GREAT SHOE!!! This is my third pair of Lowa shoes of this type over the past 10 years. Incredible support, rugged and long wearing. Wore my last pair virtually every day/all day in an industrial/construction type setting and they held up great. Finally just wore out but hey, that's 5+ years of incredible wear and tear - environment and they never lost their superb support characteristics. Hope they never stop making these - worth every penny!!!

The shoes fit perfectly. This is my fifth or sixth pair over the last 20 years and they have all performed well.

These shoes are obviously well made and look great. I am certain that these will last a long time and continue to look great.

Over the years I've bought several pairs of these Lowa Renegade GTX Lo. What I have found as that they run slightly smaller in size and so I purchase a size 16 Lowa Renegade and normally wear a size 15 in most other brands of shoes/hiking boots. What I like about them is their look and also they tend to be very waterproof. I take daily walks along trails early in the morning and run into morning dew and sometimes rain or snow. The Renegade tends to keep my feet very dry on those moist mornings and require minimum maintenance to keep them remaining dry over the year or so that I will wear them.

Functionally very similar to the earlier Renegades I wore out. Not sure if I prefer the old metal lace clips to the new lace holes but time will tell. With my narrow feet, I think the older lace clips may have been better for me.

I have a foot with interstitial tears in my Achilles tendon. No other show allows me to walk for several hours and not feel like someone has been hitting my ankle with a hammer at the end of the day. These are a bit warm for me for the summer but are great from November to April.

This is my 5th or 6th pair of Lowa hiking shoes over the last 18 years. They’re absolutely the most comfortable and durable hikers I’ve ever worn.

This shoe is a great for me. This shoe has a slightly narrow heel and generous room in the toe box This new version definitely has more room in the toe box than the previous model.

This is my second pair of Lowa shoes. They are great. I take a 14 and am big and a senior. I do a lot of walking and these feel like marshmallows on my feet.

Great shoes for walking our many NW trails in any weather. Love the metal catches at the top of the laces, Goretex, foot bed. And improved tread pattern. Never stop making these lo-cuts.

I work in a factory walking on concrete all day. Obviously not the intended environment for these shoes. But they work great. I normally wear a size 15, but had to get a 16 in these. I am definitely happy with the purchase!

I love this old favorite model low hiking shoe from Lowa. I previously had a pair and “walked the sole of them” after many years - probably more than 10, I don’t particularly like buying shoes on the internet. I’d prefer to try them on, double-check the fit, and walk around in them. But these shoes are hard-to-find in stores so I decided to go for it. My feet seem to be growing in my old age and my recent in-store shoe purchases have been getting bigger. Gravity setting in? Not long ago, I bought a pair of New Balance sneakers that seem to fit fine with my orthotic insert. They are US 11, EU 45, UK 10.5 I decided to try the Renegade GTX Lo in US 11. They came US 11, EU 44.5. UK 10 They seem to fit OK except for, maybe, a tiny bit of heel-slip on my right (smaller) foot. My conclusion is: The Lowa Renegade may run a bit smaller than other manufacturer’s shoes of the same US size … but not by much ! And the heel might run a bit wide. Probably start off ordering your normal US size. Otherwise, I love the shoe. Even though it is waterproof Gortex I do give them a water repellant treatment to help them shed dirt and keep their “spiffy, trail-ready” appearance. Happy trail walking wherever you may wander. I am off to New Mexico in my new shoes.

This is a relatively heavy, trail-worthy hiking shoe. I bought if for backpacking with loads of up to 40 Lbs. It is more the weight of a boot and provides a lot of foot support and protection from sharp rocks and mud. The mid-sole is polyurethane, not EVA, and is stiffer and more durable. I don't view this as a casual shoe. I won't probably be wearing it except on the trail, though it will be great in the winter when snow depth isn't an issue.

I bought these after reading the great reviews. They did not disappoint. Part of that may be that I think I have been buying my shoes a half size too small for my entire life. These are extremely comfortable and look great. I have been wearing them for a couple of months and feel they are well worth the cost.

Lowa makes very good boots and I have owned several pairs. These boots were just a bit too wide for me, even with thick socks. I returned them and bought the Salewa Alpine lo boot, which I feel is a better fit for a narrower foot. Also, I wanted to get away from the black look and went for something more interesting...

I've worn these shoes practically daily for several years. Since 2017? 2018? (It's end of 2022 currently) The Lowa GTX has been great. Not the prettiest shoe, but they are respectable. They've lasted a good long time, are still going and maybe by now I should replace the liner thing. One lace just now began to stretch to a break. I walk / hike 5 miles every day in these, mountain bike in these, travel in these, walk the neighbor dog in these. They support my delicate, high maintenance, bunioned, flat feet and, well, eventually I'll purchase another pair.
