I really like these boots. I ordered my usual size, 8.5, and they fit well, even with a thick sock. I would not recommend upsizing, as they seem to run slightly large. They are well built and sturdy. My feet haven't once been cold in them. The fact they are waterproof makes me very confident when trudging through snow. The one con is that I'm concerned to lace them too tightly for fear the plastic grommets will break, as other reviewers have complained about. But I do love them and I have to add, so do my friends! I've created boot envy.

Great for Chicago winter. Kept me very warm throughout the polar vortex and was very easy to walk in snow with these boots. These boots made a huge difference!! They do cause blisters when you first wear them, but you can wear longer socks to prevent that from happening.

I got this for my mom. She wanted a good boot, that was really warm, but not super bulky. She loved how comfortable they were, and was surprised on how warm they were. Most of the really warm boots, are the big bulky/heavy boots. These are the perfect replacement.

Snow days

Finally found boots that are high enough on my leg and warm with arch supports! I live in cold country and I put these on for a -9 day! With regular dress socks on my feet were warm and comfy! Walking in 6" of snow and ice no problems! Love these boots!

One of the best gifts I have ever gotten. So warm and cozy, I would suggest these to anyone looking for winter boots.

I work in the field and in order to survive the New England winter, I needed a pair of boots that can withstand the roughest snowstorm/rain/ice etc. This pair is designed for that. The rubber base provides stability for the ankles but flexible enough to provide free ankle/foot movement. I particularly like the traction it provides which hopefully will keep a good grip on slippery ice. Cant wait to break-in on snowy day!

I am totally in love with these boots! They are comfortable and cute!! I love to hike in the snow and have been looking for a great pair of boots like these. I was apprehensive at first to buy online with out trying on. I definitely lucked out! Great quality, super cute, comfortable and warm! I will definitely recommend!

I first tried these on last year and skipped because of the price, then we had a horrific snow storm and I kept wishing I'd bought them. So on cyber Monday nothing was going to stop me! They fit great and are very warm and comfortable like most items from North Face.

I live in northern Minnesota and these boots have been awesome in negative degree weather!

I purchase the boots for my daughter's birthday.. She is a California girl spending time in New York. Her First Winter ever! She loves them because they were comfortable, warm and stylish.

These boots are definitely warm and super comfortable. It is important to note that these boots do not have a built in arch support. So if you have high arches you may want to consider getting some orthotic inserts. These boots are great in the rain, no issues with slipping thanks to the rubber lowers. I have not had a chance to test these out in the snow just yet, but I would suspect that they will prevent slipping ion ice as well. I'm excited to see how the ice pick nugs on the bottom work. I purchased my boots a half size larger to accommodate thick socks, as recommended by the sales clerk, but with as warm as these are I think next time I may get the 6.5 instead of the 7, but I may change my mind about that once it gets colder. So far the lowest temp I've worn them in is 30 degrees. But they kept my feet plenty warm with just normal socks. These boots come with an alternate set of laces. The ones they're laced up with is an olive drab green, the alternate color laces are a dark brown. The green blends into the green leather on the boot, so I think the dark brown looks better and gives the boot more contrast. I was a little disappointed that the portion of the boot that goes up the calf, the part that looks like its knitted, is not actually knitted. Its a similar material to what the jackets are made of. This fabric will be easier to keep clean, and its probably warmer/weather proof so I'm not too bothered by it.

This winter boot keeps me super warm. I am very cold sensitive and very afraid of the winter. However, these boots really kept me warm and because of these boots I didnt miss classes because of the cold!

Love them although I hate the cold and winter i can't wait to wear them
