Shoes fit true to size, were light weight and provided the barefoot effect I desired with the surface protection of a thin sole.

Very comfortable shoes!!

My foot measures exactly 10-1/2 ft from heel to big toe and a hair under 4" at widest part. The size 10 fits perfectly, even with thin socks. These seem like a winner, just have to see how well they hold up over time.

I normally wear size 14 or 13 and these are perfect ( without socks ) in size 12 ... FANTASTIC water shoe for Kayaking... I'm in my second season and they are holding up GREAT ... thats why I decided to write this review.....

I normally take a 9.5 or 10, but in these a 9 is a tiny bit large. I wear them without socks. They go in the wash just fine. I love these shoes. Super lightweight, just enough protection for the bottom of my feet without losing the barefoot feel. I wear them everyday, but use other shoes for elliptical.

Super comfy, but definitely not for walking around all day. Good for running if you like to feel the road.

When they say barefoot, they are right, these shoes make it feel like you're not wearing shoes at all

The Merrell Vapor Glove 3 is the right name for this shoe as it fit like a glove. But you should consider getting a half size smaller than you usually buy. I got a 10.5 but the fit was sloppy. I went to a 10 which was as other reviewer suggested and it was perfectly comfortable.

I just walked several miles in these new shoes and although they are very comfortable there is little to no padding or arch support and my feet hurt. I'm going to need to put some padding in to give more comfort for my walks.

I love these shoes. I AM WRITING MAINLY TO HELP YOU WITH SIZING BECAUSE IT IS WEIRD. As many have noted, these run about a 1/2-size large; I am a 10.5 in almost every shoe -- _including_ other minimal running shoes -- but I am a 10 in these. But that's not the complicator; the 1/2-size drop may still _feel_ too big to you because of the distinctive BIG toe box that these shoes have by design. It's mostly about width, so your toes can spread out, but some of that upsizing inevitably becomes length. The upshot is that you may want to drop down a full size (I did; I sent a bunch of pairs of these back before finally finding the right size; or, rather, before figuring these shoes out) but my bet is that a half-size drop will be right for most people. And that weirdly big toe box is a very big reward. I have run on these on both flat, pavement runs and trail runs. The thing with your toes "spreading out" really holds. It feels like a very barefoot, pure running experience. The tread isn't great for trails, but it works -- I've run fire road and technical single-track on them, and the grip isn't as good as my trail running New Balance Minimus shoes, but (a) Merrell also makes a dedicated trail runner that I'll probably try at some point, and (b) I may not try it for awhile, because these work fine for me for trail running. I can't speak to their durability; they're still pretty new to me. But I wanted to write mainly on the sizing stuff, to try to save you the return/exchange odyssey I went through (kudos to Zappos for, as always, providing cheerful prompt and attentive customer service through all of that, as well).
