I love the "out of the box" immediate comfort of these boots. However, after only a few months of use, a show lace buckle broke. I contacted North Face and there are no replacement parts for this problem. They asked that I return the boots, but I was disappointed to return a great pair of boots only for the simple problem of the lace buckle. To make a long story short, I returned the boots and received a credit.

Like the overall design but I live in Alaska which calls for cold weather most of the winter and I only use these for quick trips back and forth to a friends house because if I use these outside for long at only 40 my feet get cold

These kept my feet warm until the second time tied them up and the cheaply made lace loop broke off with less then 5-7lbs of preasure.

The boots are warm but the outer perimeter of the sole is wearing out pretty quickly and I have had theses boots for less than a year. They are no longer grippy on ice. Its the worst boot I had in terms of sole durability.

Disappointed with lace loop quality (check picture). Broke when walking on parking lot for no apparent reason other that poor design or quality. Loop appear to be made of aluminum (my previous pair of boots from NF had steel loops that lasted). Shame, because I like design and how warm and comfortable these boots are. Used for one month.

I bought these on Black Friday and there was no deal on them. These boots look nice. I wore them in North Bay, Ontario at -10 celsius while cutting wood for a fire. My upper body was warm but my toes were getting uncomfortably cold toes. I noticed The North Face does not give these boots a cold rating like some other companies do. The first day I tried them with a really think pair of socks and this made the boot a little snug and I had cold toes. The next day I wore a thiner sock and this time I could move my toes easier and yet I still got cold toes.

I bought these boots for my job as a lifty because they are called "lifty" boots. The boots are ok for winter boots but not nearly burly enough for my job. I find the title to be misleading. I have narrow feet and ordered the correct size, but the boots are still very narrow and pinch the sides of my feet especially with thick socks on. Boots were waterproof for about a week or two but now after walking in lots of snow they soak through. I'll be needing sno seal for these. The outsole traction was surprisingly poor. I slip and slide on ice more in these than in my ski boots (AT boots). Also I find that the sole has more rocker than I'm used to and kind of makes me walk funny. I prefer winter boots to be more flat so there is more contact with the icy ground. Overall these are OK winter boots if you're not walking in snow all day, but if you're a lifty these will not cut it.

Boots aren’t made to accommodate the average US male foot.

Beautifully built boot that unfortunately won’t fit many people. I’m an easy 10D. Sometimes 10.5. I ordered both sizes to try them. The 10 is way too tight in the toe box. The 10.5 is still too tight in the toe box but so loose in the upper that it actually bags out to the sides. These clearly are not made for American feet.

Second pair, eyelet broke same as the first pair. Because I had already had this happen, I was always careful lacing them. Didn't matter. Great boots otherwise, just cheap plastic used where the highest stress occurs.

This boot is light and comfortable as well as stylish but it fails to keep your feet warm. They are so light because they forgot to add insulation in the toe box! Standing outside for a half hour in 20 degree weather with snow on the ground and my toes are ice cold. Really North Face! Did you guys even test these boots before you put them in your lineup? Very disappointed customer.

Definitely not waterproof as it states in the description. The one I had bought might have been defective but after reading a lot of the comment below it sure looks like a huge flaw in manufacturing.

These boots are very comfortable for long periods of time when dry and look very nice. However, those don't mean a thing because boots are not waterproof even though North Face states that they are. After 15 minutes of walking in snow, water gets into the boot and feet get uncomfortably cold and wet, the worst thing that can happen in Canadian winters. I don't know how North Face does their testing to approve something is waterproof or how well their quality control is, but these boots are definitely not waterproof if snow can make them wet, let alone water. I really wanted to like this boot because they look very nice and rugged, they are warm when dry, and one of the most comfortable boots I have bought. However, the most important quality for winter boots to have is to be waterproof which North Face lies about.

One boot was actually shaped differently making it narrower and cramped in the toe. the other was fine. Hard to walk in just one boot that fits. Poor quality control.

Been buying North Face boots for 20 years for snow.. This is more of a basketball shoe from the shoe laces to the lack of insulation. The leather gets wet in snow , gets cold and your feet stay cold. They leak at the toe. To late to return , I will try another brand ! What a disappointment. ! Last pair North Face

I've had these boots for less than a month, and the metal eyelet broke while I was lacing them. I'm extremely disappointed with the quality of materials here.

Had high hopes to use the product based on previous reviews. This show runs very narrow. Basically, if you can wear a Nike shoe this may work for you, but if you can not fit into a Nike forget about this item. The last on the shoe is barely a D width. Offering 1 star as I can not wear and fit is not true to size.

These boots are made for fashion, not actual use. The eyelet snapped off the first time lacing them up. Can't imagine they'd stand up to actual use in the mountains if they can't even be laced without breaking. Just poor quality all around it seems.
