Love the versatility of this jacket. The outer shell is great for warmer, rainy weather, and the insulated layer is perfect for hiking. Together it makes a wonderful winter coat. My one tiny complaint is that the zipper is a little difficult to function and even with snapping the sleeves in place, they tend to turn inside out when taking off the coat. Other than that, I love this coat!

The zipper is a dual zipper and it always gets stuck at the bottom. I'm concerned it may not last long. It is a cute coat and the fit is good. Good for winter weather.

I bought this jacket to wear to Iceland in February so it hasn't truly withstood the elements yet. Although it seems like a quality product and that it will be resistant to the weather. I purchased the gold color and love it! It's flattering but slightly tight around my shoulders and beneath my armpits. However, that was with a couple of layers. I tried an XL as well but it was much too big. I'm 5'5" and 160 pounds for reference.

I love my new coat. The blue color is beautiful and I get many compliments on the color. The hood is not too big that it is covering your face. The coat material is loud (when it rubs against itself) It is waterproof material and so it has a rougher outer coat. I have worn it in 20 degree weather without wind and have been kept warm. If there is a strong wind with the cold I did feel it through the coat. I have yet to find the perfect coat for the bitterly cold days but this is the closest I have come so far. I love all the pockets! I do wish the hood was detachable, but the fur is detachable so that helps.

This jacket is well-made and decent-looking. It's very warm - too warm for my purposes, unfortunately. It also runs quite long and there are no petite sizes. For my height, 5-1", I am somewhere between a small and a medium but I feared the shoulders would be too tight if I ordered the small. I think overall the medium would have been fine, but the jacket looked pretty long on me and the sleeves were absurd - they run a bit long even for an average person. I wore it twice and it kept me very warm and was quite water repellant.

My daughter-in-law wanted this coat so my husband & I bought it for her for Christmas. She LOVES the jacket. She has been looking at it for months but kept talking herself out of buying it. She was very surprised when she got it for Christmas. She lives in Maine and says it keeps her very warm!

The Carson pass is a very good looking jacket , quality is tops .could be a little forgiving in the shoulders , I have difficulty getting it on .the double pull zipper doesn't always line up just right.

I've found that the few Columbia items I own do not fit me the way I'd like (I'm typically a size medium, sporty frame) which is usually more fitted and feminine. But, despite this coat being a little loose, I love how functional it is. It has so many useful pockets for me, and the material is a good quality. Very water and dirt resistant. Not as warm as my down coat, but warm enough with layers underneath. I have not tried wearing just the detachable inside liner but I look forward to doing so. The hood is huge and covers my entire head even when my hair is in a ponytail so that's very useful for wet weather! Overall a great coat

This jacket is perfect for the colder months. I bought it for a trip to a Germany in the winter and so far it has done well protecting against the 30 degree weather, rain, and wind. The thumb holes help keep my hands warm as well. The only con is that the black jacket with the brown fur lining and brown zipper pulls is not what you get as another reviewer also mentioned. It is a solid black jacket with grey fur lining. I'm not going to be THAT picky about it, but I do wish they'd update the product image so that what I received is what I was expecting. Otherwise it was a great purchase.

The jacket is very nice, really well made and the material felt nice. The inner jacket fit perfectly but the outer jacket was to big so I had to return it.

This is a really great coat. I have Reynodes disease and I don't even have to worry about it when I go outside in this coat!! The only thing that doesn't work for me is the hood. It's just too big but I can never find a good on a winter coat hood that fits my head!

The design of this jacket is excellent and there was definitely a lot of attention to detail when making it. I love the thumbholes in the under layer, the fleece lining in the hood, and the secret pocket on the chest. Plus it has a very flattering fit. All that being said, it's unfortunately just not that warm. It has kept me relatively warm in the 30 degree DC winter (when wearing a thick sweater underneath), but I know when it dips below that I'll need to break out a larger/warmer coat. It's really too bad because I love everything else about the jacket. I wish it could be my go-to winter coat.

The jacket is overall very good. The fit is large, bin the sense the shell does not contour will the body and is loose fitting, because of this the cold is not fully kept out. The rich wine is deep not bright as the picture. It took a while to arrive and I had an immediate need to use it so unable to return. Used it for a year now, have not got the slopes with it yet, but I believe it would keep well and warm.

Great jacket, but it must be an older model since the closures are snaps rather than Velcro.

I ordered black, it looks more grey. The fur was also grey, not brown like the photo. I love the double zipper but it can make it difficult to get started or unzip. It felt a little tight in the shoulders. Overall good, warm coat

I received this coat in the mail and am in love with how it fits and looks. It is really good quality and I was looking forward to wearing it this winter. I was worried the little puffer jacket inside would look a little funny if I wore it alone since it is a bit longer than hip length, but it fit SO well and was super cute. One feature was a deal breaker for me and I ended up returning the coat: it doesn't have any kind of elastic or anything similar to go below my butt and seal in the heat. I knew immediately my butt would be cold all winter. The search for the perfect winter coat continues...

The jacket covers all the bases. Its warm and waterproof. I took it to iceland and it kept me cozy and dry for a week. The ability to wear 3 it different ways is also very versatile. My only problem with the coat is the fit. Im 5'2" and 130lbs and an hourglass shape. It fits very stiff and bulky. It feels like its made for an apple shaped body, very roomy in the middle where it puckers on me and a little tight in the hips. The design is very straight. You can zip up from the bottom to accommodate, but you sacrifice warmth. There is a sinching string you can adjust but it just didn't work well enough for me, made it uncomfortable. I haven't worn the jacket since my trip a year ago. Will probably sell it.

This jacket is the perfect length. It is very warm and has a nice style to it. The only thing that would be nice is to have some optional venting.

I find the shoulder, upper arms area a bit constricted for this Large size ( the rest of the coat is well proportioned and typical fit, in my experience). I need it to be roomier for more ease of physical movement, so will very reluctantly return. If I had waif like upper arms-shoulders, perhaps would be fabulous. Alas, I am not a waif. Just regular, healthy, fit and happy size who needs to be able to lift, carry, shovel, etc. with ease in winter clothing.

I purchased this jacket because it was a three-in-one and it functions well as it, though getting the sizing just right was tricky for me. For reference, I am 5'1" and 115lbs, and originally purchased the Small. The inner puffer fitted comfortably, but when I wore the outer shell by itself I was drowning in it. I ended up purchasing a second XS to try on and compare. It was a better fit overall, but the inner puffer became a tad too tight around the chest/underarms. I decided I rather it be a tad too fitted than baggy. Overall, I'd say this jacket runs a little bit larger than most columbia items, but that will depend on which of the "three" in 3-in-1 you're referring to.

I am 5'5" and 145 lbs. I ordered the medium size. It is a little big on me, but I don't mind because I will be able to wear layers underneath. The quality is fantastic. The only thing is the picture shows that the jacket is cinched in the middle. It is not easy to cinch the jacket, you have to go through the pocket and I still did not achieve the pictured look. In the future if I wanted the cinched waist look I will get a jacket with a belt. I really like this jacket. It is very versatile which is why I purchased it.

It's a very versatile Jacket, but it was hard finding a size. I ordered a medium and a small and the medium was huge on me and the small just a little too snug for my liking. I stuck with the small in the end. I love how it's three coats in one making it perfect for travel and the changing Denver weather.
