The fit was okay but the style was too boring. No details or accents. Also the hood was small, and the faux fur looked ugly and cheap.

This jacket is very stylish - the cinch at the wait makes it look more feminine. However, when it's windy out it does very little to protect you unless you are wearing at least 2 layers underneath. It doesn't seem to hold heat very well, which was a huge disappointment. If you're looking for a good winter coat for temps under 40 F, I would go with another coat.

Always keeps me warm, great for walking dog. Sleeves seem too long and bunch up.

I didn't love this coat. I bought it in vintage white, which is more of a cream color. It's long, and warm, but it's stiff, which makes it uncomfortable. The waist is tailored, which was nice for looks, since the coat is so bulky, but not so much for comfort. In addition, the double zipper was tricky and frustrating! I really wanted to love this coat, but it's going back...

I normally wear a size small in fitted items but decided to go with a medium so there is more room for layering. It's a nicely made, heavy jacket, but I found the shoulders to be a bit tight even in the larger size. (I have broad shoulders.) If I went any larger this jacket would be way too bulky. I decided to return this jacket and keep a different option.

This is definitely a slim cut coat. I am 5'2" 127lbs and I could not fit comfortably into even a large size. That being said the coat did seem well made and warm. Unfortunately it had to be returned. Will have to go back to LL Bean.

Advertisements for this jacket kept popping up and I loved it and had to buy it! I think the jacket has a lot of potential, but the arms were a little too puffy at the shoulders, and the waistline doesn't have anything to adjust it/pull it in. I am 5'2" and petite, so it may just not be a good jacket for me (I ordered an xs in black). It's very warm and well made, so I definitely recommend it. north face offers easy returns/exchanging! I ended up returning.

Lovely jacket but I'm 5'4" and it seemed to long. Was not fitting to my shape. A medium seemed too big and a small was snug

I like the coat, stylish and light, but I have an issue with the hood. The hood to me is not deep enough despite the faux fur making it seem like its deep. The pockets aren't deep enough and when the parks is zipped all the way up, it bunches up at the neck. The length of the parka is perfect and the grey color is nice and sutle. It's a nice parka, I just have some minor issues with it.

Jacket is very warm and attractive but fabric is stiff. When zipped to neck, it feels uncomfortably tight and stiff. Hood was unusuable because snap fastners were defective.

Pretty good coat. Constructed nicely. Good to about -20 Celsius. After that you probably don't want to spend too much time outside in it. I am losing feathers through the pockets after only about a month of wearing it. They could have used a better fabric behind the cozy fabric they did use in the pockets, to prevent this. I really love the hood. So many coats these days come with huge hoods that blow off your head in the smallest puff of wind, with no fasteners to keep them up. This hood is smaller and buttons on the sides, and if you keep the detachable fur edge on, it adds a little weight to help keep it on your head as well. I am 5'4" and the length goes to my knees in the back and slightly above my knees in the front.

Love the jacket. Nice and simple. It just runs a bit small. One size to the other isn't a big difference.

Like the coat, but was disappointed in the color. It is does not have the sheen or emerald brillance that the green has - is more like a pine. Might return because my disappointment is that great. Only got the coat because of the color.

It was a smidge too snug in the shoulders/chest area. I loved it otherwise, I think the large would be too big.

I’ve owned this jacket for almost a year and I really wanted to love it but I don’t. I love the color and the length. This jacket it so heavy and bulky and restricts movement. It’s hard for me to get in and out of my car with this jacket on. It’s also not warm enough for me. I was out in 32 degree cold snow in Omaha today and I was cold in this jacket. It’s already too thick and bulky for me to layer much underneath. I wish i could return it.

Tried out this coat. It feels warm and overall would make a great winter coat. However, the fit looked very bulky. With the extended length coat, the bulk extended to the mid thigh, and was not as slimming. I know the down tends to add some bulk, but the shape of the coat didn't help. Otherwise, the arms and hood had a great fit. Some hoods are too big/limp and this one fits perfectly. The shade of red is great for casual/business use.

Bought this one two weeks ago and returned it today, the down was getting out and I basically looked like a chicken every time I wore dark clothes. It's not my first down coat, I know down can get out, but I've never seen that much out. The parka looks great and the fit is perfect, but it was not for me !

I am 5'4 and 130lbs and I got a small because that is what the sizing chart recommended. It was a very tight fit, especially when something was layered underneath. I could not move because of that. It's a great jacket overall but it does not fit true to size.

I love that this coat is so warm BUT the feathers come out onto my clothes. It sucks that when I get to work I have to inspect my clothing for feathers, especially for the price of the coat. My son also recently purchase a NF down jacket, and he has the same problem. What's the deal? I am considering taking the coat back.

It seems like a very warm jacket however the fit is a little big. Especially the hood - it seems to swallow you. Maybe a different style would be better for me. I just want something for when I return home for visits during the cold months.

This coat was very very small. I could not even get closed to zip it. It was beautiful to look at, I wish I could've worn it to test it. Runs very small. I would recommend it for somebody who's very skinny. But definitely order up.

I ordered this coat in a M and was so excited to try it on today. Everything was great about the material and look - I love the matte black color and overall silhouette. However, I am about 5'81/2" and about 150 lbs. I have a lean athletic build with broad shoulders. When I zipped the coat up, I know there would be a problem -- the waist was about 3 inches too small, with no drawcord or anything to control it. So unfortunately, because of one area, the coat has to go back Its too bad! I have a Miss Metro coat in M and it is so comfy I could be in it 24/7...I wish the cut on this was a bit more aligned to the overall proportion. If i go up to an L I would be swimming in it. I suppose this coat is good for folks with absolutely no flab on the waist.

I recently purchased this coat for an every-day cold weather coat for commuting by train in Boston. I'm new to cold weather so maybe this is a feature of all coats and I need to just get used to it, but the neck is so uncomfortable on this coat. It fits really high and is very stiff. The hood also fits very wide, which still lets lots of wind and cold in even if its snapped all the way. I really like the cuffs of the coat, and it is quite warm on the body and arms. For the price, it's overall a rather disappointing coat and I think there are probably better options for a similar amount or just a bit more.
