I bought this for my college student daughter. She LOVES it. She is cold natured and she stays warm all day. On warmer days she wears just the liner and the waterproof outer jacket keeps her dry in the rain. We did buy up a size to large, i think the medium would have fit fine but she insists on the larger size. It is not too big it still fits very well.

I got this jacket about a week ago and have used it so much already! The quality is amazing and the details are exactly what I needed in a jacket! I've worn it in the rain and snow and it was great! Super warm and love how it looks! The length is great because it keeps you butt warm too lol but not super long where you can still bend and squat. I love that I can unzip the jacket inside to use the shell of cool weather. I would buy this jacket in every color if I could! I highly recommend this jacket for cold weather! It's nice you don't have to layer up underneath because the breeze doesn't come through the sleeves or jacket. I love it!!!

Just said goodbye to my previous beloved Columbia coat and so glad I purchased the Carson as my next one. Completely love that there are so many customizable features. I'm all about comfort, so the removable pieces make this coat fabulous for all season throughout the whole year. The inner shell is light, easy to remove and reattach, the hood fur is detachable for easy washing (while still keeping your fur soft and nice looking), and when the entire coat is together even the worst chilled winds are no problem to handle (especially since the length covers down to your thighs). Sturdy hardware and the great Columbia warranty make this an easy purchase. Highly recommend this coat!

The best jacket ever. Always keep you warm under low temperature. The pockets are warm too! It even looks fashioned! I'm really pleased with this purchase.

I have needed a new winter coat for a few years, and this one is everything I expected and more. The insulation layer is extremely warm; I'm always freezing, so I wear the insulation layer only while in class or studying at the library. The outside shell provides awesome wind protection and added warmth. In Nebraska, the wind blows every single day, so I've been thankful to have a coat that keeps me warm against the wind. The style is very flattering; the length hits perfectly below my butt (I'm 5'11") and makes me feel curvy even in a big coat! The ONE problem I have with this coat is that I ordered the black one, with brown zipper things and fur and the fur lining is actually silver, and the zipper things are black.

The jacket is very versatile.

I bought this jacket for a recent trip to Iceland. It is very versatile and could go from hiking a glacier to dinner ... I am a big believer style still counts in the cold. I was impressed with the fit and even more impressed with how warm it kept me. I agree with the other comments that the fur color on my hood was a different color than pictured, but the color sent was fine. Highly recommend.

This was a birthday gift for my daughter who attends college in a very cold location. She saw this coat in a store and really liked the versatility. So far, it has performed well and she has used it with and without the packable liner. The hood can be removed, which is a bonus. Great buy!

Perfect jacket for cold rainy days. 2 jackets in 1, easy to remove the shell and attach back on. Great hood, covers even when my hair is pulled back. Love this jacket more and more with the change in weather. The length hits you just below your hips. Lots of pockets, with zippers. Fantastic green color and the pop of orange on the lining is a added bonus.

I have been searching for high-quality, fairly priced, robust, waterproof, and warm winter jackets for a while and I was excited to come across this parka. I received the parka within a few days of ordering and when I opened the package and tried on the parka, I was pleased with my purchase! I feel exceptionally warm, but stylish wearing this parka and I highly recommend this parka!

I'm in LOVE with this jacket. I live in Central WA and it's already freezing out. I was looking for a green, warm jacket with an interchangeable shell, with a warm furry hood. Thumb holes are always an added bonus. This jacket had everything I was looking for. I tried to compromise with myself for a lesser jacket because I wanted to try this on first, but this one would not leave my mind. So I travel from Central WA to upper western wa to get it. I bought it on the spot. I'm snuggly warm now for winter!! Bring on the rain and snow. I bought an XL to fit my wide shoulders while leaving my middle kind of roomy. I like my waist more form fitting as the Large would have been perfect, but my shoulders say...nope...one size bigger and I'll leave you room to eat a juicy burger.

I LOVE this jacket. I bought a similar Columbia jacket a couple of years ago and I wore it everyday. When I went to replace it I found this fantastic interchangeable option! I unzipped the inside lining and just wore that for the first few weeks of Fall. Now that it is getting colder and wetter, I can zip the lining back in for the full jacket. The inside in water resistant while the outside is water repellent. Overall great purchase for the price especially since I feel like I got two jackets for the price of one! For reference - I bought an XS which is what I buy for all Columbia outerwear. I typically wear a small in most clothes but prefer a tighter fit for outerwear.

I love to be outdoors in the winter, and I've had trouble finding that right combination of warm without being too bulky. This nails it. Bring on the Blizzards, I'm ready.

This is exactly like in the description. The jacket that is inside can be worn separately and will come in very handy. The pockets, zippers and the loop to put in the thumb which will hold the sleeves and the cuffs in place are so convenient.

This jacket is exactly what I was looking for. The moment I put it on I could already fell the jacket warming me up. Great color and fit. The jacket does fit a little snug but I like that.

Nice cozy jacket that protects from rain and keeps you warm. The inner jacket is as long as outer jacket, would have preferred inner jacket to be shorter in length.

I love the coat. Easy to do a lot wearing it. Not too bright or full in the sunlight.

I have 2 of these jackets, 1 for skiing, 1 for everyday. While it could be warmer in neg temps, there's plenty of room for an extra layer while the cinch waist gives it shape. I like it best for travel and have worn the layers iindividually in various temps. In summer, I take off the fur and use the shell as a rain jacket. All and all, it's worth it.

There are many things I love about this 3-in-1 jacket. My favorite part is probably the abundant and deep pockets. I use the inner puffy-jacket liner as a fall/spring jacket and sometimes just the exterior shell as a windbreaker/rain jacket on warmer wet days. Full jacket worked well and was warm enough for a day snowboarding. My only complaint is that the zipper on the main jacket is a little tough/finicky to get started; I just wish it was an easier/better quality zipper. Ordered size small and I'm 5'6" 130lb.

I'm 5 ft tall and 130 lbs. I ordered a medium and it fits like a glove, which is good and bad. Looks great, feels a little constricting around the bottom. It's beautiful and i love ut. Could wish for prettier faux fur.

This coat is excellent in many ways with just a few flaws. One: I would have made the patch pockets have side entry. I like to put my hands in my pockets while walking, but putting them top-down into patch pockets is ungainly. I no longer keep hands in my pockets. Two: I would give the inner jacket a double-zip for days when that's the only jacket I need. For a longer jacket like this, not having a double-zip means it strains over my hips when I sit down. Three: the sleeves are too long in size XL. Manufacturers need to realize that just because a woman is "larger" doesn't mean her arms are longer! Otherwise I'm very happy. This coat replaces FIVE old coats of mine! Will check next season to see if these few stylistic issues have been addressed, and maybe buy a new one.

I bought this jacket hoping it would replace my previous winter coat, and it is so pretty, but it doesn't keep me as warm as I had hoped.

Haven't actually had the opportunity to wear it out yet, but it fits quite snug with the additional layer left inside. I'm sure removing it would give some extra room for a bulkier sweater/top. Either way, it seems it would be quite warm so it definitely does the job!
