It has just gotten really cold in NYC and my son wore this new coat to lunch. He tried to zip it up as we were leaving and the zipper broke in half. It doesn't work.

Even though the jacket is very warm and good looking, you can not zip up. Every time you have to struggle to align the zipper.Very poor design for this price.

Horrible zipper on otherwise good jacket. I wore the coat for 4 days and the zipper began to jam and I have been unable to zip it up since. Will return.

The only people who gave this jacket 5 stars are those who think 0 degrees is cold. I live in Manitoba, Canada. The wind gets in through the hood and there is no powder skirt to keep the wind from sneaking up there as well. The draw cords don't do their job at keeping the wind out. The material wears out fast and it is NOT waterproof! Did I mention the collar feels like it's strangling you!

The warmth is there however its supposed to be a parka - the hood barely fit on my head its too small.
Secondly this is one of your warmest parkas make the hood a snorkel hood.
The sleeves have valcro to tighten them but this doesnt keep the cold out need rib cuffs.
The sleeves lacked enough down to keep cold out.

I guess I bought this online after trying on North Face coats at a store. I would usually fit into a small. But I got this coat and the sleeves are much smaller than the other coats I tried on. And now that its cold 10 above it is not warm in the arms. Even with a fleece layer under the jacket. So I am mad I spent $300 on this
