It's extremely extremely warm and I also appreciate how warm the hood keeps your whole head and face when using it!!! I haven't figured out how to use the built-in face mask yet but I'll get there LOL I also found it to be much lighter in weight than I originally imagined but it's cause the down in this jacket is really really good at holding in air which people say allegedly is the best insulator :) I'm 5'11" and weigh about 200lbs (huskular build) and I got it in a large, and it fits perfectly. I got it in black and I recommend doing so since you can wear it with anything.

As previous comments have stated, the zipper can be hard to initially engage and is a little undersized

I first ordered the Gotham which I had to return because it wasn't big enough around the chest so I needed a triple x large rather than a double. IT will take me a few attempts before ( master getting in and out of it as far as the zipper goes as I am also using an oxygen cylinder tank and the air hoses may interfere with the zippers when I put it on or take it off. The parka is much more spacious than the Gotham III which was more of a normal winter coat rather than a heavy duty winter parka meant for the SWISS ALPS or Mt Everest in Asia. It would have been nice if the NORTH FACE could have included a temp range in the box as far as how suitable and warm is it if the temps reach minus 30 or minus 60? Some coats aren't insulated for extreme cold ranges that run 2-3 weeks/

Using in the city of Chicago where it can be cold in late fall and winter. Way better than the competition.

The parka definitely look and feels great. It is awesome if you also want to do slight layering under it for both warmth and fashion.

I bought this for my husband after he spent weeks comparing reviews of winter coats online and this one seemed to match up with coats which were around 4 times the price! He works outdoors in freezing temperatures over the winter, lots of standing around, and he is raving about this coat, he loves it, especially the built in face guard.

Fantastic Jacket. I'm from Texas and haven't had a proper winter yet, but this thing is insanely warm. The zippers are a bit tricky but it's because it's not worn in yet. Definitly recommend.

The coat is really warm and quality is good. But the size is too large. My height is the same the model in the picture but size M is too large for me.

I was in Iceland and tried on the Canada Goose Langford. I loved the fit, finish, feel and look of the coat. The zippers were pretty difficult to maneuver though. The price is high, but what turned me off more was that I not interested in the branding & attention garnered for wearing the trendy status symbol. I have no problem paying a premium for quality and functionality, but in the end didn't feel the coat was great enough to warrant the price. My search for a quality alternative had me running through multiple other brands at various price points $400-$800. The finalists were the Woolrich John Rich Arctic Parka, Fllaljaven Yupik, Northface Nuptse Ridge Parka and McMurdo 3. I ordered both Northfaces and the search ended with the McMurdo 3. The Nuptse was nice but it didn't quite fit right. The McMurdo felt very similar to the Canada Goose, had similar pockets, looks very sharp, felt just as warm and the zippers were much easier to maneuver. I knew this was the coat I was looking for and returned the Nuptse. Lifetime Warranty, premium brand, similar quality/features and 1/3 the price. 100% if you are searching for a more reasonable alternative to the Canada Goose Langford without sacrificing much, buy this coat, you will love it!!

This was a gift for my son for college in the upper peninsula of Michigan. It is warm, stylish and windproof. He loves it. It fits a little big, but we knew that before and chose the size accordingly. He is 5'9" and 165 pounds and a medium fit well with plenty of room for a bulky sweater under. He loves the built-in face mask.

I like the warmth and the windbreaker aspect of this jacket. I think the sleeves are a bit short but the torso is plenty long. Additionally, I would have liked to see zippers in the armpits to allow more breathing. Overall, a really great buy and I am happy with the pros of this jacket.

I'm 5'4"so I decided to buy an XS size since every jacket I've ever purchased, regardless of its brand, has always fit me long at the sleeves. I caught this Parka on sale. They even shipped it free! I tried it on at home and everything about it hugged comfortably in all the right places. The sleeves were perfect. You can adjust the wrist width too. The zipper won't pinch your chin and its large and easy to grip. The pockets are huge and there are also more pockets behind the front bottom pockets seen in the picture, perfection. The icing on the cake would be the pull over fleece FACE mask that is pre- stitched onto the inside of the magnanimous hood. You don't have to wear it though, it can be hidden in the back to warm up your neck some more. I have not field tested this Parka because it's barley Autumn here in NYC but I know it's going to be all that and a bag of chips.

Bought this jacket for an impending relocation to Chicago, and just from wearing it around the apartment, I don't think I'll be disappointed. Super comfortable, super warm, and stylish too! The jacket does run large, though-I typically wear a small in TNF, but this jacket needed to be exchanged for an XS.
