This met my expectations and is nice to have to block the wind that sneaks in under the scarf It is a tiny bit itchy, but I expect that with wool. I ordered the striped one and I love the colors.

I have a couple of these excellent gaiters, and wear them all winter here in the Northeast. They keep me warm and cover up my ancient neck. Way better than a Buff.

I used this to go hiking across a frozen lake with lots of cold wind around me.The longer length allows me to pull the top up over the back of my head and the front to be folded down below my chin. This gives added opportunity to trap warmth for my body trunk. Thanks Smartwool!

Love it! Long enough to pull up over nose if needed and still keep my neck warm. Soft, warm, and comfy. I use it on cold bike commutes (anywhere from 30s down to single digits). Can't beat it!

This is the piece of gear I've been missing for my long runs in the winter. It stays warm. I can pull it over my ears and nose and it stays in place. Paired with the smartwool cap it's perfect.

I got this instead of a balaclava and I'm very happy with the choice. The long version is great because there is so much versatility. You can leave it as just a knack warmer. Pull it up over your ears and mouth or nose. For me it is long enough to pull it up to my forehead like a balaclava. Very soft and comfortable against your face. It also has a good temperature range for usability from single digits up to the 40s (Fahrenheit). Great performance.

My daughter needed a gaiter for track practice. The Smartwool gaiter fit her very well, kept her warm, and was very breathable during practice.

Great for winter running or hiking. Actually it is very warm. I used it with low low 40s temperatures and it was so warm I had to take it off. I'll save it for cooler temps but definitely a good purchase

Excellent Gaiter, tested it out in Fairbanks Ak from November to March/April and it met my expectations, kept my neck nice and warm, which is vital

So far, so good. Keeps the neck warm when down, stays in place when I pull it up over my nose. Haven't used in below freezing yet, but I'm hopeful...

I trap shoot & this keeps me warm

It's just fantastic. I use it everyday at work on the mountain and stay warm. I like the longer one for warmth than the shorter one personally due to keeping snow out of my jacket

Great gear for wearing around town. I have given up on scarves preferring the close fit of the wool gaiter.

I'm still waiting for enough snow to fly for skiing, but I tried on this gaiter and it is nice and comfortable. It will be a great asset when teaching ski lessons during this "face coverings required" season.
