I've used this on cool nights and added it as an additional layer when it gets really cold . It's very thin and warm but doesn't restrict your movements. The only downside is the length - I'm 5'9" and its just a little bit long under some of my other garments ,but not bad on it's own.

The vest was a gift to my son. Our family has shopped North Face for a number of years. When he chose this vest and sent me the web link for it I was happy to order it online, knowing that the vest would be the great North Face quality that we have grown to appreciate and to expect.

I use it as a middle layer for skiing. Provides just enough warmth, without restricting movement. Only thing I would change is the cut. For my body type needs to be a little wider at the top and narrower at the bottom. The cut made me choose between the ideal sizes at either of the garment. Chose the smaller size and it worked out OK. In general, this garment is produced large, so consider one size smaller than you normally wear.

I went to NF store to purchase. They did not have size/color but quickly ordered for me. I gave to hubby for Christmas gift, he hasn't taken it off.

Have used this all week skiing in Utah and it's provided the perfect amount of warmth under my ski jacket. Also great over a sweater just walking around when you need something extra.

My grandsons eyes popped out of his head when he opened this gift! So happy to see him so appreciative.

Second vest purchased this year from North Face. First was a birthday present for me in October, packable, great colors easy to wear. The Men's Thermoball was a Christmas Gift for my husband. Both are high quality products, thank you North Face!

My husband wears it over a sweatshirt for a quick hike or just out running errands.

Warm and light and good for layering. Only wish it was reversible and the zipper was the same as they are on the puffer jackets

As with all their products, this one is no different. It is fabulous and I love how light weight it is.

Love it only complaint would have loved an inside pocket and an outside top pocket.

I read reviews about sizing issues and was concerned about the size and having to return it....It fits perfect and I couldn't be happier. It's very very light and the ability to completely turn the whole vest into the pocket for storage is awsome and comes in handy at work cause everyone has they're jackets and there's hardly any room but when I turn the vest into itself there's room to put it away.

I wear it to work. I live in Anchorage Alaska and wear all different types of gear and this is very comfortable.

I love this vest! I am 6 feet tall and around 195lbs, usually I wear an XL, but the Large Thermoball vest is perfect. I can wear it as a base layer over a t-shirt, or as a secondary layer over a hoodie or light jacket. I had the opportunity to try it on in-store and the XL was definitely too big for my build. For being so light, this vest insulates very well. I am surprised at how well the Thermoball does at holding in heat.
