I love wearing these minimalist shoes, this is my 3rd pair. They fit snugly without raising my heels. My only complaint is that in this iteration of the shoes the sole curves over the top of the big toe in an uncomfortable way. I am going to look for an older version.

I walk every day after work and was needing a new pair of walking shoes. I already have this pair in the Baltic color that I use for running. The price was right for me on this pair, also used a coupon to get an even better deal. My running pair has worked out great, so I thought they'd be great for walking too. I love the wide toe area and they're so light. I have not had any issues with the running pair and I've had them since April, running twice a week. However, after a week of walking in this pair, the thread started to come out of the part that holds the tongue to the rest of the shoe. I contacted Zappos and they're sending me a new pair, arriving today!

The show fits well. This is my first pair of shoes that are "barefoot" or "nearly zero ground-to-foot separation". I tested them out walking. I noticed that my heal hit harder than in my other shoes but I think I am going to love them for hikes on uneven ground where you need more foot surety.

These are comfortable despite the total lack of cushioning and arch support. I will use them for race walk competition shoes only since the lack of support and cushioning wouldn't be good for much distance, but for that use, they are good, light weight and flexible. They would also be comfortable shoes for just "wearing around."

This shoe feels true to size and has a true lightweight barefoot feel. However, for me the shoe seems to roll my foot inward and is quite uncomfortable. The shoe I wear now is a Merrell Pace Glove that I bought several years ago. (They are so comfortable that I bought several pairs knowing that the style and fit would change). I'm not crazy about the styling because I like to wear these shoes all the time and everywhere, and the really bright colors limit when and where I would wear them. I realize there is black, but I do like a little color) I will be returning this shoe and hope that a new model will come out in the next few years that will be a better fit for me.

These are sneaker-like shoes with a rounded toe. They are tight around the toes. So I am sorry I did not buy a half size bigger. Appear to be of good qulaity. I only work them once , so I am not sure how durable they are.

I loved the look of this shoe, but there is zero arch support. I tried a number of orthotics, but there is just not enough room in the toe box. I even tried 3/4 arch supports, but the shoe is not designed to fit an orthotic at all. I wish they would design a shoe with this minimal look, but with adequate arch support. I had to return them.

I've been trying each Merrel minimalist running shoe and overall I love this line. I really like the stretchy feel and laces of the Vapor Glove 3. I like the concept of the additional rubber over the toe, but I'm not used to it yet. I'm hoping as I run in them more they will feel more normal, comfortable, and broken in. Currently, my toes are hitting that rubber more and it's uncomfortable, but I don't believe it's actually too small or doing any damage to my toes. I think I am just getting used to it. Other than that I like the fit and I'm pleased, yet again, with Merrell shoes!

This is a true barefoot running shoe. No arch support and no padding. I have been running in similar shoes for years so I am used to how they fit and feel. If that is not what you are looking for, this is not the shoe for you. I like that they are so light weight, and they really hug my foot. They seem true to size and the toe box is plenty roomy.

The black/silver color turns purple in sunlight. I was surprised by that. You might want to better describe the chameleon effect.

This shoe came highly recommended from a friend/trauma surgeon when I was looking to strengthen the muscles in my feet...and because I am so over sneakers. I LOVE this shoe. It is so comfortable, light, and airy and I have already noticed a huge difference with my feet. I am always between sizes, which is why I HATE ordering shoes online. I took a chance and went with 9 over 9.5 and it might be juuust a hare to small but I can still get away with it and comfortably wear this shoe. Though now I don't know if my next pair I should order a 9 or a 9.5. Regardless, it fits pretty true to size (it just helps when you know your size :P).

I typically were Vibram toe shoes and love them but sometimes I want a regular fitness shoe. These are a little wide in the toe (I'm slightly wider than most medium width shoes) but very comfortable.

I really wanted to like these. My Vapor Glove2s were my favorites. I also had a pair of sturdier Merrells with better treads for wet surfaces. Although they look great and the fit and support are perfect, the fabric is much coarser than my previous pairs and are really irritating my foot. I called Merrell and they suggested wearing them with socks! Sadly I will have to send them back.

I have 2 pairs of these shoes, V2 and V3. Very comfortable. However, within a month both pairs have ripped where mesh meets rubber at toe. I had to put thick tape inside the shoe to stop the rip from spreading. Also ripping where shoe bends at outside edge of big toe.

I was looking for a barefoot shoe for running. I usually run in vibrums but injured a toe running up a mountain and wanted something flexible with more coverage. These are great and the stretch in the laces makes them amazingly comfortable. Only downside is after a month they are starting to show wear on the sides :-(

Bought these to replace a pair of Barefoots I had previously (from like 2012). Material is breathable, true to size and feels like a barefoot shoe

I ordered several pairs of Merrell barefoot running shoes, not to use for running, but for general hiking, walking as well as for tennis and other sports. I am active, but over 70. I like the barefoot feel and light weight of these shoes. I found that the tongue came up too high on the front of my ankle and there was not enough support for these to work for me. I do own an older pair which I use for kayaking. They are easily worn in the kayak because of their low profile and the mesh makes them good water shoes.

Absolutely love these shoes, on my 3rd pair. They are TRULY BAREFOOT SHOES. You can fold them into a little ball with one hand they are so flexible. Exactly what I wanted in barefoot training shoes. I dont recommend them for running on asphalt as you need more sole for that. These are excellent for gym training. PLEASE BRING HEEL LOOP BACK..It made the shoe easier to get on, nice to hang on gym bags with carabeener and looks cooler. PLEASE OTHER LESS "NOISY" COLORS (besides just black) as options. HEEL LOOPS ARE COOL!

...but, i believed everyone that said they were true to size. i have to send these ones back and go a half size up. but other than that, i love the closest-thing-to-barefoot and the grippy soles.

Not as much support as I was hoping for. Plenty of toe room, though. If you don't need too much support, this would be a nice alternative to a bulkier running shoe.
