Great boot to wear skiing! Fits comfortably!

Great boots for winter

My hubby has worn his trusty slip-on Muck Boots for 15+ years of New England winters before finally wearing them out. I ordered a new pair for his birthday and on a whim, also threw in a pair of these SOREL Buxton Laces. He loved them so much, we ended up keeping both pairs! No breaking-in period required. They look great and immediately felt comfortable (he wore them out shopping right after trying them on). The Muck Boots can feel a bit clunky, so he plans to use those for shoveling, winter chores, deep snow, etc. He'll wear these for everything else. Our family finds SOREL to be a dependable, quality brand. My husband and kids seem to wreck most shoes in a few months, but they haven't destroyed their SORELs...what a relief! They're pricey but worth every penny. Pro tip: My hubby has a fairly wide foot and usually wears 13W in boots & casual shoes -- this style fit him perfectly in the 13. I'd recommend ordering your usual size (or going up half a size at most). We've find SOREL runs small for women/girls), but apparently they're more true-to-size for men.

I love these boots. Unfortunately I returned them due to being at least a half size to small. Will order a half size (or full size) larger to accommodate wool socks,

I ordered these in size 8M for my husband who usually wears size 7-1/2 and has a narrow foot. He thought they fit perfectly. I would therefore recommend sizing up 1/2 size and expect to wear only one sock. If your feet run wide maybe select a different brand. They are good quality snow boots with decent traction, and help one enjoy winter sports more comfortably.

Great winter boot for Minnesota. Not great for walking long diatances bit will keep your feet warm and dry. I recommend an inert pr orthotic for additional arch support.

The boots have very solid insulation which is great for cold weather. Due to the extra layer of insulation I recommend going up half a size. After the boots arrived and were tried on, I had to exchange them for half a size bigger. They now fit perfectly and are comfortable. Used them in the snow the other day and they are definitely waterproof. Highly recommend.
