I love this shoe, however I am a size 10 and while they fit in length they were too big in the heel. Will return.

I’m still in the break-in process, I think. The right shoe, in wide width, is tight on my bunion (not unexpectedly) and I’m hoping this will improve. I wear these at my sedentary job. I tried taking a walk in them last night, though, and didn’t make it even half a block before limping home. The length is generous; I take either an 8 or 8 1/2, typically. The 8W was plenty long. They’re nice looking, if a bit uninspiring.

I ordered the black and the brown. As some reviewers already note, the toe box is a wee bit narrow on both the black and the brown. The heel on both are a bit wide, slightly wider on the black than the brown resulting in heel slippage with the black. The brown stays on a bit better with no show socks. These shoes are super duper comfy though so i can deal with the slippage and the slightly narrow toe box.

Was hoping these would fit but they are very narrow - order wide for comfort.

All my other Clarks are 8.5 Wide (D), which is what I ordered BUT this shoe doesn't fit--it is too narrow in the toes and too wide in the heel, and when I walk there are gaps at the sides. I was so looking forward to these shoes--I wanted a loafer style shoe but because I am often standing for long periods at work, I needed a thicker, more cushy sole than the usual. This shoe has all that, plus is good looking shoe (that's why I gave 4 stars), but am sadly returning because it just doesn't fit right.

Really enjoy this shoe! Can dress it up or casual it down and still has a classy look!!

Based on prior reviews I ordered usual size and fit is very comfortable and no breaking in required. The style is understated, attractive and works with business, casual and travel. The thicker sole and style make it fashion current and good for walking distances when traveling. Very happy with the purchase.

Great style, width, but a half size too long.

Sharp, practical shoe, but not enough arch support for me. It is hard for me to buy shoes, so I can't fault the product. If you need arch support and like these shoes, expect to add something to it. I am not sure if there is room, but it needs something.

Great-looking shoe, but 1/2 size too big.

Style-wise, the shoes can look a little stiff. I’m also not in love with the way the leather sticks out on the top of the shoe (the piece that goes across isn’t sewn down on the corners and looks cheap in my opinion). However, they have been so comfortable I’ve given up worrying about the aesthetics and wear these shoes to the office more often than anything else. The backs rubbed a bit until they were broken in, but I was also doing a lot of walking before they were fully broken in.

Cute shoes! Wish I didn’t walk right out of them! I need a large toe box but not a wide heel. I ordered my usual 8 1/2 B and they felt good but slipped off the heel.

I was a little unsure about the comfort at first. My heel was sore afyer the first couple wearings. After wearing a bit more these are now so very comfortable. I'm on my feet much of the day and these offer good cushion and support.

beautiful shoe classy ,understated. loved loved. The right shoe fit perfect but the left was to tight across the widest part of foot. seam hit a nerve and even after trying to wear around a bit , hoping the leather would stretch I gave up. was excruciating. which s weird because my left foot has no bunion and the right does.. disappointed but may work for others wo dnt have my feet. really pretty shoe though with basic support, and nicely made. they are going back

Should have paid attention to reviews that reported sides of shoes gapping,as they do. They are very comfortable,however and just the style I wanted so I will make do.

These shoes are soooo cute and I'm so disappointed that I have to return them. Lengthwise, they felt fine. Perfect fit! However, they are narrow, especially in the ball of the foot area. As soon as I put them on I could tell that they were going to put too much pressure on either side and that would make life miserable. Sadly, they are going back.

I like the style/appearance--as expected from site photos-- and the length was right, but the medium was too narrow across my instep. Will try to order a wider pair.

Wanted to love this shoe. Toe box too narrow for a wide width. Heel to wide. I slipped right out of them when I walked.

The shoe is a very traditional loafer and very attractive. However, even though it is leather, the sides are too thin and too soft so when one steps on the shoe the sides bend out and don't support at all. So, unfortunately I am returning them.

I loved these patent-“leather” shoes and was really disappointed they didn’t fit. They look great! As other reviewers had stated, however, they felt a half, even a whole size too big. Unfortunately, I am a size 11, and manufacturers rarely make a 10 1/2. Beautiful shoes tho. Size down!

I love the look of this shoe! I bought a 7.5 M and it was too tight. So I sent it back and got the 7.5 W. Unfortunately it was way to big and flopped around on my feet. This shoe was just not designed for my feet. Very unfortunate! I was prepared to wear them a great deal and show them off.

Shoe fits great in the toe box but too loose in the heel and caused a blister. Need wide with in the toe box but the heel should not be so loose.

I like the comfort except they really are too wide especially in the heel.
