeeze by with a D but it was uncomfortable at best. Now wide is the only option. I've gone through several different brands (Saucony, Brooks, NB, Altra, Sketchers) and have settled on Hoka's for my past 4 marathons. It's now the only shoe which satisfies my needs of high cushion, width and now with the Cliftons a "lighter" running shoe. Light here is subjective as in the grand scheme of things it's not that light. But compared to the options I have they are just that. I just retired my first pair of Clifton 4s with over 450miles and they held up better than all my previous Hoka's which were all Bondi & Arahi. Please continue making these and I'd love to see more color options for the Wide's. This large footed runner absolutely love them and will be sporting them in Boston in a few months same as I did in NYC this past November.

I'm a recently new Hoka addict, finally finding the Clifton 3 about 2 years ago after trying several other shoes that did not allow me to run without calf pain following an old calf injury. I recently tried pairs of the Challenger ATR and Stinson yrail shoes, but the calf pain returned. So, i finally opted to try the Clifton 4. They immediately fit better than the ATR or Stinson - felt more comfortable, and mkre similar to the Clifton 3. Running is similar to the Clifton 3 as well, and I have had no recurrence of the calf pain. I still have 2 pairs of 3's that I am phasing out, but have no worries about my eventual transition to, and eventual additional purchase of, the 4's.

Best Clifton yet. I run 6 miles every other day, and these are not only the best yet, but the longest lasting. The biggest problem I've had with Clifton is that the soles wear out. I'm getting a solid 100 more miles on these (I've gone through two pairs so far) and easily another month and a half. I have to admit feeling trepidatious as to the increase in weight, but you don't feel it on your feet. I highly recommend these. I do have narrower feet than most, just as a general note. Terrific shoe, and a much better value now that they last longer.

I purchased my first pair of Hoka One One, the Clifton 4s, and their out of the box comfort and feel were excellent. My first run in them was four (4) miles and I had no blistering or rubbing issues. It took the first mile to adjust to the 'rockered' sole, but after this initial period I felt great.I liked them so much I bought a second pair later that week and ran nine (9) miles in them without any issues.

I purchased this for the cushioning and was not disappointed. These shoes are incredibly comfortable and responsive. Max cushioning makes for an easy ride and has helped me in triathlon training.

I have never been happier with a pair of new shoes! I had 3 pairs of the previous Clifton iteration and this is an improvement. First, the incremental width increase is noticeable and very welcome. Second, while the Clifton 4 is designated as neutral, the footbed provides excellent stability for a severe overpronator, even feels like there's a subtle medial posting for support. The cushioning is excellent for relief of my neuropathic pain. Although I no longer run, they're terrific in the gym, walking and hanging out. Very light, of course, comfort deluxe, nice color, too. 5 stars, out of the park.

Toe box has a wide natural hug. Still spacious. Has a rocking forward motion shape that Nike tried to put in Vaporfly shoe, but Hoka feels subtle and rocking. I only see injuries with Vaporfly. These new Hoka still have a pillow on your feet feel. Very breathable. Super light at 9oz. Material can still improve for durability. Can get 200 miles from these. You can get about 250 from a Brooks and Asics. For the experience and benefits it does not make it a deal breaker. This is my second pair since they have more colors to pick from. But you can also find someone at the swapmeet to custom color them
