I wanted winter boots the other year that were tall and warm. However I was let down by my boots from last year with a zipper down the side that water got in when taking my boys to school every morning. So this year I wanted tall, warm and water proof and I am so happy that boots were made of what I want. I tried these on in store, I don't trust buying online for shoes or any clothing because you never know how it will fit. A lot of the reviews are negative due to the snug feel around the calf. I'm thin because of my thyroid, I got a size bigger than normal because of my thermal insoles and wanting the extra wiggle room for my toes. Don't want them feeling tight. Very cozy, looking forward to breaking them in! Living in Canada you have to learn how to dress for the weather, and that includes getting the proper gear, though expensive, so you don't have to wear lots of layers. I have a North Face Jacket that is long and love it! I know Forth Face makes great quality warm gear, I aim for it when I can.

The boots ar comfy soft and tall (17") They were the tallest in my budget and great for Chicago snow!

Just received the pair of shoes, tried them on. Feels very comfortable , can't wait to try them on in winter.

These boots are the absolute best! It's very comfortable, easy to slip on and also cute! I live in Wisconsin and it can get bitterly cold, so I always buy The North Face jackets and boots to keep me warm. I would recommend it to anyone!

I'm looking forward to getting snow this year so that I can wear these boots. They are great fit and very warm.

They fit great, they look great, but I haven't tested them in the snow yet! So time will tell how they stand up to wet snow!

As soon as I put them on and slid home my chunky custom foot bed into the boot knew I'd struck gold. Very, very comfortable to walk around the house, upstairs, downstairs, etc. They are so much more well constructed than my previous boots from a dif. brand name in terms of waterproofing, and they are so very elegant for a winter boot. The fur trim is very cute indeed. Note: the tall boot is only about 14" tall, not 17" as advertised. I ordered 2 different sizes to be shipped to my home as the reviews were all over the place. The 9's fit me perfectly and this is my normal size including my deep orthotic foot bed in place. Looking forward to wearing these when the weather turns, even as I'm not looking forward to the weather turning to rain. Love these boots!!!!!!! For those curious, I can't wear a rain boot as they are not supportive enough and are very clunky. Also, the heel to sole ratio is too flat. With this NF boot, the heel to sole height difference is good for my damaged feet. Love this boot. Can't say it enough. Thank you North Face!!!!

The boots are very good! They are very comfortable and warm! I am always cold and these boots have kept my feet perfectly warm and comfortable. They also look very nice with anything you would like to wear.

I bought these boots in December, and so far no problems with durability. I was looking for a quality boot that would last. They are warm and they keep my feet dry in New England slush and snow. My only concern is how noisy they are. They have developed a pronounced squeak in both boots (it is now early March). It's almost like a slapstick routine...extremely noisy! I'm just hoping that a squeak doesn't indicate a leak further on.

After being in Minnesota for 10 years I finally broke down to purchase some snow boats. I've been able to put these to the test a few times now this season. I highly recommend. They are true to size, I did order a half size up to be able to wear thick socks comfortably. I probably could have gotten away with my regular size. They are warm, easy to walk in and stylish. (purchased the all black pair) My husband commented that they looked more like fashion boots than snow boots. Win!

I use these boots on rainy days and when there is snow outside . I wear them daily to work because they keep my feet dry and warm. Onece at work I put my sneakers on. Perfect for any day wear since black is casual and matches almost anything.

Usually snow boots are heavy but it was light enough not to feel heavy during walking. After reading some of the reviews, I wasn't sure it would keep my toes warm. I bought the boots to go see Winter Olympics in Korea. It was really cold but it kept me dry and warm. The temperatures were in 20-30s. I usually wear 7-7.5 and Nike running shoes size 8. I purchased size 8 and was big enough to wear wool socks. I wore it for about half day and was comfortable to wear it. Didn't have any issues at the ankle or rubbing between legs.

Going on a ski trip and wanted a nice looking boot that kept me warm.

I love these boots. I'm new to the snowy weather, and these boots revolutionized my comfort in the cold and didn't compromise looking good! They are warm without being heavy, and are so comfortable to walk and drive in. I'd definitely buy again.

I need arch support and North Face is one of the few brands that does a great job of keeping my feet comfortable and supported for long periods of time out in the cold. The boots are super warm and my last pair lasted 5-6 years!

I work outside for my weekend job and that even includes working out in snow rain and freezing cold temperatures. I bought these boots because I wanted to ensure my feet would stay dry and warm in those conditions and they seem MIRACLE WORKERS! My feet are warm as can be that I don't have to layer up on socks anymore and they're so easy to put on that they can slide on with me wearing extra layers to protect my legs. Plus they seem very durable so I look forward to having these lovely boots for a few years!!

I have been looking for a snow boot and these semi to fit my feet well. Stylish design.

I love everything about it the way they fit how comfortable they are stylish very warm don't need to wear thick socks!
