These boots fit like a glove and after a week of wearing them, I can tell these will be with me for decades. They run big, so order down a couple sizes, but the construction and fit is like no other shoe I have ever tried on.

Really looked forward to a pair of the Bowery boots in Antiqued Black but boy should I have read the reviews beforehand. I have a pair in Brown and love them so thought itd be awesome to get a pair that was quite different. WRONG As I have now seen in many other reviews, the pair I received are simply the black boots but look like someone accidentally scuffed them. When I flagged this for Frye, I was told Leather can be quite unique, and each pair of boots can have subtle variations due to the natural characteristics of the material. The coloring and texture can differ slightly from what you see in photos because of lighting and the way the leather absorbs dye. This is part of what makes leather products so special, as they each tell their own story. These boots arent subtly different or have slight variations. Theyre the black boots. The eyelets arent even the same. Also like many others because my purchase fell under the final sale category, I was told there was nothing they could do. Better yet, their advice? To sell them through The Frye Exchange (where Im sure they get a cut); so another customer could be disappointed. Let me be clear. I want these boots. I just want them to be within even a ballpark of expectations.

I have ten pairs of FRYE boots and all of them are great. I am an 11 in most shoes but in FRYEs I always wear a 10. 5 and they have really been consistent in their sizing. I like the thicker soles on the Bowery and I really like the zip up sides. So convenient for easy everyday wear! So far they are as good as all the others I own. Look forward to wearing them in.

Very stiff but that's to be expected and they are already starting to break in a little. The sole is likewise very stiff and I can only hope it breaks in too as right now I am clomping everywhere like frankenstein. Shinier than I expected so hopefully everyday wear knocks that down a peg. Overall pretty comfortable out of the box and I love the zipper for on and off.

The quality is awesome. The fit was perfect and they broke in quickly. Just follow their suggestions on what size you need.

Quality construction and craftsmanship. I love the fit and look, they are very universal boots can be worn with mostly anything.

These boots Are impossible to put on. I cannot wear them And I would like to exchange them for something I CAN wear. But on looking At your site now it seems to say "final sale" so I am out $200.

I dislike that I reached out to you guys as I received a pair of these as a gift for Christmas and was told basically I can't do anything. I looked at the receipt for these trying to do the exchange and it said nothing about final sale. Maybe becauae it was a purchase on a cellphone, not entirely sure. Simply wanted to exchange, and now seeing quite a few reviews with the exact same conclusion yet it looks like potential resolutions are being made? This was "supposed" to be my first pair of these boots. Literally just want to exchange them instead of basically reselling through your site.

Very disappointed with Frye. Im a return customer and the boot doesnt fit. I dont want a refund, just an exchange for a correct fit. It makes no business sense to deny me an exchange for a correct size. I cant wear this boot as a size 10 even though Im a 10 in all other shoes and boots. I work with luxury retailers and they are very surprised that Frye lacks basic customer service, especially considering Im only requesting an exchange and not a refund. Why would Frye not want me to wear the product. Please reconsider.

I've had quite a few pairs of leather boots, but these are by far the best quality shoes I've ever owned.

Love these boots. These boots run a 1/2 size big. I normally wear a 9. 5 so I ordered a 9 and they fit perfect.

More combat-boot-like then I anticipated but very comfortable without having to break them in.

I left a review and it has not posted. Why is Frye screening reviews. I had a negative experience and wanted to share it. I used the size tool on Frye website to purchase two pairs of these boots for my spouse and I. Both our pairs arrived way to small. Frye will not answer the phone and has not returned any of my voice mails or emails. As a result I'm stuck paying a return shipping fee for an issue out of my control. Also the leather on the boots looked like bonded leather. The boots were not nearly the quality I have experienced with Frye. Hopefully Frye will allow my honest review to post this time.

Very well made

I'm a huge fan of Frye's Bowery line and have something like 5 variations of it including the Antiqued, worn version. I wear those so much I wanted a second pair so ordered them on sale. They arrived and basically are just another shiny pair of black boots. The expected wear consisted of a few vague spots. Clearly, no one took the time to make them appear as their marketing photos. Yes in 2 years of wearing they might finally have the advertised patina. But that's not what I wanted or ordered. So, they were returned. At a cost if 12 bucks from me for Frye's misleading photos. I love the brand but size and misrepresentation of photo vs reality are sometimes a provlem.

The boots fit perfectly, and they look great. Very happy with my purchase. There was an issue with shipping but not on the part of the company. Customer service was quick and overall fantastic. Would buy again, and look forward to buying others in the future.

I wear a size 12 in all my boots. I bought a size down because based on the reviews, that was the right choice. Still way too big. Exchanged them for a smaller size and theyre still too big. Now I cant return them because of some return policy. $250 boots and they dont fit.. great.

Cognac is a beautiful and soft leather with a very quick break in and rich smell that lasts the life of the boot. I wanted this boot in black. When they arrived, it was a completely different experience. Almost too stiff to even get on. Soles left black scuffs all over our kitchen. Not at all happy with the black bowery... only buy Cognac with this boot!

I've bought this boot in Cognac several times actually, and when I needed a black pair, I bought the same boot because I've worn and loved this boot for a while... but in Cognac. After receiving the black ones, it was immediately apparent the boot was far stiffer out of the box. Even though they're zips, it was unbelievably difficult to even put on. Even worse, the sole wasn't constructed the same and left black scuff mark all over my kitchen floor... anyway, be aware that this boot varies dramatically. I recommend Cognac only. Their quality has been consistent with each purchase.

I wear size 11. Ordered size 11. Too big. Cant exchange because sold out. Now stuck with boots that dont fit.
