After searching far and wide for a winter waterproof good traction dog walking shoe, I finally found it. My regular Merrell 7.5 size fits well and quality seems excellent. Slightly tight over the instep at first but relaxes a bit with use and becomes quite supportive. Good in light snow but haven't tried with actual ice as yet. Actual color is darker than photo, but attractive. Very comfortable with or without orthotics. Am happy to recommend.

Overall I like these and they have served their purpose. However, after less than one year of wear, they are coming apart at the front edge of the shoe - both a visual problem and a waterproof problem. I find this unacceptable for a shoe that is worn only seasonally and is less than 12 months old.

I really liked these shoes but the right one was too narrow. I liked them so much that I ordered them again in the same size hoping it was a fluke. The second pair was fine. They are very warm!

From the first time I put these shoes on, they were comfortable and a pleasure to wear. They kept me from slipping on my icy sidewalk. I'm thrilled with these shoes!

Although I really like these shoes, I had some problems. No. 1, the cinnamon shoes are way darker than than those depicted on the page. No. 2, my feet felt too tall to fit into them. Not too long. Not too wide. Just narrow, top to bottom. Without the insole, the shoes feel great. Those points aside, these shoes are well-constructed. The leather is top notch. And the treads look like they'll bite into snow and ice. Despite the color difference and the thick insole, I'm pleased with the purchase. I'm looking forward to wearing these long lasting shoes.

I felt the shoe ran a little small. It could just be my foot as the arch was really tight, although my toe was also very close to the tip of the shoe. I usually wear a size 8 and have other Merrell shoes that are size 8. I really liked these for walking my dog in the winter so I returned for a size 8.5 and they fit great.

Cinnamon is a dull brown -- don't expect reddish color. Possible to remove Merrell insert and add your own orthotic, helpful if you need it. Shoe feels very stiff, which might be due to materials used to keep winter cold out. Unsure if it would be comfortable, returned.

Narrower than I expected from the Merrell brand, and the heel was wider. I was stepping out of the shoes with every step. Returned them.

I love these shoes. I have been looking for a good pair for work that are waterproof. This shoe is comfortable doesn’t slip on wet floors. Perfect for my work at the kennel.

I am very happy with these shoes. Wearing my regular size there's just enough room for wearing slightly heavy socks, but not big bulky socks. I purchased these shoes for days when there's not a lot of snow on the ground but it's cold enough to be icy - that happens a lot where I live. I researched a lot online to find shoes/boots that would be non-slip on ice. I didn't want cleats because they can be slippery to wear indoors. Even though there hasn't been very icy conditions yet this winter to really put the Arctic Grip sole to the test, I can definitely feel that the sole has a more solid grip than regular shoes. And I like that the Arctic Grip sole can be comfortably worn indoors. They haven't scuffed my wooden floors at all. I wouldn't say that these shoes are exceptionally warm. They're maybe a little warmer than wearing just regular shoes, but not a lot. I like the way they look and the way they feel, so I'm very satisfied with these shoes.

I ordered this in 9W and 9.5W. These are the ONLY shoes in my closet in a wide width. The regular size was just a bit narrow for me. I normally wear either 9 or 9.5, although I do own a few 8.5 and size 10! These are very comfortable (kept the 9W) and the shoes have a tight seal, so that cold or wet weather will not penetrate the shoes. These will be perfect for winter and spring weather. I can wear them without the need to break them in!

Have been searching unsuccessfully for a winter shoe to handle moderate snow and ice conditions. Required waterproof, warm, room for heavyweight socks, ice friendly, comfortable for dog walking. Finally have found a keeper. My regular size 7.5 fits well. Instep area is a bit tight but am hoping it will improve with wear. Color is darkish brown. Nice style. I plan to wear mine indoors also.

felt great out of the box. bought them upon recommendation and recommended them to a friend myself. Normally Merrell's are a bit wide for me, but these feel spot on.

I like these shoes very much. I like the way they look and the way they feel. They are exactly what I need for cold winter days when I'm walking in plowed parking lots or sidewalks, that is, not deep snow, but perhaps icy. I purchased the same size I normally wear (8.5) and the fit is perfect, with just enough room to wear slightly heavy socks. They feel great after just an hour or so of wearing them. They were slightly tight right out of the box, as shoes usually are. I've worn Merrells for years and am very happy with this purchase.

I purchased a half size larger than I usually wear so that I could wear them with heavy socks. The length was fine and arch support seemed like it would be very good but the shoe was too narrow and tight across the arch for me. I think after some time wearing them that my feet would start to hurt from the pressure. Maybe they will stretch with wear but I don't want to take the chance. I am not sure if wide width is the answer. I usually love Merrells so I was disappointed.

I have tried several of the Winter Moccasins and this was the best fit in the heel--it did not slip as others did. I would have kept this shoe but it was too narrow across the front. If Merrell made a wider toe box, this shoe would be perfect and could be used with thicker winter socks.

Shoes fit great but are starting to pull apart after only 10 months of wear. Not ad well made as the mens my husband has had his for 2 years with no problems. But mine are now usless . Definitely nolonger waterproof.

I loved this shoe until the seams broke after just a few months :(

Amazing shoes for ice and snow. Stay warm; also hold well in icy areas. However, that does NOT mean to run and mess around on ice. It is superior to other shoes in cold weather. But in snow and ice you must be careful; be careful and this shoe is the best on the market and I am old! I have two pair! There are no finer in my opinion!!!!

Got these just in time for the first frozen slush/snow of the season! I just started PT after knee surgery and was interested in the traction soles, they are great so far! My PT loved them, she liked the way I walked in them(support, alignment) and she said that she was going to be checking them out for not only herself but other patients! They are NOT uneven on indoor floors. Love these shoes!

The is my third pair of these shoes. The 2 previous purchases were a regular 9. This time I tried a 9W as my baby toe seems to be getting larger, maybe a bunion or something. In any case, the shoes are wonderful, I wear them all the time, to hike, walk the dog etc. Slip on easily, stay on and keep my feet totally dry and toasty in the winter. Good arch support. THey are not beautiful or sexy but with a pair of jeans, my feet feel great and that makes me happy.

Wonderful shoes for winter warmth and comfort. Purchased 2 days before trip to Utah following their 20” snow. Perfect choice and much comfier and packable than boots. You can’t go wrong with Merrell or with Zappos.
