I was so excited to get this boot. Simple details, good quality leather, and water resistant. I typically wear 8.5 or 9; so I ordered a 8.5 (went by Euro sizing) couldn't get my foot in. So I returned them and ordered size 9, the heel cups were so curved I had to force/wiggle my foot in. After getting the boots on there is no way I could wear them with jeans as there isn't much room around my calf. I don't have wide feet, but this boot is made for a more narrow foot as they don't zip and the webbing on the back doesn't stretch that much. Very sad that they didn't work out, I love Sorel boots.

Have become my daily wear boots. Swapped out insoles for Super Feet insoles for more arch support. Would buy in brown if they become available again.

I ordered these boots and had to return them, sadly. I love the style, but i could not get my foot in the boot.The ankle was so tight, and there isn't a zipper to help. The buckles are up top, so they didn't help loosen the ankle area. I have a fairly narrow foot, and rarely run into this problem.

I think these would take a lot of breaking in to be comfortable and I was looking for something more out of the box comfortable.

The reviews are true, order a full size larger. I wear an 8 and the 9 fit perfectly. Originally, I wanted to add the ugg inserts to improve comfort and coziness, but the boots were too tight on the top of my foot with it. However, I walked around NYC for three days in these boots with no breaking in and my feet were warm and didn’t hurt. They looked sleek and had good grip. I wore them to shows and dinners out. While not super dressy, they look basic enough to be ok. I have sort of narrow feet and smaller legs so I also had no problems wearing thicker socks and jeans. If you get the right size and have a normal to narrow foot, these boots are perfect!

Don't listen to the reviews! I'm so frustrated I listened to the the reviews and sized up. I usually wear an 8.5 sometimes a 9. I sized up to a 9.5 and they were too big. Because they fit like a 9.5. They are in no way at all hard to get on. Or off. They are really nice looking, with soft leather. Perfect, nicer looking replacement for my Hunters. Just have to wait for my 9 to arrive now. :(. Great boots! True to size!

Definitely runs small; normally a 9-9.5 and a 10 was perfect. I have skinny legs and a narrow foot and I easily slid into them (with my skinny jeans on).

Bitter sweet. Ok other reviews about how hard they are to get on is correct. But once your in, sweet! Comfortable, calf hugging, and that is usually something I can't find. Leather quality is great, as you can see I've been in the mud and they whip up clean. Style is the classic North Western Girl, though with current trends I would have liked another Inch or two at the top. If Sorrel would just put a 2" zipper just at the heal crown, they would be perrrrrfect.

They need to make this boot with a zipper! Had to sadly return them. They are a very nice boot but didn't fit very well around my calves.

These boots have no zipper so I couldn't get my foot inside. I hurt my fingers trying. I have very small ankles and calves and narrow feet. Maybe if I really pushed and injured my foot, I could get it in, but then I'd likely have problems getting them off. Not convenient. The material and style looked nice too. Sadness.

I really wanted to love these, but getting them on and off is too much trouble. As others have said, without a zipper it's tough and super tough getting these boots off. I'm a 9 AA, with a 14" calf. I ordered the 8.5 which is what I wear in Sorel. The fit was perfect with a thicker sock.

I ordered these in an 8.5, I usually wear an 8. I didn't have any trouble with getting them off and on as others reported. I do however have a narrow calf. Comfortable right out of the box with a decent arch support. Matte black finish, which i prefer to a shiny black. I love them!

All the reviews say they are hard to get on- you have to use boot straps. They don’t have a zipper. They are wonderful!!

At first I didn't believe the reviews that recommended ordering a full size larger than normal, so I ordered my usual 7. I couldn't get my foot all the way in, so I ended up exchanging them for an 8. The person helping me do the exchange was really nice, and even though the price went up he only charged me for the lower price I originally paid. I got my bigger size within a couple business days, and the 8 fits perfectly. Glad I exchanged, but I could have avoided that extra step by just listening to the reviews in the first place. Order one full size bigger than you usually wear!

Love these. I followed the reviews and bought a 1/2 size bigger and returned for my regular size. My foot is narrow and these are so comfortable. A little wiggle gets them on and off but they feel great once they’re on. I wouldn’t wear them through the airport, taking them off and on would be annoying. Other than that they are awesome!

I have to admit, I was reluctant to order these at first because of all the reviews about the lack of a side zipper since I have two other pairs of sorel boots I love, which both have side zips. Although these boots would certainly be easier to get on and off with side zips, I really haven't had a problem getting my feet in and out of these. The elastic at the back makes it much easier, and the boots are quite soft. The style of these boots is great, and they can be dressed up or down. I love the fact that they're a matte black vs. shiny black leather, which is much more versatile Also, they're waterproof, which is fantastic. I don't buy anything but waterproof boots now since I live in New England. And--you can't beat the price of these boots for the quality. I am a size 9, and I ordered a size 9, which fit really well--and with a little extra wiggle room.

This is a beautiful boot! Great combination of function and style, and very well made. Great with jeans or leggings. I am returning/exchanging for one size up from my regular boot size because they are hard to pull on - my foot gets stuck at the ankle. I hope the next size will be a better fit because I LOVE everything else about this boot!

These boots are very stylish and cute. But they are too small I’m usually a 6.5 and I need like a 7.5 because they are tight and very hard to put on.

The shaft was way too small. I have average small calves and these were so snug only tights could have been worn. The style and fit was perfect but unfortunately I had to send back.

I agree - would be better with a zipper. Cute but returning - not as comfortable as it should be.

The boot is so stiff you can't get your foot to bend into the shoe. LOVE the style, seemed well made. So sad...moving on.

Like so many others, I could not get my foot in these boots - even with the help of a shoe/boot horn. I am narrow with a high instep and just could not squeeze into them. It's true that they do need a zipper. They also look like rubber instead of leather.

SO TIGHT around my calves-and I do not have big legs or calves. I had to return them.
