This is a big coat. I’m 6’ 185lbs. My closet of shirts and coats are almost even split between medium and large. This medium fits like a large. Otherwise super warm and a great coat.

North Face never disappoints. Super warm and stylish coat. Worth the money as it will last. We first purchased the medium for our almost 15 yr old, then sent it back for the large size. Usually North Face runs big, but with this coat it is a little more fitted. Great purchase! And like usual, ZAPPOS was absolutely WONDERFUL with the return process! They make it so easy!

Great Parka for cold winter weather and snow

This jacket is really great; it's nice, warm, stylish, and very thoughtfully crafted. I live in Alaska and work on the Northern Slope, and so far this jacket has served me well in very cold temperatures. The face cover that is attached to the hood is a great convenient feature, and I also love all the pockets the jacket has. I ordered an XS, I'm 5,6 130lb (if this info helps anyone with sizing).

Moved to northern Michigan and need a warm jacket. This fits great and isn't too heavy

Before buying I read all the reviews, most people said buy a size down, which I did, and I had to send it back because it was too small. I'm 175Lb, and 5'7. And I got a M. Now it fits perfect from the S I had bought.

Hope NF brings this model back into stores next winter. Don't really like the Gotham II and III models. Love this jacket! Weak point is the front zipper. I had to replace it with a larger zipper at a tailor last winter. I made the mistake of letting my partner machine wash this jacket - not recommended as the down feathers clumped up inside the shell. Would definitely recommend this jacket to anyone. I also have a Canada Goose Chiliwack, but the Gotham does pretty much the same job for a fraction of the price.

I am tall and slender, and usually have trouble getting a good fit with jackets and shirts. Either the sleeves are to short or the body is bulky. I usually buy a large shirt and tailor it to make the body fit right. Jackets are not so easily altered. Thankfully this size large Gotham III is a perfect fit! I will comment that this is not exceptionally warm, or as warm as I had hoped. But it is warm enough for near or just freezing temps. Any colder, and I will have to start layering or switch to a heavier jacket. My only complaint is the fur trim or the hood is not fully adjustable. Initially the faux fur is in my face, blocking my vision and is annoying. The solution is to tuck the fur beneath the hood. The faux fur is then an effective block to keep out any wind or cold and it is out of my face. The fashion statement takes a dive, but the head is warm and I can see. I pick warm and sight.
