I was looking for a high quality jacket at an affordable price, and you typically get what you pay for- not in this case however. Took a chance with an online purchase and NorthFace delivered a high quality product. Great fit and style to this warm jacket.

excellent for cold days,, need a hat under hood for windy days, otherwise air leaks through hood. face mask is great for wind! Hood needs to be designed better.

The day after it arrived I tried it out in 20 degree weather and I was toasty. The zipper is a little odd but not as bad as some say and it is not as loose fitting as some say. I am 5'10" at 190 lbs and a large is snug but not too tight. My measurements are on the upper end of large and I usually go XL but most of the comments indicted it was loose.

Haven't had coat very long but fit was great. I am 6 ft 1 in 230 pounds and XL fits great. Very warm and comfortable coat. Definitely recommended

I have been a McMurdo fan since the jacket debuted in 2000. A waterproof and windproof down jacket with extra length and a full hood? Perfection for those days with little activity but extreme cold. Countless Boy Scout events in the winter have been made comfortable with this coat. I love the double zipper for the main zip. A great upgrade from the single zipper for getting into and out of vehicles. I miss the Velcro closures, but the snaps have a good positive feel to them. Overall I am extremely happy with my upgraded McMurdo jacket.

Buy a size smaller than normal

Bought this jacket during a winter sale for about $200. I live in Michigan and the jacket is a true savior. Heck, there are times when I wear a thin t-shirt under my jacket in 10 degree weather!

I wear this coat when the temps are going to be below 35 degrees. It's very comfortable and keeps me warm.

I wear it when it's really cold, raining and/or snowing. No need to layer; I just wear a t-shirt with it as it traps heat, the only con is the sleeves are an inch too short.

Loved the jacket that made Chicago weather very bearable and fun to be outside!

I wear this product everytime it is cold, rainy or snowy. It is perfect for all weather. The only con is that it is so warm that you can get easily hot once you are inside or in a car.

Awesome jacket - keeps. me warm in rugged northeast and the jacket works great. Its stylish and fits well and has great amenities. The only bad thing is its hard. to see the zipper and get it zipped up as its a full-length coat. But, other than that, I couldn't be happier - I am extremely picky with coats and I found a great one in this coat!

I am 5'7 and 175 lbs. I fit well into most medium-sized jackets. However, I found this jacket didn't fit as snug as I would have liked. I bought a size small and it fits great. Extremely warm and without restrictions in movement.
