Great boot if you aren’t into the heavy feel of a rubber boot. Can’t speak on the waterproof-ness yet, but husband is very happy with the warmth and comfort (wears them all day). Nice style too.

Go up one size.

I probably won't be hiking through mud or water with these because I bought them to use in the snow and on really cold days, and so far, they've been good for that. We haven't gotten a lot of snow yet, but they've been really warm in temps lower than 20 degrees. I also saw other reviews mentioning that they're not actually waterproof, so I sprayed them with waterproofing spray. It did slightly make the color darker, but they still look good to me and I'd rather have them functioning. They're also light and comfortable. A little stiff up top, but you expect that from a boot. I also saw other people had problems with the lacing staying tight, but I haven't. They also feel durable enough, not like a work boot, but more than a regular leather or mesh sneaker.

The length and width are perfect, once on. They are somewhat difficult to get on the foot due to the size of the opening (I have wide feet and very tall arches). You definitely can't just slip in and out of them. This is my second winter wearing them and they have held up, still look and feel great. I'm a woman and often have to wear men's winter boots because of my wide feet, and I still feel stylish and feminine in these. I use these as my daily boot. They're warm and I've never had any leaks. I will say that they did not cope with ice fishing very well—I fell a couple of times. But they do pretty well on icy sidewalks and stuff like that.
