Tried several other and these were the best.

Good fitting shoe with almost no break in period. Style is pretty basic but can be worn with jeans or khakis.

Great desert boot. Very comfortable and stylish. True to size for a boot. I wear a size 11 in a tennis shoe and a 9.5-10 in a boot or dress shoe. Size 9.5 in these fits me perfectly.

I've been looking to replace my old waterproof chukka boots for quite awhile and came across this shoe. After reading past reviews I decided to give them a try and I could not be happier. Due to someone's comment, I bought a size 10 because I wear a size 11 sneaker and a 10.5 shoe. The 10 fits perfectly. They were incredibly comfortable right out of the box, which is hard for me to find since I have very flat feet. They are a stylish shoe that you can wear with jeans or with slacks or corduroy's. Couldn't be happier with the purchase.

These are my new favorite "boots". I normally switch between dress leather boots (Cole Haan) and hiking boots (Scarpa) with no in between, but I'm finding I can wear these for either condition. They're very comfortable, far more so than any of the heavy, lined winter boots I typically think of coming from Sorel.

Very happy and satisfied with the "Sorel Madson Chukka Waterproof Boot". Enough toe room without feeling to big, width feels good right off. Wasn't to sure about the color "Major/Cordovan" but as it turns out, I like the color a lot. The sole looks like it will last, but only time will tell that! I was hoping for a leather mid-sole and a welt out-sole, also a stacked leather heel with a rubber heel cap, but I didn't see the Sorel's that availability... I am hoping that when the time comes I can get these resoled with out a problem.... But that will be another bridge down the road!

After reading the other reviews, I was concerned about them being too big so I got both a 12 and 11.5. I was able to fit into the 11.5's but my little toes felt slightly cramped. I kept the 12's and am glad I did. They fit thick ski socks well and although they initially slid a little, that subsided as they broke in. Plus the little bit of extra space stays warm. My only regret is that I paid full price as they are on sale at the time of this writing.

Comfortable right out of the box! I agree with the other reviews that they run a bit big. I'm usually a 10.5 or 11, but the size 10 fit the best. There's still some room to fit in a thin arch support like the Sole one for Dress Shoes. That made it even more comfortable.Def got a few compliments, even got the thumbs up from the teenage daughter who usually doesn't like me wearing my Merrill's out on the town. Loved that they were supportive enough for a full day of brewery crawling, but classy enough to go out to a nicer dinner right after.

Got these for my husband to have a non-hiking-boot alternative for rainy or snowy city days. They are nice looking, slightly clunky but in a cute way. Sizing runs big -- he's usually a size 11 in athletic shoes and 10.5 in street shoes. These fit best in size 10. His foot is narrowish (often Cole Haan fits well) but the width is fine for him.

Nice looking boots, lite and comfortable. They do run big, wear 15, 14 fit me perfectly.

My husband really likes the looks and comfort. One thing he’s noticed on certain tiled floors is that these boot’s soles are extremely slick. So far no falls but he definitely has to be careful.

Fits true to size but they do take a day or two to break in. They're def waterproof but NOT warm. Thicker socks are needed for cold winter days so keep that in mind when purchasing.

The boots fit well out of the box, no break-in period was needed. The tongue isn’t fully gusseted, so YMMV on the waterproof ability of the boot and there is a slight tendency for it to shift. The outsole seems to be hard enough to not wear a pattern easily. The only long term concern I have is the exposed EVA midsole, which is likely to compress (if you’re a bit bigger) and become ripped (depending on where you take them). I’ve worn them in rain and snow — the only problem there is when going from outdoor to indoor, the outsole can be a bit slippery on a smoothish floor.
