The product is great! It will absolutely helo during Winter, especially in cold and snowy places as where I live. Moreover, I though it was going to be heavier than it actually is. Its a good thing is a bot longer, coat size, in order to cover part of my legs.

I loved the design of this parka at first, it's amazing! Yes, the price was high, but I will wear this for several years, so that's okay for me. I live and work now in Belarus and hope that this parka will protect me in cold winter(it's about minus 10-20 degree here). I have already advised it to my several friends, hope that they will like it too. Thanks!

I use the North Face McMurdo Parka for urban stuff like waiting standing waiting for the bus, walking about and sometimes if it's reallly cold I shovel snow while wearing it. This is a very warm jacket that blocks the cold Edmonton wind even in -25C temps. From about -15C to about -30C at night this parka is in it's element and at -25C it wears perfectly and is cozy warm. At about -30C I can slightly feel the cold on my shoulders and upper back. I don't wear it when it is warmer than -10C because the McMurdo is too warm at those temps. The shell is very durable and I expect the McMurdo to serve me for many more years. The fake fur ruff is not sewn onto the hood and I had a tailor sew it on tight to keep out the wind when I have the hoody up; a $15 sewing modification that made a huge difference. I've never used the built in face mask protection because I've never needed it even down to -35C in windy conditions. A major improvement though would be to have a elastic cord to tighten the hood around the face because when it is really cold and the wind is realllly blowing strong the hoody then becomes a wind sock if you face into the wind and the wind then goes in around your head. I've had 3 North Face McMurdo parkas now and that's because the first one was stolen, the second size large because it became too small and now the 3rd XL is working out well. I am 6 (183cm) feet tall and about 270 lbs (123kg) and the size XL is just starting to get slightly snug in the belly but I can loosen the elastic bungy a tine little bit more. For the price the McMurdo can't be beaten and the available comparable options cost double or more. I highly recommend the McMurdo.

Thick and heavy. Haven't tried it in winter. Hopefully will work great during winter in Chicago. Recommended by a friend in Chicago.

This coat reminds me of my triple fat goose I had in high school. Stylish, warm, and comfortable. I wore it around the house and didn't break a sweat. Enjoy the sleeve being just right and adjustable. The hood is made into the collar so it's not bulky. Love this coat!!!

I bought this jacket back in January in preparation for a trip I took to Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. This jacket kept me super warm while standing outside in long lines and waiting for buses in freezing cold temperatures. I spent a lot of time researching the right jacket before purchasing and this one consistently topped "best buy" lists as the warmest jacket for extreme weather. It certainly has proved to be a best buy for me! It looks great, and the chest hand warmer pockets were a real plus when I didn't have time to put gloves on. Unfortunately I bought the jacket right before I lost 45 lbs, and the size M jacket no longer fits me, which is a real shame. But I would still highly recommend it. Great jacket, super warm, and extremely comfortable.

Great garment never expected such overall performance and coverage. I moved from Puerto Rico to Watervliet Michigan and the extreme change of weather could not be greater. Everyone of my friends and family members told me I was overspending on a coat. To that I answered better to have it and not need it to needing it and not having it. Totally enamored with my choice.

Love this coat. Very warm! Too warm for most of the winter, but I bought it for those days when the wind slices right through you. Its season coulda be expanded with some added zippered vents. Love the two-way zipper. It is a little quirky to get started as others have mentioned but the more you zip it then more intuitive it becomes.

Very warm, I put it on and within minutes I started to sweat. A bit on the heavy side and trying to zip it up takes some practice.

I have only had this parka for a short time. I has kept me nice and warm in really cold weather. Does a good job blocking the wind. Have't tested it in the rain yet, but I feel confident that it do a good job handling that also.

I have been using TNF products for over a decade because they have very good quality items at reasonable and affordable prices. They also last a long time and their YKK zippers seem to be indestructible. Highly recommend anything they make but especially the jackets because I own many. Thank you TNF, keep up the great work!

Nice coat. Very warm. This was a gift from my wife. It keeps me warm in the coldest day. All I need is a T-shirt underneath because I get hot quickly.

Husband pleased with fit, warmth, comfort relative to the coat it replaced. He has no issue with operating the zipper as many others have stated, time will tell about its sturdiness. It's not as heavy duty as the zipper on my Canada Goose parka, but it's the same as the zipper on my four year old North Face Gotham parka, and I've had no problems with it. Great coat for the price.

I bought this jacket in preparation for next winter. This will be ideal to wear in Idaho's cold winter months and will be a must wear to 8:00 kick offs for Mountain West Football games.

Fit is perfect but if you want some extra room you may need a larger size. Coat is substantial and will keep you warm in very cold weather. Looks great and I am very happy with this purchase.
