I got this jacket for a farm show I work at where morning temperatures are in the low 30s, with rain and fog. I wanted something not as bulky as my parka that kept me warm throughout the day. I went into a Sportman Warehouse to try on the jacket before I made a big investment but they didn't have my size so I decided to order it directly from Columbia and I'm so glad I did. I'm cold even during the summer in 80 weather and I was so hot I had to take off the jacket at times. I'm waiting to invest in the long one next! I got a medium, I'm 5'3" 160 lbs 34 DD and this jacket fit perfectly. I didn't intend to wear any sweater underneath this, if so I would have gone with a large.

I wanted a warm coat that is light, not bulky. This is it! Very comfortable and warm. The color is darker than I expected, which is a good thing. I like it better!

I really love the Omni Heat technology. The jacket is great for cold windy weather. I love the thumb holes too. I'm 5' 10 and have a long torso and it fits me perfectly. The only downside is I prefer oversized hoods but this one isn't so you have to have your hair down with no hat on in order for it to fit.

I love this jacket and got it in Olive since it was on sale :) I really love the warmth! I wore it when it was drizzling and it's not only keeping me dry but warm too. Really like the thumb hole too. Overall it's a nice warm jacket, i just wish the fit is a little better for me. I got the XS but the sleeve is a little long and somehow overall fit is kinda loose.. mostly because i am small frame, it'd be awesome if they make a petite sizing too in the future. I still keep the jacket though!

This is warm without being bulky. It fits great and the little sleeve that covers the hands is warm also. Love this jacket.

Columbia never lets me down. I am very happy with this coat. It is VERY lightweight without giving up warmth. I think it would be perfect for outdoor activities, like cross country skiing or downhil skiing with the appropriate under layers. I am very happy with this purchase. The coat keeps me warm in 10 degree weather in MN just walking outside.

I love the quality of this jacket. I ordered the Nocturnal color and Its not too thick and does the job of keeping me warm, really like the fleece inside the hood of the jacket so I am extra warm even on the cold rainy days. I did listen to other reviewers and sized up to a Large and it was perfect. For reference I am 5'6 and weigh 120lbs.

Nice lightweight coat. Ok for layering, would size up if planning to wear with bulky sweaters. Not for really cold weather unless layered. I really like that the sleeves are long enough. I'm 5'10 and a size 12 in mostly everything. Large fits well.

I bought this jacket for a trip and it has been a great purchase so far. It is warm, but not bulky. Great investment!

This jacket is great quality and is true to its description. The insulation and thermal reflective technology keeps warmth while still looking stylish. I am a small person so it did fit me long on the arms but nothing too noticeable. I would recommend this product, i've been getting many compliments!

I originally bought this jacket in a Med but it was small across the chest* when zipped so I traded it for a Large. I think the Large is a hair big on me but it's ok since it leaves me lots of room to layer. I love the Omni-heat and this is my 3rd coat with it. You can't go wrong with this jacket. *5'8", 155, 36A

After reading all the good reviews, I ordered this jacket in nocturnal. I'm 5'1, 130 lbs and Medium fit perfect, and I still have enough room to wear another layer. Love the jacket. Shipping was fast. Will definitely be ordering more.

Let me begin by stating that I absolutely love this jacket! I wrote that it is "True to Size" because I ordered a medium, instead of a large. It fits a little snug, and not too tight. I have gotten many compliments on the jacket and I absolutely love wearing it! I have worn it when the weather in Southern California got gloomy and down to the 50s. It kept me warm, when I felt over-heated I just lowered the zipper.

I've been wearing this jacket for a month now and I love it! My favorite feature is the comfort cuffs, makes a huge difference in the cold. The only issue I have had is little white pieces of down insulation coming from the seams, but I have owned many down jackets and feel like that is fairly common. I would definitely buy this again!

I bought the longer version of this coat for my older daughter and she absolutely LOVED it. My younger girls wanted a waist length coat. So I was happy to find a shorter version and bought them in different colors (black & navy blue) for my picky college freshmen twin girls. All 3 of my girls think these coats are HEAVENLY (& I am happy because they are warm!)! The twins go to school in Ohio and they say the coats are super warm--even in 0 degree weather! Their favorite part is the "comfort cuff with thumb hole" which looks cool and keeps wind out very well. Other positive comments: zips up to the top to keep neck warm; it's waterproof; the hood is soft and furry inside (as are the inside of the pockets), which makes it very warm; the hood covers well without being so big they cannot see around it. It is also very lightweight despite being very warm. The shiny inside liner is a bit odd at first, but they don't mind and it works, so that's what counts. We can't speak for durability as they have only had it less than a month. Fingers crossed! But I am thinking I might need to buy one for myself!

This jacket is the best jacket that I have ever purchased. The Omni-Heat Technology is perfect for cold days. I am 100% satisfied with this purchase. I also love the fact that it has comfort cuffs with thumb holes.

I was on the hunt for a black puffer coat, and this one was the winner! It beats out all the other coats. I love it! I get many compliments every time I wear it. It's very warm and keeps me dry.

I love this jacket. It fits perfectly and isn't bulky. It keeps you warm, even on very cold days. I love the thumb holes. They help keep your hands warm. I definitely recommend this jacket.

This is a great hooded jacket for someone who may not want down (I am allergic). Very functional and the hood actually stays on my head. It's warm enough for 55F weather for me. I haven't tried it in colder temperatures. Caveats: -It feels bulky so definitely not packable -It runs a little small, not enough to go up a size but it feels more snug that other brands -There's some places I see some threads hanging out, not enough to bother but noticeable enough.

This jacket fits me perfectly for hiking. Its warm and yet lightweight. It would not work for below zero weather, but perfect for most upper midwest winter days when you are moving around. I am 5'2 36dd for reference got a M. Good quality for the $ very basic jacket. Super comfortable sleeves.

But this for my middle school daughter, fits her great and keep her warm. Have not tested it out in the extreme elements though

I ordered this jacket because my previous Columbia winter coat was my favorite and I wanted a replacement with a hood that would keep my warm. This jacket is very warm, fits well without feeling bulky and I love that the hood keeps me covered in the worst weather.
