I use this jacket for my everyday work. It looks professional and comes down long enough for when I wear dresses. It's not too heavy, but still keeps me warm. It's soft and get the job done great.

Don't hesitate to buy this coat, it's lightweight and warm, the 2 way zipper was one of the main reasons I bought it. I bought the XL and it was too big , sent it back for the large, I'm 5'7, 175#, XL was too big overall.

I got this long coat for Christmas last year. It is amazing. This one I bought for my daughter so she would stop BORROWING mine. The reason I bought the coat was because of the omni heat reflective lining. That stuff keeps you so warm. I am always cold and the omni heat keeps me warm enough that I can actually take my coat off occasionally. I always look for items with Omni heat.

This coat is perfect for my needs. We have relatively mild winters (lows in the 20s), and this coat keeps me nice and warm without being too puffy-looking. I’m 5’4” and the length is exactly what I was looking for (mid-thigh). Finally, I thought the built-in hand warmers might annoy me but I actually love them.

So I was nervous about getting this coat because I live in Wisconsin and winters can get pretty cold. I was scared it wouldn't be warm enough. Well I got the coat last night and it was a whopping 20 degrees out. I was outside in the coat for a good 10-20 minutes (with just a t-shirt on underneath) and normally I am shivering by then but I was not this time. The coat is very thin and light weight but it will definitely keep you warm. I am not one to be outside long in winter so I can not report on whether long exposure changes things but for short times it definitely does the job. I am in love with it. I am 5'6" and 115lbs. I got a small so if I am wearing a sweatshirt I still have room... I do. It fits perfect with a sweatshirt on.

I bought it in black and love it, the only problem is I got a medium and I am small on top and big on the bottom so I can barely sit with it zipped up. I want to exchange it for a large but they ran out. I'm a little disappointed but overall I love it.

I love this coat. I got it in green, and it's a very pleasing mossy color. It's lightweight but very cozy. The hood is great, with a cuddly soft lining. Also, I have long arms, and the cuffs with thumb holes are just (barely!) the right length for me -- if you're resigned to coats being a little too short in the sleeves (as I usually am), then you might be pleasantly surprised by this one.

I was hesitant to believe this could serve as my winter coat based on how thin it is but I have been very impressed. I love the long length as it keeps down to my knees warm. No more cold waist and butt! It is quite thin yet warm due to he Omni Heat Lining. I was concerned it may not be comfortable for commuting as I sit in a car an hour each way every day but it is the most comfortable coat I've owned. There is enough room in the hips and butt that it isn't to constraining and the thin weight makes it comfortable and not bulky with a seat belt. I haven't needed anything other than a single layer under it to stay warm in temps down to 25 degrees. I'm fairly curvy at 5'5" and 165 pounds but the large fits perfectly. I still have enough room for a sweater underneath as well if needed. Would definitely recommend.

I love this coat! It is not too bulky but it is well insulated and keeps me very warm! It fits very comfortably! I am about 5'5'' and 120 lbs and I was debating between the S and XS and I am very glad I went with the XS.

I absolutely love this jacket! I'm very fond of the fact that it's just as warm and similar in style as The North Face but half the price. The Omni-Heat Thermal reflective lining really does a great job keeping body heat in, along with the fleece lined hood. I even tested this jacket on a cold windy day & the inside attached sleeves succeeded in keeping the wind out! I'm 5' 8", 151 lbs, with a bra size between 36/C & 34/D, slightly broad shoulders, and long arms so I bought a size Medium and it fits perfect- very flattering & not bulky or wide. Great jacket for rainy weather as well! I will definitely be buying another one of these in a different color. Wish this jacket came in grey.

My daughter loves this Heavenly coat. Such a well thought out design, i.e. thermal reflective technology, water-proof for tailgating and football games, and looking so cute all at the same time. Also, perfect for the long walks to campus when its cold, windy and snowy. Thank you to the engineers, designers and Columbia.

I recently purchased this Columbia winter coat and I am very happy with it so far. I am 5"4, 134 pounds and I ordered the size Medium. It fits great, its slimming and very flattering. Super lightweight. The hood works great, I have worn it in snow and rain and the coat and hood kept me very dry and warm. The coat is surprisingly very warm for it being so lightweight. I was walking around the mall one day in it and had to take it off, I was getting a little sweaty. My only complaint is the thumb holes on the sleeves. I have never had a coat with those before so it takes a bit of getting used too. All in all a great coat, I highly recommend. The only reason I give it a 4 out of 5 stars is that I have only had the coat for 2 weeks and I am interested to see how it wears for an entire winter. I hope to get a few winters out of it.

This jacket is just what I've been looking for! It keeps me super warm but isn't too heavy where I feel like I can't move around. It's perfect to wear while driving too. Love that the pockets zip close and the hood offers great coverage from the elements. I highly recommend this!

I am 5'5" with a small frame and the size small fit perfectly. I tend to prefer clothes to fit just right. But yet I could still wear a light sweater underneath. I was surprised at how lightweight it is, yet warm. Not bulky or too "puffy" at all. The lining in the hood is soft. The comfort cuff with thumb hole definitely keeps the wind out at the sleeve. I wore it during a light rain and it repels the water nicely. I think it is a perfect everyday coat, yet nice enough for a dressy occasion. The length is good although it is a bit tight when sitting in a car. It is good there is a zipper at the bottom so it can be loosened. The pockets sit in perfect position to put your hands in and the interior security pocket is a great feature for tissue keeping! If you are looking for a warm coat that is soft and not bulky - this one is for you.

After purchasing the Barlow Pass jacket online and discovering that it was absurdly huge on my petite frame, I went to a Columbia store in-person to try on alternatives. While I generally find Columbia products to be fairly good quality and have features I want, they do not size for petites and the XS sizing seems to vary widely according to fit. But this jacket is just what I wanted! It is a longer parka style that is not puffy, thanks to the silver lining that gives you back your body heat. It really is a nice, slim fit that looks more feminine and fitted than boxy or bulky (I am 5 feet and 104 pounds). I like the arm sleeves and very soft sherpa lining the neck and hood. In person, I found I really loved the deep burgundy color over the also pretty olive I'd originally seen and liked online. The downsides are just that it has only one internal pocket and two hand pockets. I think a thick sweater would make for an uncomfortable fit; I was also a little concerned that I had to pick through the available jackets for one that didn't already have broken threads along the front seams - hopefully this jacket can survive! Also not waterproof, just water resistant; too bad. The upsides are that it is long but not crazy long, both hem and sleeves; and the slim fit / light weight that will make this comfortable and easy to wear on winter travels, as I sling my purse or backpack over it.

This coat is like wearing a blanket all day long! Since I've gotten it I haven't taken it off. I got a size bigger than I normally would to allow for sweatshirts to be worn underneath and it is perfect. I am 5'4" and 170 lbs and got a large and I can easily wear big sweatshirts under. It definitely isn't rain proof but it holds up just fine walking from your car to the store in the rain. Best jacket I have by far!
