Not what I expected, good looking boot but not warm. I wouldn't recommend taking to the snow

Very comfortable and warm boot. By cons not waterproof at all and zero traction on the ice! In fact, in my life, these were the boots that had the worst traction ever!
I'd also recommend:

So I bought these boots for work because I work in all conditions, however my job isn't tough on boots so I didn't need something rugged. They came and I was so pumped. They look great, feel great, and to me they are warm. Then, on the 2nd day of wearing them it rained. My left foot was fully soaked in 10 minutes. My right stayed dry all day so it must be a production flaw. Either way if you plan on facing the elements do yourself a favor and forget these. I'm legitimately disappointed because I love the look and feel of them. Get it together Columbia.

Why can't Columbia make these for women? I like this style and these colors much better than the "fufu" women's option, that look like they're only made to go shopping. Or at least offer them in a men's size 5 and up for us women who really like to hike. And please stop with the pink already. We like red, yellow, burgandy, orange, bright blue, deep purple, green, dark green too!! But in a women's cut!! Enough pink already!!

First off I want to say I'm a big supporter of Columbia and my daily attire consist of about 75% Columbia and has for years. However, these shoes were a huge disappointment. They are far from warm or waterproof. I walked through about 20 feet of morning dew grass and my socks are soaked. I would avoid this product in the future

I have to say, these are very comfy boots and kept my feet warm during winter hikes. Didn't wear these too much because I switched between these and another brand of hiking boots. On New Year's 2020 I went for a hike. Crossed a small creek with water ankle deep. My left foot was soaked! Don't even know where the water came in from. Comfy but not worth the price.

I bought these boots for a trip to Iceland and for winter travel to northern states. They are warm and waterproof in very wet conditions...but that's probably because I sprayed them with waterproofing spray beforehand due to other reviews. These boots were AWFUL in muddy/slippery conditions. They were borderline dangerous on some of the hikes I did. I can't imagine they will do well on ice. The insulation makes them fit more snuggly than Columbia boots without insulation. I'd recommend ordering up a half size, especially if you plan to wear wool socks with them.

Went down hill pretty fast, within a month the outsole of the right boot started to separate from the upper.. I used them for work ( I'm a retail associate) so I'm on my feet moving around 40hrs a week, nothing the boots shouldn't have been able to handle.. No wear to the tread or any other part of the boot.. would've been a great purchase other than the outsole issue..

On the box written "-25" but in fact first walking in -4 and my toes became cold. This boots only autumn or spring wear. The same situation and with another pair of Columbia shoes which i bought for my wife. Really doesnt work insulation as they write. I do not recomend to buy it.

The thermal part of this in the foot has an edge that rips up my Achilles tendon.

These boots are warm and are great on ice and slush. That's really the only positive thing I can say about them. It seems like the person who designed these boots has never seen a human foot before. They do not fit well and do not follow the natural form a of a foot. I don't understand how someone can make something so uncomfortable and unnatural to wear.

size is very inaccurate. I have several Columbia boots in size 12 reg and wide. I bought these for a Utah trip and the shipment was late (not Columbia's problem) for a 12 wide boot, could not get my foot into the boot with a lightweight sock on. returning.

These boots are not waterproof at all, despite the description and the word "waterproof" printed on the boots. Winter dog walks in Chicago mean sloppy wet socks and feet. These boots are a bust.

I was extremely disappointed with my purchase of the Columbia Fairbanks shoes. Despite being marketed as waterproof, my shoes were not water resistant after only two years of use. To make matters worse, the laces became torn and frayed after only a few months of wear, which is unacceptable compared to other competing brands that last for much longer. Overall, I would not recommend these shoes to others and am greatly disappointed with the quality of this product

Runs very narrow. Even when you select the wide version. Also very cheaply made as the bottom of the boot is already starting to separate from the body.

I owned the shoes for 1.5 months. Worn only few times a week for basic wear. No outdoor usage. Right bottom sole separated and pealed off when I was on vacation. Had to throw shoes out. I called to report to customer service and they couldn't do anything as far as crediting my account or offering me something back in return since I don't have the shoes anymore. I've been a loyal customer for many years, but Columbia has really disappointed me and don't think I trust there products anymore. Very sad

I purchased these shoes during the Covid time period 2019-2020. I wore the shoes a few times and noticed the sole began to separate. It appeared normal after the first few wears and it wasnt aggressive. I stored the shoes a few months and decided to use them on a hike. The sole separated even more to the point of water intrusion and poor safety (Detached sole). I tried to discuss this with the warranty team and explained the shoes had only been worn a few times. I reported the warranty claim for the first time in 2021 (A few months beyond the 1 year warranty) and they declined the warranty claim citing it was beyond the 1 year warranty. I dont buy shoes to return them. I buy them to wear and enjoy. I recently reported the same issue hoping managment had changed and that they were valuing customers again. They parrotted the same 1 year warranty and dismissed the claim again. I explained they had a quality issue that goes beyond the 1 year warranty; it's a poor quality shoe. My issue was the shoe was built with poor quality and will come apart after a few wears. Buyer beware; if you dont wear your shoes often, the sole separation may not become apparent until after a year. Columbia did not stand by their quality beyond 1 year regardless of the number of times the shoe is worn. The quality is not worth the price. Columbia use to be known for good quality and customer satisfaction. This is not the old Columbia. They have the cool designs, but the materials and construction are not the same quality as in the past. This shoe fell apart through light use and they held the line on a 1 year time clock regardless of their quality issue. Columbia appears to define quality by a time period (i.e. 1 year) vs perfomance.

Purchased a wide and even sized up and they're just waaaaay to narrow (I usually don't need to buy wides). I have no idea how they even put these into production. They seem like a nice boot but my feet hurt immediately because they were so tight.

Terrible if you want a waterproof boot. Socks were left soaked as I work outdoors all day after the first rainy day. Toe box is tight even with a size larger and ordering wide boots.

We were excited that these were rated for low temperatures. My son generally wears a 13 shoe. Unfortunately even though we bought the 14s & 15s, these were too short and narrow. His foot is long but not wide. They just didn't work for him.

The toe piece is dark gray (not light gray as pictured)... the boots look completely different in person. Columbia admitted to using the wrong images in their ads/media and have not updated. The boot images they use are misleading the consumer. The "wide" is also not a true EE width or 4E... if you wear an EE or 4E and think the wide version will work... you are mistaken.

Would not recommend these boots to anyone. They look cool but in terms of functionality they are awful. The fit of these shoes is wide and bulky which causes my feet just slide around in. That paired with a opening at the top of the boot that is also extremely wide means that any trekking through snow gets tons of snow into the boot where the water then pools and soaks your feet. I had high hopes for these but they are not well built.

I should have read the negative reviews of this boot before I ordered it but I didn't read them until after the boots arrived and I tried just one of them on (that was enough to tell that they are NOT wide at all). Like those other negative reviews, I found these boots are in no way wide. I was able to get my foot into the boot but the boot was so tight it felt like my foot was clamped into a vise. I should have expected something was wrong based on the fact that "Wide" is in the name of the boot rather than a selection to make between D and EE for this boot. I am returning these boots.

Great looking show. The sizing was terrible. Was lead to believe it was a EE but it was both too narrow and short. Disappointing
