I love this coat! Great length, love the wrist cuff with thumb holes and the fact that there is a hood. My only struggle was deciding between the large vs. XL. I'm fairly tall (5'10") with broad shoulders and the XL fit better in the shoulders with a better sleeve length for me, but the large fit better in the body. I ended up going with the XL for better movement and layering options. I really dislike being cold and I'm a fan of the Columbia Omniheat line so I think this will be a great winter coat for me. As always, Zappos customer service and return policy keeps me coming back. Living in a rural area with VERY limited shopping options to begin with (then tossing in a plague for good measure), I so appreciate their commitment to general awesomeness that hasn't waivered despite the circumstances.

I just got this jacket to replace a great looking jacket that started to fall apart (great brand/not Columbia/so weird) anyway... I love the fit and style of this jacket even more. It’s so soft and comfy. Like a warm hug. I love the hand warmers. They keep the wind out of the cuffs and push up easily if you don’t want to wear them. The hood is fuzzy and super warm. The overall coat is not too heavy or too light. There is an inside pocket which will come in handy. I am short-5’2”, but it hits a little longer than mid thigh which is perfect. The tailored waist makes the coat look stylish rather than bulky. I was in a pretty cold wind and felt warm and protected. I love this coat so far and highly recommend it.

I am 5'10" and weigh between 140-150 pounds. I ordered the medium and it fits perfectly. I looked and looked for a "tall" coat because normal coats have sleeves that are too short. Someone suggested this coat to me, and she was right, the sleeves are long enough even being standard size. I wear a size six pants, and have plenty of room in the coat when I sit down. It does not pull the zipper or stretch seams. I wear a 34A bra, and this coat gives me plenty of room through the chest to move my arms.

Great light, comfy jacket. I got the purple color and it is beautiful. I love throwing this jacket on to walk the dog or run to the store. It is light yet warm. I liked it so much that I bought a second one in black.

I love this jacket. I have big hips and was nervous about buying a long jacket, but this fits me perfect!!! Its not the warmest for really cold days but its not bulky and I love the thumb holes. I actually ripped mine tobogganing in March and I was so mad I couldn't find another one. But they finally came back in stock and I ordered it again.

Thin and not warm for snowy weather. Liked the style though.

I ordered size M and it fits my 5'6" 145 lb. self perfectly. Sleeves are nice and long, and I like the slim fit. Ordered it in Chalk since I wanted a very light color for my long daily walks on winter days in the Northwest. The zipper is kind of sticky, and I wish the hood could be drawn tight. But for the price I think I'll keep it.

I ordered this to replace my old Columbia jacket after the zipper and few seams were ripped beyond repair. I had owned that jacket for 8 years, living in Chicago and being a wimp to cold weather, I wore that jacket A LOT. I decided why mess with a good thing and I ordered the Heavenly long, hooded jacket. So far I am just as happy with the new jacket as I was with my older one. We have had some bitterly cold days (single digits with wind) and my new jacket kept me nice and warm. I LOVE the thumbhole cuffs and didn't expect they would be as effective as they are. I also love the red color. I was pretty sure the red would be too much for me and I'd send it back, but the red tone isn't a fire engine red, it's a bit darker and easy to add my existing scarves/hats/gloves too. I just hope this jacket last's as long as my last one!

Fits well, stylish, comfortable. Keeps me really warm. The hood is comfortable (that's not something I can say often!). The thumbhole cuffs are not. They are tight/pull and the fabric is icky, but they do keep me warmer especially if i'm not wearing gloves. As others have said, the zipper can be a pain - but I finally figured out that if I hold on the right and zip with the left, it mostly works smoothly. I wish it came in different colors - the navy blue is dark (and a little boring), and so are all the other colors. Overall, I like jacket. It does the trick, in wind and snow.

I bought this in a M and L because I was not sure what size would ultimately fit. I have a Columbia jacket already in L and it is PLENTY big. The M was way to tight. The L fit, but just barely over my chest. I am 5'3" 158 pounds with an hourglass figure (36G through the bust). I will not be able to wear anything bulky under this, but I do have my heavy duty SOREL to wear when it's REALLY cold here in Chicago. I wore this jacket for the first time today and it was 29 when I left the house and about 32 when I got down to the city. I was toasty warm walking from the train station to the office, for it being such a light jacket. I wanted something specifically for this type of weather, and it seems to fit the bill.

Pros: if you have short arms, like me, this coat is perfect. I'm also quite petite and I've never had a xs insulated coat actually fit me without looking like I'm swimming in it. The liner hood is soft and furry. Cons: I waited on a review because I wanted to give it a real cold test. Jury is out. It had hit 35 and below in seattle the past few weeks and I've found it to be warm-ish but much warmer with a layer underneath. The lining is a strange, thin, metallic material that's cold to the touch if you don't store it in a heater room. Cozy feeling it's not. The pockets are inadequate and much too small. The price was fairly reasonable given its synthetic material but if it weren't the perfect size. I'd probably return it.

First one I ordered had a bad zipper. Returned it and got another one. Same issue. The bottom of the zipper doesn't engage and disengage properly. Will be returning this one, too.

My first columbia coat. I love the slim fit and how light it is. I thought the omni heat will keep me warm, but it's not enough for a bitter cold winter we have here in MN. Perfect for spring and fall, or mild winter where temperature is above 30-40s. I need to layer a heavy sweater or jacket underneath to keep me warm. I've owned it for almost a year now and I can see there are some of the filling that pop out from the jacket slightly.

Loved the weight, length and style of this jacket so much! The fit is great. But the zipper is really poorly made, and after wearing for only a couple weeks, the stuffing is poking out and pilling up on the outside of the jacket.

This jacket is perfect for tall people with long limbs! The thumb holes do a great job of keeping the sleeve down when it's necessary, and the overall length of the jacket is perfect on my 5'9" frame. I'm usually a size 10, M/L, 175 lbs, and the large is a touch big on me but I wanted the extra room for layering. Warmer than you'd think and held up well to moderate wet snow with it mostly just sliding off. Only complaint is that there are some stray threads on the quilting here and there but overall I love this thing!

Love the coat! Fits a little snug. If you plan to layer size up.

I bought this jacket, size large, a month ago, in the dark nocturnal colour. I love, love, love it! The colour is great as is the fit! I had originally purchased the Joy Peak jacket in large but found it too tight on my arms. I am happy that I stuck it out and found this style as the fit works for me!!

This coat runs true to size. I ordered it in my size and have enough room to wear a sweatshirt underneath.

Medium fits a little looser than other Columbia jackets but it fits well. I wanted there to be enough room if i wore heavier clothing which i don't think there would have been with a small. The length is good.

As a teacher, I needed a warm and stylish coat that I could wear for morning car duty plus to get me through my son's winter high school baseball season. This coat fits perfect, looks great, and fits even better! I love the thumb-hole sleeves and hood too!

I wore this in NYC when the temp dropped to 14 degrees and it was incredibly warm. Wore a sweatshirt underneath and did not feel cold at all. I was worried as I have big hips, but I went up to a Large instead of my usual medium and it wasn't snug in that area. Being only 5'3", I was also worried the sleeves and length of the coat might be too long, but again, they were perfect! The jacket is super light. I rolled it up and put it in my oversized purse during my flight. The front zipper can be opened from the top and the bottom which was perfect when getting in and out of cabs. The only thing I'd suggest is making the zipper to the side pockets a little sturdier. I live in FL and will probably only wear this coat when I travel, but I feel it was money well spent!

I ordered this for my 91 year old mom and she LOVES it and it looks amazing on her. It’s very warm and being lightweight is so nice for her compared to a heavyweight coat. ZAPPOS never fails with there service!!
